Interior Minister Oversees Hajj Operations at Mina's Public Security Command Center
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, conducted an inspection of the Hajj operations center at the Public Security Headquarters in Mina. During the visit, the minister reviewed the execution of security plans and the management of pilgrim transportation. He was also briefed on advanced technologies deployed at the center, including a long-range camera system and business intelligence dashboards. These systems, developed by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), play a critical role in data analysis, enabling informed decision-making and boosting the effectiveness of security operations and organizational performance. Prince Abdulaziz also received a report on key performance indicators for Hajj services. These metrics are tracked by the Hajj Project Management Office as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program, reflecting the coordinated efforts of more than 50 government agencies working together to serve pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey. Haj 2025: Saudi Interior Minister attends security forces' preparatory meet as annual Haj begins
MUMBAI: Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Haj Committee, reportedly attended the Ministry of Interior's annual ceremony of the security forces participating in the Haj season. Lakhs of Muslim pilgrims from across the world are currently in Saudi Arabia for the annual Haj being currently conducted. According to a press release, the event featured a military parade highlighting the contributions of various security sectors. This included simulations of numerous security scenarios and showcasing of aerial security units, specialized vehicles and advanced equipment utilized during the Hajj season. Lieutenant General and Chairman of the Haj Security Committee Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassam, in his speech at the ceremony, said that the leadership has dedicated all available resources to serving and caring for the pilgrims. Service to the pilgrims has been given a top priority. These efforts have produced outstanding results in terms of crowd management and enhanced coordination, planning and cooperation across different sectors, ensuring the successful fulfillment of objectives and providing the guests of the two Holy Mosques (Haram Sharief in Mecca and Masjid Al Nabwi in Medina) with the utmost security and safety.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud Sponsors Annual Ceremony for Forces Participating in Hajj Season
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, reviewed the readiness of the Hajj security forces to carry out their field duties in ensuring the safety and security of the pilgrims. This came during his patronage of the annual ceremony organized by the forces participating in this year's Hajj season, 1446. In a speech delivered during the event, the Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, affirmed that the wise leadership has mobilized all capabilities to serve the pilgrimage and care for the pilgrims, making it one of its highest priorities. He also noted that these great efforts have produced exemplary outcomes in managing human crowds, coordination, planning, and integration among the various sectors, thereby ensuring the intended goals and allowing the guests of God to enjoy the highest levels of safety and security. His Excellency stressed that the Hajj security forces are at the highest levels of readiness and preparedness, and are capable of dealing firmly and effectively with anything that may disrupt the security of the pilgrims or interfere with their performance of the rituals, thereby ensuring a secure environment for them to fulfill their religious duties. The ceremony included live field simulations reflecting various security scenarios, as well as a display of advanced security vehicles and equipment, including security aviation and specialized vehicles used during the Hajj season. Saudi Arabia on high alert to safeguard 1.8 million during Haj season
MAKKAH (Bernama): With over 1.8 million pilgrims set to perform the Haj this year, Saudi Arabia has placed its security forces on the highest level of alert to ensure their safety and the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage. Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Haj Security Committee, Lieutenant General Mohammad bin Abdullah Al-Bassami, said the forces stand ready to respond decisively to any threats that could endanger pilgrims or disrupt the rites. He made the remarks during a parade of security personnel on Saturday evening, just days before the wukuf ritual at Arafah. Saudi Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, was also present to inspect the readiness of the forces in carrying out their field duties and ensuring the safety and protection of pilgrims. The parade featured personnel from various agencies, along with security vehicles, machinery, and advanced equipment. A key highlight was the simulation of multiple security scenarios, demonstrating the teams' high level of preparedness to handle and neutralise potential threats. Saudi authorities earlier announced that the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Makkah will begin this Wednesday, with the Day of Arafah to be observed on Thursday, followed by Aidiladha on Friday. According to the General Authority for Statistics, a total of 1,833,164 Muslims from around the world are expected to perform the Hajj this year, including 1,611,310 international pilgrims and 221,854 domestic pilgrims. - Bernama
