SRK Bought Jackets For Adnan Sami In Freezing Venice: ‘I Was Jet-Lagged; Wearing Hawaiian Shirts'
Adnan Sami recalled how Shah Rukh Khan bought him jackets in Venice when a summer shoot turned unexpectedly cold, calling the gesture 'very touching.' Shah Rukh Khan's generosity and warmth have left yet another celebrity touched. This time, singer Adnan Sami opened up about a heartfelt gesture by the superstar during a shoot in Venice. In a chat with Bollywood Bubble, Sami recalled how Shah Rukh went shopping for him after noticing he didn't have warm clothes during a surprise cold spell. 'We were shooting in Venice. It was summers. I used to wear Hawaiian shirts and nothing else," Adnan shared, explaining how the team had come prepared for pleasant weather. However, Venice had other plans. 'Out of nowhere, Venice decided to go on a massive cold spell. It suddenly started raining. The weather went for a complete toss." Describing the sudden drop in temperature and strong winds caused by the city's tunnel-like effect, Adnan said he was still in his summer outfit of Hawaiian shirts and Bermuda shorts. Seeing this, Shah Rukh grew concerned. 'When SRK saw me, he was like, 'Oh My God, you are going to catch cold,'" Sami said. At the time, Shah Rukh Khan was not just a co-star but also the producer of the ad shoot. Despite being busy himself, SRK noticed Adnan's discomfort and stepped in. 'I was tired from all the travel and ready to crash. He asked, 'I hope you have something warm.' I said no. Later, I dozed off due to jetlag," Adnan recalled. What happened next left the singer deeply moved. 'He was so sweet that he simply went and bought a whole bunch of jackets. Hats off to him that he was able to get something of my size. This was very touching and thoughtful," Adnan said. This isn't the first time Sami has spoken about this incident. Two years ago, he had shared a similar anecdote, recalling how Shah Rukh showed up at his door with sweaters and said, 'It's very cold outside. I got you some sweaters." Adnan Sami said the gesture may have been small to some, but to him, it spoke volumes. 'He didn't have to do it. But he did. It speaks a lot about the person," he concluded. Shah Rukh Khan saw Adnan Sami in trouble when freezing winds took over Venice. He quickly planned a sweet rescue
Singer and composer Adnan Sami recently opened up about a memorable incident involving Shah Rukh Khan during a commercial shoot in Venice, where Kareena Kapoor was also part of the project. Known for his vibrant personality and outspoken views, Sami reflected on how a sudden shift in the weather left the crew unprepared — and how SRK stepped in with an unexpected and thoughtful act. The shoot was originally planned for summer, and all members of the crew, including Sami, had packed accordingly. Adnan, in particular, arrived in Venice with only his usual Hawaiian shirts and Bermudas. However, the weather took a drastic turn, plunging into an unexpected cold spell with rain and strong winds — conditions that caught the team off guard. Shah Rukh, who was not just acting in the commercial but also producing it, noticed Sami's summer attire and expressed concern. Seeing how jet-lagged and tired Adnan was after nearly a day and a half of travel, Shah Rukh asked if he had any winter wear. When Adnan admitted he didn't, he decided to rest, unaware of what was to come next. While Sami slept, Shah Rukh went shopping on his own to get him warm clothing. Adnan recalled being touched when SRK came to his room later and handed over jackets, remarking on the cold weather outside. What struck Adnan the most was that Shah Rukh had taken the time to not only buy the clothes himself but also managed to find the right sizes, which, as Sami pointed out, wasn't an easy task. He described the gesture as incredibly sweet and thoughtful, adding that Shah Rukh didn't need to do it, but the fact that he did spoke volumes about his character. A Statement of Self-Acceptance During the interview, Adnan also commented on his wardrobe choice at the time, recalling that the colourful Hawaiian shirts had become part of his style statement. He mentioned that even though his wife disliked them, he embraced the look. He said that his fashion sense reflected his attitude toward life and body positivity — a defiant celebration of self without shame. When questioned about the shirt in the iconic photograph with SRK and Kareena, Sami joked that he had no regrets. 'I was fat, and I said I'm going to make noise about it,' he shared, adding that he wore those shirts with pride and humour, often responding to size-related questions with, 'I eat a lot and enjoy it.'

Malaysia records 5,610 tonnes of shark landings in 2024
PUTRAJAYA: A total of 5,610.55 tonnes of sharks were recorded in Malaysian waters in 2024, according to the Department of Fisheries (DOF). Sarawak reported the highest landings at 2,208.90 tonnes, followed by Perak (994.04 tonnes), Kelantan (783.99 tonnes), Sabah (545.77 tonnes), Pahang (471.35 tonnes), and Selangor (204.11 tonnes). DOF director-general Datuk Adnan Hussain stressed the need for stronger monitoring and management of fishery resources to protect endangered marine species. 'Five shark species are now protected under the Fisheries (Control of Endangered Species of Fish) (Amendment) Regulations 2019,' he said. 'Capturing, possessing, selling, or exporting these species is prohibited and punishable by law.' The protected species include the Great Hammerhead, Smooth Hammerhead, a Hammerhead variant, Oceanic Whitetip shark, and Whale shark. Adnan highlighted their ecological importance as apex predators, warning that their decline could disrupt marine biodiversity and fishery resources. He called on fishermen, industry players, NGOs, and the public to comply with regulations and support conservation efforts. 'The DOF is enhancing monitoring, enforcement, and awareness campaigns with enforcement agencies and fishing communities to ensure sustainable marine resources for future generations,' he added. - Bernama
