Jeddah Airports Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Changi Airport Group, Monday July 14, in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), as part of his official visit to Singapore. The MoU was signed by Eng. Mazen Johar, Chief Executive Officer of Jeddah Airports Company, and Mr. Yam Kum Weng, Chief Executive Officer of Changi Airport Group. The two parties aim to enhance collaboration across key areas such as passenger experience, operational efficiency, safety and security, air connectivity, and the use of airport technology and automation. The MoU also includes plans to explore future programs, fostering closer ties and expertise transfer between the two organizations. While the MoU sets a framework for collaboration, it does not impose binding obligations on either party. This initiative reflects Jeddah Airports Company's commitment to elevating King Abdulaziz International Airport's global standing as a regional and international hub and supports the objectives of Saudi Arabia's aviation strategy under Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and UK Government have signed a one-stop security agreement in London, aimed at enhancing the experience of transit passengers by streamlining security procedures at Saudi Arabia airports. Under the agreement, passengers travelling from UK airports via Saudi Arabia will no longer be required to undergo security screening during transit. Security procedures completed at UK airports will be recognised at Saudi airports, allowing for faster connections and reduced transit times, while maintaining the highest international standards of aviation safety and security. This milestone marks a strategic step in positioning Saudi Arabia as a global aviation hub, supporting the goals of the Saudi Aviation Strategy and Vision 2030 to enhance air connectivity and facilitate seamless international travel, said GACA in a statement. This initiative is part of GACA's broader efforts to leverage technology and digital solutions to transform Saudi airports into world-class gateways, ensuring secure, efficient, and passenger centric operations, it stated. The agreement was signed by Abdulaziz Al Duailej, the President of GACA, and Dr Rannia Leontaridi, the Director General for Aviation, Maritime, and Security at the UK Department for Transport. "This agreement reflects the high level of trust and alignment between the security frameworks of both countries," said Mohammed Al Fawzan, the Executive Vice President for Aviation Security at GACA. "It is expected to enhance the passenger journey by reducing wait times and eliminating redundant security checks. Saudi Arabia, France civil aviation authorities discuss boosting cooperation

PARIS: A delegation from the Saudi civil aviation sector, led by General Authority of Civil Aviation President Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Duailej, visited the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France, as part of the 55th Paris Air Show at Le Bourget, which ends on June 22. The visit strengthens cooperation with France in areas such as manufacturing, technology transfer, and localization of the aerospace industry, Saudi Press Agency said in a report. Discussions were held on mutual investment opportunities in aircraft design and assembly, as well as the incentives Saudi Arabia offers to attract high-quality investments in the aviation industry.
