Ex-Colchester United midfielder signs for Pitching In Isthmian League side

FORMER Colchester United youngster Sammie McLeod has signed for Pitching In Isthmian League Premier outfit Dartford FC.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who made two first-team appearances for the U's in 2020/21 season, has linked up with the non-league side after joining them from Sevenoaks.

Dartford boss Ady Pennock told the club's website: 'Sammie is a very good footballer with an unbelievable engine.
'He's technically very good and still only 25.
'We are very pleased to get him on board and look forward to working with him during the season.'
McLeod joined Leicester City in 2017, featuring in their under-18 Academy side.
He joined Maldon and Tiptree for the 2018–19 campaign, scoring eight times in 28 appearances.
McLeod signed a two-year deal with Colchester and made his first professional start for Colchester in September, 2020 when he was named in their starting line-up for the EFL Trophy game against West Ham United under-21s.

He made his first senior appearance in the 2020/21 season as a substitute in the 2-0 home win over Bolton Wanderers.
Since leaving Colchester in 2021, he has played for the likes of Concord Rangers, Lewes and Worthing.
