And it was no surprise to see a huge turnout for his funeral Mass from St Mary's Church in Calton. Jim Craig, one of the three living Lions who played that day, took his place in the congregation - as did Brendan Rodgers' current squad, some of whom will be in action later tonight against Queen's Park. Among the modern Hoops heroes spotted were Kieran Tierney, Advertisement Rangers were represented by chief executive Patrick Stewart - with a crowd of fans expected to the funeral cortege set to pass the Celtic Way at Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers paid tribute, saying: "With the Lisbon Lions, they changed the course of travel of this club and what they were thought of - and John himself, the humility that he had, for being such a great player and such a humble man." There was a lovely touch, with a number of Portugal flags flying in the chapel - a nod to both the scene of Clark's greatest triumph, and the tragic loss of Liverpool star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva in a car crash yesterday. 5 Roy Keane (left) and Ian Wright arrive for the funeral of John Clark Credit: PA Advertisement 5 Portugal flags fly in St Mary's in the Calton Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page Most read in Football
