'Surprisingly spacious' bag the perfect size for Ryanair's new hand luggage rules cut by 54%
The airline has announced a change to its free cabin bag rules and this Aerolite one gives maximum space while staying within the limits Ryanair has said it is increasing the size of its free cabin bag meaning passengers can now take a slightly larger one on board. The current dimensions for a personal bag is 40 x 25 x 20cm and will give way to a bigger carry on bag with measurements of 40 x 30 x 20cm 'within weeks', the airline has confirmed. It's a bit of good news for passengers of the budget airline as the volume capacity of the personal bag they are allowed for free will increase from around 20 litres to 24 litres too. It means some more room to cram in holiday essentials without paying a fee. Customers of the carrier will know it is one of the stricter airlines when it comes to hand luggage rules. Those who have tried to take a slightly bigger bag onto the plane have often been hit with charges. Those who have bags that are sized within the current measurements can, of course, still use them. Ryanair say they are currently changing their airport bag sizers and that passengers should be able to take advantage of the rule change within a 'matter of weeks'. If you want the maximum amount of space in your hand luggage you may want to buy a bag which is the optimal size - one which measures exactly 40 x 30 x 20cm. After all, if you're heading away for a short trip and don't want to pay for hold luggage, every inch of space counts. Aerolite have a holdall which is currently less than half price and will conform perfectly to the new size regulations. Selling at £13.59, down from £29.99, buyers can save 54 per cent on this hand luggage. Featuring a lockable main compartment, the bag also has a front, zipped pocket for easy access to important documents, earphones and electronic devices, it can be worn over the shoulder or mounted on a suitcase for easy transportation. Amazon also have some options to suit the upcoming Ryanair dimensions. Its Spaher rucksack measures 40 x 30 x 20cm and is reduced to £31.19, down from £35.99, at the moment. It comes in grey and beige, which cost more, but the black option, which is reduced, has the added benefit of including a USB charging port so you can charge on the go. And if you are after something with wheels, the hard shelled Cabin Max Anode could be the answer. Amazon has it for £39.95, but it is the exact dimensions for the new Ryanair sizing and fits underneath the seat too. It also comes in a range of colours and can be wheeled or even worn across the body. If The Aerolite holdall is what you're after, rest assured it is also compatible with lots of other airlines including Wizz Air, EasyJet and Virgin among others. But it is now the perfect size for all Ryanair flights. It's gathered a handful of reviews and has a star rating of 4.2 out of five. Customers said it was 'sturdy' and 'well made'. One added: "Surprisingly spacious bag. Good value and well made. Fits perfectly under the seat of budget airline seats, with room to spare, " with another adding: "Minimal weight, yet still pretty strong. A good purchase." One buyer was disappointed with the strap, which is said to be cushioned to relieve shoulder aches and pains, however saying: "The strap isn't as comfortable as I expected it to be."

Ryanair-approved cabin bag that fits compactly under the seat is slashed by 36%
To make sure you don't fall foul of Ryanair's strict hand luggage rules, this travel backpack has been made to their exact measurements – and it's currently on sale with £10 off If you've got a holiday booked you'll no doubt be starting to plan your packing and what exactly you're taking with you. However if you've booked with a budget airline like Ryanair, you need to be sure of exactly what size luggage you're allowed, especially when it comes to your carry on. Ryanair is known for having very strict regulations as to what's allowed as hand luggage, allowing one small bag per passenger for free, with dimensions not exceeding 40cm x 20cm x 25cm. However we've found the perfect travel bag on Amazon that fits these requirements exactly, so you won't be caught out with extra fees when it comes to boarding, and it's now been slashed by 36% from £27.99 to £17.99. The Xkdoai Cabin Bag measures exactly 40cm x 20cm x 25cm and has a 20 litre capacity, making sure it's fully compliant with the tight regulations whilst still giving you plenty of room to pack your essentials. It even has adjustable straps on the outside that let you compress it further, in case you're worried about it fitting. Although it has a classic backpack design which makes it comfortable and easy to carry, it opens out flat just like a suitcase would, making it much easier to pack and access your belongings. There's a hidden zipped pocket at the back for valuables like your phone or passport, a cable hole in the side to connect your phone to a charger on the go, and multiple other pockets to keep things organised. To keep you comfortable whilst carrying it, the underside has been designed with a mesh material that allows heat to dissipate to prevent sweating. There's also an easy to carry top handle, two backpack straps, and a strap which allows you to slot it over the handle of a larger case for easier transportation. If you prefer a rolling cabin bag, Antler's Cabin with Pocket Suitcase is £230, but a worthy investment if the 4.9 star rating is anything to go by. Alternatively the Aerolite MiniMax Ryanair Size Cabin Hand Luggage from Aerolite is on sale down from £44.99 to £24.99, and features an extendable handle and rolling wheels. Although it's great for travelling, you can also use the Xkdoai Cabin Bag for commuting, overnight stays, heading to school, outdoor sports or just as a general backpack. Shoppers have also been praising it on Amazon, with one saying: 'Good size. Nice material. Lots of pockets.' Another wrote: 'Firstly this has tons of pockets. Probably more than you'll need. Seems to be pretty waterproof too as i've carried cameras and laptops in it, uncovered - with no issue. It maximizes the space for budget flight providers and I've never been stopped even with the bag full to the brim. It has extra clips at the side which can strap around you for security. It is comfortable for walking about and travelling. Good size and well designed.' Others were less impressed, saying: 'Loved the colour but the quality isn't quite as good as I expected.' Another put: 'Was fine at first but after a few uses the bottom lining of the bag got folded up - having to unpick the fabric to sort it out now. Overall a nice product but it's a little annoying to have to fix that.' However another loved it, saying: 'Really good backpack! I used it to go on holiday for a week and with compression cubes I managed to fit in everything I needed for the weeks travel and it is classed as a cabin bag so no unexpected fees at the airport. Super convenient for traveling light.'

Travellers snap up £24 bag that's 'perfect for Ryanair' and has lots of pockets
Avoid pesky baggage fees while still bringing all that's needed on holiday Plenty of travellers have run into the issue of securing cheap flights with budget airlines like Ryanair, only to be confronted with restrictive luggage allowances that make it hard not to shell out on paying for a checked bag. However, it is possible to pack everything travellers need for a holiday in a cabin bag - even with the latest restrictions on bag size. Ryanair's bag policy currently means that passengers can only bring one small bag onboard for free, and they'll have to pay if they want to bring a regular cabin bag. With a quality functional backpack like the Aerolite 40x20x25cm Ryanair Maximum 20L Tactical Backpack, currently £24.99 on Amazon, travellers may just find they can fit everything they need in the free bag. The Aerolite backpack adheres to the 40x20x25cm size restriction on Ryanair's free cabin bag - as well as that of many other budget airlines - but it has plenty of storage capacity for all the holiday essentials. It has a 20L capacity, plenty of pockets including a laptop section, and a padded mesh backrest and adjustable chest strap for comfortable transport. Plus, with a hands-free backpack, there'll be no dragging clunky suitcase wheels along European cobblestone streets, so shoppers may find the bag last a good while longer than its wheeled counterparts. The bag also features a built-in USB charging port on the outside for keeping devices juiced-up on the go - simply add a powerbank into the internal pocket and use the USB cable supplied to wire it to the port. If travellers need a little extra storage space for things like jumpers, jackets and flipflops, there are bungee cords on the front to attach lightweight items, too. If this backpack isn't quite what travellers want, they could try Aerolite's wheeled option. The Aerolite 40x20x25cm Ryanair Maximum Premium Quality Eco-Friendly Backpack Trolley with 2 Wheels is £44.99 directly from Aerolite and also fits the free bag allowance for the budget airline, and has a three-in-one design that means it can be used as a backpack, holdall, or wheeled suitcase. Those looking for a waterproof option could check out Rains' Hilo Weekend Bag Small with dimensions of 40 x 20 x 23 cm - also in the range of Ryanair's allowance. Made from Rains' signature waterproof PU fabric, the bag is "engineered for carrying strength, durability, and a smooth feel", comes in a range of colours including black, brown and beige, and costs £69. However, the Aerolite backpack has a great 4.3-star rating on Amazon. One shopper described it as "a great little rucksack with lots of compartments and places to store things". "It feels a lot smaller than expected but stores a surprising amount of clothes," they added. Another said: "I bought this for hand luggage. It is a very attractive bag with lots of pockets. The charging port is a big hit with my son. The straps are sturdy and make the bag very comfortable to carry. The design is well thought out and the construction is excellent. It is deceptively spacious. A great backpack which will cope with any weather conditions." "'Perfect size for Ryanair, well made and plenty of storage space and secure pockets," said a third. One shopper warned that the bag was smaller than expected: "Be aware - the size at the top is way smaller than what the seller stated in the description. Overall, this backpack is actually smaller than what is expected." Another wrote: "What can I say, the backpack is very nice, sturdy and well made, but it is more of a backpack for PCs and electronic accessories than a backpack for travel clothes." For a bag that will save travellers money on baggage fees while still fitting a lot of holiday essentials, however, the Aerolite 40x20x25cm Ryanair Maximum 20L Tactical Backpack seems worth a look.
