Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the presidency, will deliver the sermon and lead the Juma prayer. Fahim Al-Hamid, general supervisor of media and communications at the Presidency of Religious Affairs, emphasized the presidency's commitment to translating the Friday sermon into multiple languages, serving as a bridge for communications between peoples and the exchange of cultures and civilizations. With live translations now available, Muslims around the world can connect with this sacred moment in their own languages, extending the reach of its powerful message to millions of the faithful.

Sheikh Al-Sudais directs to shorten Friday sermons during Hajj season
Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, has directed that Friday sermons and prayers be shortened during the 2025 Hajj season due to intense heat in Makkah and Madinah. The decision aims to ease hardship on pilgrims and worshippers, especially the elderly and those in crowded areas such as the mataf (circumambulation area around the Holy Kaaba), upper levels, and courtyards. It also includes reducing the waiting time between the call to prayer and the start of the sermon. Al-Sudais said the directive reflects the presidency's responsibility to provide a safe, spiritual worship environment at the Two Holy Mosques, in line with the leadership's directives. He added that the move considers the arrival of millions of pilgrims and applies Islamic principles that prioritize relief from hardship and ensuring worshipers' well-being in extreme conditions. Sheikh Al-Sudais also called upon pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques to diligently fulfill their religious duties, including prayer, zakat, fasting, and Hajj. He encouraged the remembrance of God through recitations of tahleel, tasbeeh, takbeer, and tahmeed during the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah. Al-Sudais advised all Muslims, particularly those performing Hajj, to seize opportunities that will benefit them in this life and the hereafter, following the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). He emphasized kindness, compassion, and generosity towards visitors and pilgrims as embodiments of noble character and respect for human dignity during this blessed time in this sacred place.

MADINAH, May 13 (Bernama-SPA) -- The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque on Monday launched a multi-pillar operational plan for the Prophet's Mosque during the 1446 AH Hajj season, aimed at promoting moderation and conveying the humanitarian message of pilgrimage. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the plan encompasses 100 enriching awareness initiatives and five smart enrichment pathways to enhance the digital experience for Hajj pilgrims. Additionally, it features 20 enriching pathways covering seven religious specialities, designed to convey the message of Hajj to the world in multiple languages, while supporting the Prophet's Mosque's message of moderation and balance. bootstrap slideshow The plan is built on three main pillars. The initiative aims to convey the universal message of Hajj and highlight its Shariah objectives in multiple languages. Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, head of the presidency, inaugurated the second version of the artificial intelligence-powered robot Manarah 2. The launch included several smart interactive screens, a global electronic recitation platform, and a multilingual Surah Al-Fatiha app. During the Hajj season, the presidency is focused on enhancing the digital experience through integrated services, AI, smart apps, and media, in line with its broader transformation goals. The initiative also supports Vision 2030 by utilizing advanced digital tools and content developed by local experts to promote the values of moderation and guidance rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Worshippers in Makkah and Madinah perform Eid Al-Fitr prayer
Saudi Gazette report MAKKAH — Amidst an atmosphere of faith, joy, security, and tranquility, thousands of worshippers gathered at the Grand Mosque in Makkah on Sunday's morning to perform the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, Imam of the Grand Mosque, led the prayer and delivered a sermon in which he extended heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim world on the joyous occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. In Madinah, worshippers filled the Prophet's Mosque in a similarly serene and spiritual setting. Among those attending was Madinah Emir Prince Salman bin Sultan. The Eid prayer was led by Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Buaijan, Imam of the Prophet's Mosque, who also delivered a sermon extending Eid greetings and emphasizing the values of compassion, unity, and gratitude that define the celebration.
