My favourite GoPro alternative is almost 50% off for Prime Day

GoPro is probably the best known brand for action cameras. But Insta360 has become one of the most consistent specialist camera manufacturers of the past few years, serving up hit after hit when it comes to 360-degree cameras, tiny cameras and slightly bigger cameras you put on top of your monitor. The brand's GoPro alternative, the Ace Pro, scored an impressive four stars out of five in our review. It did an excellent job at filming, even in low light. And thanks to Prime Day, the action camera is more of a steal than ever. Right now, you can nab the Insta360 Ace Pro on Amazon US for $240 – that's a 47% saving on this excellent device. Despite being the previous generation, it's still an excellent camera to buy. With a familiar rugged, waterproof design and a nifty 2.4-inch flip-up touchscreen, the Ace Pro feels like a natural fit for action cam enthusiasts. Its intuitive interface, reliable mobile app, and clever AI-assisted highlight reels add to the package, while image stabilisation through FlowState keeps things steady even when life isn't. Battery life impresses too, outlasting a GoPro Hero 12 Black in 4K recording tests. The mounting system, however, is a touch fussy and requires a careful hand unless you fancy seeing your pricey new gadget bounce off into oblivion. When it comes to image quality, the Ace Pro shines brightest in low light. Its PureShot video mode, paired with a decent sensor and AI tech, delivers some of the best night-time footage seen from a standard action cam. Daylight video quality is solid but not revolutionary, and the lack of 10-bit recording feels like a miss for those who like to tweak their footage after the fact. Photos are, frankly, fine – nothing that'll beat your smartphone, but good enough for the odd snap. Other Insta360 Prime Day deals Sadly, those in the UK don't get access to this deal, but can bag the newer Ace Pro 2 with an extra battery for £340 instead of £410. The newer camera comes with an upgraded dual‑AI chip architecture alongside a new 1/1.3″ 8K sensor co‑engineered with Leica. It also features a larger, brighter 2.5‑inch flip touchscreen, improved audio via a built‑in wind guard, reverse‑charging, endurance mode, and 39‑ft waterproofing in one compact package. It's a pretty great upgrade over the first-generation. If you don't need quite so much power and want to maximise savings, the regular Insta360 Ace action camera is also on offer. On Amazon US, you can score the action camera for $200 – down 47% from its regular price. The regular Ace opts for a smaller 1/2‑inch sensor (versus the Pro's 1/1.3″ sensor) and its max video resolution to 6K/30fps. Of course, Insta360 is perhaps best-known for its 360-degree cameras. While the newest X5 model might have just released, the previous-generation X4 camera is reduced for Prime Day. On Amazon US, you can grab the 360 cam for $350 – a 30% discount over its regular ticket price. Or on Amazon UK, you'll find the camera for £350 instead of £426 – also a great deal. The Insta360 X4 can shoot 8K 360° video and snap 72MP 360° photos – the first of its kind from the brand. Like its predecessors, it uses dual ultra-wide lenses to capture everything around you, stitching the footage together for immersive 360° content or easily cropped flat clips. While 8K recording maxes out at 30fps, smoother 5.7K/60fps or 4K/100fps slow-mo options are on tap, and there's even a single-lens mode for more GoPro-style shooting.

Mumbai, July 1, 2025: Tata Motors recorded total sales of 2,10,415 units in Q1 FY26, compared to 2,29,891 units in the same period last year. This comprises 85,606 commercial vehicles (CVs) and 1,24,809 passenger vehicles (PVs), reflecting a YoY decline of 6% and 10% respectively. In the CV segment, while domestic sales dipped 9% to 79,572 units, international business (IB) volumes surged by 68%, reaching 6,034 units. Executive Director, Girish Wagh, highlighted robust growth in exports and optimism for coming quarters driven by a favourable monsoon, lower repo rates, and continued infrastructure push. In the PV segment, Tata Motors sold 1,24,809 units, including 16,231 EVs, showcasing resilience amid flat industry demand. MD Shailesh Chandra noted strong EV traction, especially towards the end of the quarter, aided by new launches such as the Altroz and The refreshed Tiago also registered a healthy 16% YoY growth. Looking ahead, Tata Motors remains focused on leveraging new product introductions to outperform the market in hatchbacks, SUVs, and EVs. While industry demand may stay subdued in the near term, the company aims to build on its EV momentum and deepen customer engagement, underscoring its long-term strategy for growth in both domestic and export markets.

Tata Motors' sales fall 12% to 65,019 units in June as PV, CV segments decline

Tata Motors reported total domestic sales of 65,019 units in June 2025, a 12 per cent decline compared to 74,147 units sold in the same month last year. This was on account of continued market softness and subdued demand, which affected its passenger vehicle (PV) and commercial vehicle (CV) segments. In the passenger vehicle category, Tata Motors sold 37,083 units domestically in June, down 15 per cent YoY from 43,524 units in June 2024. However, the company's electric vehicle (EV) portfolio showed resilience, with 5,228 units (domestic and international) sold during the month, reflecting a 12 per cent growth YoY. 'While overall PV volumes remained under pressure, the EV segment continued to gain momentum, supported by robust demand and recent product refreshes,' said Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors PV and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility. Commercial vehicle sales In the commercial vehicle segment, Tata Motors posted domestic sales of 27,936 units, down 9 per cent YoY from 30,623 units in June 2024. The decline was seen primarily in heavy commercial vehicles (HCVs) and small commercial vehicles (SCVs). Nonetheless, the company recorded an 8 per cent month-on-month growth, signaling early signs of recovery. 'Tata Motors' international CV business grew 70per cent in June, and with the launch of the Ace Pro mini-truck and AC-equipped trucks, we are optimistic about volume recovery in the coming months,' said Girish Wagh, executive director, Tata Motors. Q1 FY26 sales Tata Motors recorded total sales of 2,10,415 units in the first quarter of FY26 (Q1FY26), reflecting a 9 per cent YoY decline compared to 2,29,891 units in Q1FY25. The slowdown affected both passenger and commercial vehicle segments, though electric vehicle (EV) sales and international CV business proved to be resilient. In the passenger vehicle (PV) category, Tata Motors sold 1,24,809 units, down 10 per cent from the same quarter last year. EV sales dipped by 2 per cent YoY to 16,231 units. Despite the subdued industry sentiment in May and June, EVs gained traction toward the end of the quarter, driven by new model launches and consumer interest. In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, total sales stood at 85,606 units, a 6 per cent decline YoY. While domestic CV sales dropped 9 per cent to 79,572 units, international business grew by a robust 68 per cent.
