Wanaparthi District: The Central Committee from New Delhi visited Wanaparthi district on Saturday to inspect the welfare programs implemented by the Central and State Governments, especially how drinking and irrigation water is being provided to the people at the field level and what are the quality standards. The 28th team of the teams formed by the Central Government through NITI Aayog to visit the respective states of the country and inspect the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission Abhiyan at the field level and give an actual report, visited Wanaparthi district on Saturday. The team was led by NITI Aayog Deputy Secretary Arvind Kumar and was assisted by Deputy Director Central Water Commission Arun Kumar and Central Ground Water Board Scientist P. Yadav. The central team was welcomed by District Collector Adarsh Surabhi at the Collectorate. Later, a meeting was held in the conference hall and a report was presented through a projector on the drinking water policy being provided to the people through Mission Bhagiratha in Wanaparthi district and the steps taken to overcome the obstacles. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Secretary Arvind Kumar said that the central and state governments are jointly undertaking many programs to see India as a developed country in all sectors by 2047. He said that he will visit Wanaparthi district for two days on Saturday and Sunday to learn how these programs are being implemented at the field level and how the living standards of the people are improving and to submit a report. He said that he visited Achyutapur, Qasim Nagar, Kanayapalli Fresh Water Purification Center, Rajiv Bhima Lift Irrigation 2nd Canal in Wanaparthy district to find out how drinking water is being provided to the people of the district, what are the quality standards, and how problems are being overcome. District Collector Adarsh Surabhi said that clean drinking water is being provided to every household in Wanaparthy district, and a register has been set up there to clean overhead tanks three times a month. Similarly, he said that a large amount of water is being provided for irrigation for agriculture. He said that not only are ponds and ponds filled due to rains, but also reservoirs and ponds are being filled due to the river flow coming from above. He informed that programs such as water conservation, water sheds, roof top harvesting and setting up of indus pits are being carried out by the Rural Development Department to increase groundwater. He explained that bore wells will be ready to solve any water problem during the summer season. Additional Collector Local Bodies In-charge Yadayya, Mission Bhagiratha S. E. Yoga essential to combat stress: Collector
Wanaparthy: 'Changing Lifestyles and work-related stress are leading to various health problems, and to prevent these, everyone should incorporate yoga into their daily routine,' suggested district collector Adarsh Surabhi. On Saturday, he participated in a yoga programme organised by the AYUSH department at the Marrikunta Tribal Welfare School. The Collector, officials, and students participated in yoga session led by District Yoga General Secretary Suguna. On this occasion, the Collector stated that in today's mechanical lifestyle, people are prone to many health issues. 'Practicing yoga daily can help overcome these and lead to a healthy life. He emphasized that yoga was an integral part of life for our ancestors in ancient India. He explained that June 21 was chosen for Yoga Day because it is the longest day of the year in terms of sunlight. 'Daily yoga,' he said, 'not only improves physical health but also promotes mental peace and the ability to cope with stress.'

Rs 95.53 cr Rythu Bharosa funds credited to Wanaparthy farmers
Wanaparthy: District collector Adarsh Surabhi reported that as of Monday, Rythu Bharosa funds worth Rs 95.53 crore have been deposited in the accounts of 1,34,537 farmers in the district, who own less than two acres. He assured that the remaining eligible farmers will receive their funds gradually over the next nine days. On Monday, he along with local MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, agricultural officers, and farmers gathered at the Nagavaram Rythu Vedika to watch the 'Rythu Nestham' programme via video conference. This programme, initiated by CM Revanth Reddy, in collaboration with his Cabinet colleagues, was organised from Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University in Hyderabad and connected with farmers from all districts across the State. Participating in the event, the MLA urged farmers in the district to shift their focus from mono-cropping to crop diversification. He suggested cultivating essential crops like vegetables, pulses and oil palm, which have high daily demand, to ensure profitable farming.

Complete renovation work of govt schools early: DC
Wanaparthy: On Wednesday a review meeting was held at the collectorate regarding provision of basic amenities in government schools and Anganwadi centres. The meeting was attended by officials from Panchayati Raj, TWDIC and R&B departments. Collector Adarsh Surabhi instructed R & B engineers to take necessary steps to complete the works that were started under the Mana Ooru Mana Badi initiative but were left incomplete midway, by coordinating with the contractors. He assured immediate sanction of funds for the pending works but emphasised that they must be completed promptly. Surabhi noted that some renovation works taken up under the Amma Adarsha Pathashala committees were halted midway. He directed that tasks like construction of toilets, provision of drinking water and installation of fans be completed without delay. He suggested that the contractors should complete the repairs and then claim payments. Since the schools and Anganwadi centres are set to reopen soon, he directed officials to ensure that the renovation and new building construction in Anganwadi centres are completed at the earliest. Officials including the EE TWDIC, DEs and AEs of Panchayati Raj attended the meeting.

Telangana State Formation Day Celebrations in a Grand Way
Wanaparthy District: Telangana State Formation Day Celebrations were held in a grand way at the district IDOC premises on Monday. State Scheduled Castes Cooperative Development Organization Chairman Preetham attended the celebrations as the chief guest. Along with the chief guest, District Collector Adarsh Surabhi, SP Ravula Giridhar, Wanaparthy MLA Thudi Megha Reddy, Additional Collector Revenue G Venkateswarlu, Additional Collector Local Bodies Yadayya, and Wanaparthy Market Chairman Srinivas Goud were present on the stage. The chief guest first paid floral tributes to the Telangana Martyrs' Stupa along with the Collector and MLAs. Later, he received a salute from the police force. The chief guest was given a grand welcome on behalf of the district administration. Later, the national flag was unfurled and the people were greeted. Later, Jaya Jaya Hey Telangana was sung. Later, he spoke and explained the welfare development programs being implemented in the district and the progress achieved. He said that Telangana will guide the country in terms of social justice as well as the welfare of the poor, marginalized and vulnerable sections of the state. He said that the state has completed 11 years today. He said that the state is moving towards development in all sectors. He said that free travel facility for women in RTC buses and free electricity for households have been provided. He said that the Bhu Bharati Act will be implemented and land issues in the state will be identified and resolved quickly. He said that Telangana State has been successful in showcasing it on the world stage and has achieved huge government investments by visiting countries like America, South Korea, Singapore, Davos and Japan. He said that the government has successfully organized the AI Global Summit, BioAsia Conference and Miss World pageants in Hyderabad. On this occasion, under the auspices of the chief guest, the freedom fighters and their family members who fought for the achievement of Telangana Swarastra were honored. On this occasion, the cultural dances performed by children from various schools impressed everyone. On this occasion, the stalls set up by the Police Department, SC Corporation, District Welfare Department, District Rural Development Department, District Medical Department, District Agriculture Department, Municipal Administration and Housing Department in the IDOC premises were visited and inspected by the chief guest, along with the Collector and MLA. District officials of various departments, public representatives, staff, people, students, representatives of print and electronic media and others participated in the program.
