Bin Habtoor, al-Rahawi address anti-drug seminar in Sana'a
Sana'a - Saba: Member of the Supreme Political Council Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor and Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi on Saturday participated in a seminar organized by the Ministry of Interior on the occasion of World Anti-Drug Day. The seminar, titled "Drugs are enemies' means of destroying the individual and society," highlighted the grave threat drugs pose to Yemeni society. Dr. Bin Habtoor commended the Ministry of Interior's efforts in combating drugs, describing them as a "scourge that threatens societies" and a tool used by enemies to destabilize nations from within. SPC member bin Habtoor asserted that despite a decade of aggression and blockade, the Yemeni people's steadfastness remains unbroken, noting that drugs are another weapon in the enemy's arsenal. He also extended congratulations to Iran for its "victory over the Zionist enemy," stating that "all the free people of the nation and the world should celebrate this victory." He concluded by criticizing "moderates" and "meager groups" who abandon their responsibilities. Prime Minister al-Rahawi praised the Ministry of Interior's anti-drug sector, emphasizing that "enemies deliberately used drugs in their targeted war for more than ten years in order to destroy the Yemeni people." He specifically cited information confirming that "the Saudi occupier, the Emirati, introduced large quantities of drugs to the occupied provinces and areas, including 'shabu' to corrupt young people." Al-Rahawi expressed hope that the seminar's recommendations would enhance anti-drug efforts, including necessary legal amendments, and stressed that combating drugs is a collective responsibility, urging the community to report suspicious activities. Major General Abdulmajid al-Murtada, Deputy Minister of Interior, reiterated that drugs are a serious problem targeting youth and an enemy tool for societal dismantling, calling for unified awareness efforts. Dr. Ali Abbas, Chairman of the Supreme Commission for Medicines and Medical Supplies, outlined the commission's regulatory efforts to control medicines and substances used in narcotics manufacturing, stressing coordination among authorities. Dr. Mounir al-Jubi, Professor of Criminal Law at the Police Academy, presented a paper on the religious, ethical, social, economic, and legal aspects of drug crime, advocating for updating the anti-drug law and continuous rehabilitation of security personnel. Sana'a - Saba: Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, a member of the Supreme Political Council, sent a congratulatory message to the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin al-Houthi, and His Excellency Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, President of the Supreme Political Council, on the occasion of the 35th National Day of the Yemeni Republic, May 22. In his message, the Supreme Political Council member extended warmest congratulations to the Revolution Leader, the President and members of the Supreme Political Council, as well as the heads of the Consultative, Ministerial, and Parliamentary Councils, the Supreme Judiciary, the steadfast defenders on all fronts—and through them, to all the people of Yemen on this national occasion, which marks the most significant achievement in the life of the Yemeni nation. He affirmed that this great national milestone embodied the will of the Yemeni people, from Aden in the south to Sa'ada in the north, and from Al-Mahra in the east to Midi in the west, reflecting their long struggle to restore Yemeni unity. He highlighted the pivotal events that preceded this historic achievement, culminating in the historic declaration on May 22, 1990. Dr. Bin Habtoor emphasized that the significant challenges faced by the unified state—both past and present—have not and will not undermine this great national accomplishment, including the divisive agendas , the separatist tendencies backed by the Saudi-Emirati occupiers and their supporters. He pointed out that in these critical times, particularly in the southern and eastern provinces, the conviction in the importance of national unity and the dangers of division—which only serve the enemies of the nation and their mercenaries—has grown stronger. Dr. Bin Habtoor noted that Yemen's history, both ancient and modern, demonstrates that its most prosperous, stable, and civilized eras were under a unified Yemeni state, while periods of division were marked by conflict and instability. He stressed that Yemen's strength, stability, and dignity lie in unity, which has proven to be a source of prosperity not only for Yemen but also for its Arab and African neighbors. He prayed to Almighty Allah that this occasion would return with a decisive victory over the nation's enemies, the complete liberation of Yemeni territory, and the deepening of unity in the hearts and minds of all.
