Palestinian Resistance Committees Commemorate 19th Anniversary of Heroic 'Operation Dispelled Illusion'

Gaza – SABA: The Palestinian Resistance Committees commemorated on Wednesday the 19th anniversary of the heroic 'Operation Dispelled Illusion,' carried out jointly by Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, Al-Qassam Brigades (military wing of Hamas), and the Army of Islam. The operation came as a direct response to the assassination of the prominent resistance leader and founder of the committees, martyr Jamal Abu Samhadana (Abu Ataya). In a press statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the committees said that 'Operation Dispelled Illusion' marked a humiliating defeat for the Zionist enemy and opened the door to a major intelligence and security war, which led to the capture of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit from inside his tank and the killing of several Israeli soldiers at the Kerem Shalom military site east of Rafah. They added that the blessed 'Al-Aqsa Flood' operation on October 7, which humiliated the Zionist entity, is a natural extension of 'Operation Dispelled Illusion' and the subsequent painful blows dealt to Israeli intelligence agencies—demonstrating the superiority of the Palestinian resistance's strategic capabilities. These efforts culminated in the 'Wafa al-Ahrar' prisoner swap deal, which secured the release of over 1,000 Palestinian male and female prisoners against the will of the occupying Zionist regime. On this occasion, the committees paid tribute to the souls of the martyred commanders: Mohammed Deif, Ahmed Al-Jaabari, Kamal Al-Nairab, Raed Al-Attar, Imad Hamad, Mohammed Abu Shamala, Marwan Issa, Hisham Abu Nasira, and the great martyr of the nation, Ismail Haniyeh. They also saluted the heroic martyrs who executed the operation—Hamed Al-Rantisi and Mohammed Farwana—and all the brave martyrs who contributed to its success and the prisoner swap deal that followed. Special recognition was given to the members of the 'Shadow Unit' for safeguarding Shalit for over five years. The committees reaffirmed that the Palestinian resistance, through its various valiant military wings and factions, remains steadfast in its relentless efforts until the liberation of all Palestinian prisoners who endure the oppression of the Zionist jailers in what they described as 'graves of death' known as Zionist prisons. Hamas, Israeli Occupation reach deal on captive remains exchange

"Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office confirmed an agreement with mediators to recover the bodies of four "Israeli" captives held in Gaza. A spokesperson for Netanyahu announced the deal but provided no further details. Meanwhile, Hamas stated that "the timing of the exchange of Israeli remains and Palestinian prisoners will be announced in due course." Two Palestinian sources told Agence France-Presse (AFP) that Hamas would return the bodies on Thursday in exchange for the Israeli Occupation releasing over 600 Palestinian political prisoners. One source said mediators informed Hamas that the exchange would begin that day, with resistance factions handing over the remains while "Israel" frees 625 Palestinian detainees. Al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades announced it would return one "Israeli" captive's body on Thursday as part of Hamas's broader efforts. A spokesperson, known as Abu Ataya, confirmed the group's decision to release the remains of Ohad Yahalomi and urged mediators to ensure "Israel" abides by the agreement. 'The Palestinian factions' commitment to this deal reflects their dedication to their obligations and to the welfare of our people and prisoners,' Abu Ataya said. Hamas indicated that the transfer will take place discreetly through the Karam Abu Salem crossing into Egypt, avoiding official ceremonies to prevent Israeli Occupation interference.

Palestine's Nasser Brigades choose to hand Israeli dead body on Thursday

Gaza - Saba: The Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades in Palestine announced today, Wednesday, its decision to hand over the body of one of the Zionist prisoners it has. Abu Ataya, the military spokesman for the Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades, said in a tweet on the social networking site X, which was reported by the Palestine Today Agency: We have decided to hand over the body of the prisoner Ohad Yehlomi Amnon Yaaloni, who has the military number "5110952" and is 50 years old, tomorrow, Thursday. "Israel" had evaded releasing the batch of prisoners last week, which created a crisis in completing the deal, but negotiations and contacts were held to resume it. According to the Zionist Kan Channel, "Israel" confirmed what Hamas announced that understandings were reached during the Cairo talks, according to which the Palestinian prisoners will be released and the bodies of the four "Israeli" prisoners will be transferred under Egyptian supervision. Regarding the body of the prisoner, the "Al-Nasser Salah al-Din" Brigades announced earlier that the Zionist officer Ohad Yehlomi Amnon Yaaloni, military number "5110952", who was captured on October 7, 2023, was targeted by the Zionist enemy along with a group of his prisoners and sustained moderate injuries and was treated, but the enemy preferred to target him by the Zionist Air Force again with the aim of killing him, and he was killed despite the brigades' persistent attempts to save his life. The "Al-Nasser Salah al-Din" Brigades then displayed a video clip showing scenes from the treatment of officer Ohad Yehlomi Amnon Yaaloni after he was injured by "Israeli" bombing. In the video clip, Ohad Yehlomi Amnon Yaaloni addressed a message to the "Zionist" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in which he said: "Benjamin Netanyahu.. Please stop creating problems.. We want these people - the families of these people - to live with respect, and for there to be no more pain. I ask you to release everyone here.. Wisely.. Our future and the future of the people of Gaza are one.. We do not want wars. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
