Sheikh Mohammed launches AI UAE government system to save over 250,000 hours per year
The United Arab Emirates has launched a new proactive government performance system which will use AI to save hundreds of thousands of hours of work every year.
Introduced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the new system aims to improve service delivery.
It will use AI-powered data analytics, predictive capabilities and in-depth analysis to assist with strategic planning and improve the government's ability to predict future challenges.
The new system aims to help the government help achieve its 'We the UAE 2031' vision, which targets four main pillars –society, economy, diplomacy and ecosystem.
Government efficiency is at the heart of the new system which aims to optimise resource use, improve service quality and monitor timely implementation of national strategies and plans.
It is predicted that it will process over 150 million data points every month, provide leadership with over 50,000 proactive insights annually and save over 250,000 hours per year.

The system is based on an intelligent government performance management framework that leverages AI tools and algorithms to monitor and enhance performance.
AI will help the UAE government with in-depth analysis, executive summaries and predictive performance management.
200 government employees in performance management and data analysis will be trained to use the system, which is set to support over 250,000 users.
Real-time data will be used to predict future performance and generate flexible reports that support government decision-making. By doing this, it will allow the UAE government to be better prepared for any future challenges and opportunities.
The UAE's government performance system has evolved since its 2008 launch as the Adaa System. It progressed to Adaa 2.0 in 2013, then Adaa 3.0 in 2019, and now culminating in the latest generation: the Proactive Government Performance System.
