Zenvo Aurora Reveals An Even Prettier Look For Its Goodwood Reveal
At Monterey Car Week 2023, Danish automaker Zenvo revealed the new Aurora hypercar, and ahead of its debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the company has revealed some subtle changes to its design. Like the Keonigsegg Jesko twins, half of the Aurora's production run of 100 cars will be reserved for a track-focused, RWD Agil model, while the other half is for the AWD (and more powerful) Tur variant, which is meant to be a more comfortable cruiser. Zenvo has yet to show the changes as they translate to the former, which we'll likely see this weekend at Goodwood, so for now, let's see how the Tur has changed. You may need to squint. Zenvo didn't detail the changes, but closer inspection reveals a slightly altered front fascia where mesh now covers the grille openings, the hood has been reshaped, and the ends of the headlamps are now underpinned by more body-color material. At the rear, the diffuser is now larger and more curved, and the license plate holder has moved further down. It also looks like the rear deck has been extended slightly, which should further improve aerodynamic efficiency. McLaren's LT models and Koenigsegg's new Sadair's Spear have used this subtle change to great effect, but Zenvo has not updated any of the performance claims it initially made. Not that it needs to - the Aurora boasts some impressive numbers. Related: Maserati Teases MC20 Supercar Successor Ahead of Goodwood Debut Whether you choose an Agil or a Tur, you get a quad-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 that revs to a frankly absurd 9,800 rpm and delivers 1,250 horsepower all on its own. This MAHLE-developed engine (called Mjølner) is the most powerful production V12 on the planet. Choose the Agil, and Zenvo fits an electric motor to the rear axle, adding another 200 ponies to the horsepower claim, but if you go for the touring variant, Zenvo puts a pair of electric motors on the front axle instead, giving the Tur AWD and a whopping 1,850 hp. Each take on the Aurora will provide its own experience, even if you take the aero out of the equation. The Agil claims 0-62 mph in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 227 mph, while the slipperier Tur gets to 62 mph in 2.3 seconds and keeps going until 280 mph. On the track, the Agil should wipe the floor with the faster car, thanks to 1,940 lbs of downforce at 155 mph and 331 lbs less weight (2,866 in the Agil versus 3,197 in the Tur). Zenvo expects to begin deliveries of its $2.8 million Aurora in 2026, after which it intends to launch a smaller hypercar that will be a relative bargain at $2 million. Affin Bank launches Satok branch, marking confidence in Kuching's development vision

KUCHING (June 24): Affin Bank Berhad opened a new branch in Jalan Satok yesterday, recognising the area's growing strategic importance as a commercial and administrative centre hub in the state capital. The launch was officiated by State Financial Secretary Dato Sri Dr Wan Lizozman Wan Omar, who represented Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. 'Satok has long been a central part of Sarawak's development story. 'For over four decades, the constituency was represented by the Premier. The transformation seen here ― from revitalised markets to restored landmarks like the Satok Suspension Bridge ― reflects his visionary leadership,' he said in his speech. He noted that Satok is fast becoming a key node for connectivity and commerce, given its proximity to Petra Jaya, the upcoming Kuching Autonomous Rail Transit (ART) station, and the Hikmah Exchange. The opening of the branch, he said, demonstrates Affin Bank's alignment with Sarawak's urban renewal, digitalisation, and inclusive economic growth goals. Wan Lizozman also urged the bank to continue supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through targeted financing, advisory services, and digital tools, citing their vital role in the state's economic development. 'SMEs are central to Sarawak's Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030. Through tailored financing, digital solutions, and advisory support, Affin can empower local business to innovate, grow, and compete,' he said. He further encouraged the bank to extend its outreach to underserved communities, particularly in rural areas, in order to strengthen financial inclusion and bridge access gaps in banking services. He said Affin's growing presence in Sarawak reflects confidence in the state's economic direction and Satok's transformation under the Premier's long-standing leadership. 'Affin's continued investment in Sarawak ― including digital platforms, SME-focused programmes, and financial literacy efforts ― can help drive the state's transformation into a high-income, innovation-driven economy by 2030. 'I am confident we are heading towards a more inclusive and digitally connected future,' he added. Also present at the launch were Affin Bank chairman Dato' Agil Natt, Affin Group president and chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah, as well as senior officials from Affin Group and Kuching City North Commission (DBKU). Premier: Ignore outsiders' cynical outlook on state's future, govt's plans sound and strategic
Abang Johari (fourth left) is seen after launching the Affin Kenyalang Savings account. From right are Agil, Uggah, Wan Razly, Snowdan, and Abdul Aziz. – Ukas photo KUCHING (April 28): Sarawakians have been called on to remain optimistic about the state's future and not be influenced by pessimistic external perspectives. According to a Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) report, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the Sarawak government continues to move forward in implementing mega development projects guided by sound and strategic financial planning 'The Sarawak government will not launch any project without considering the entire economic ecosystem, including infrastructure, finance, workforce, and future growth,' he said at the Affin Bank Aidilfitri dinner here last night. In his response to pessimistic views from certain quarters regarding Sarawak's ability to implement large-scale projects, Abang Johari stressed the state government carries out thorough planning before embarking on any development initiative. 'The Sarawak government knows what is being done. Before launching any project, we have made careful calculations, including in terms of infrastructure, financing, and manpower,' he said. The Premier added that in the first five years of his leadership, the focus was on building basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and increasing water and energy supply to interior areas. He pointed out all these were financed using the state's own funds with total expenditure reaching RM36 billion to date. He said the increased revenue made by Sarawak has enabled the state to boldly make strategic investments such as in Affin Bank, in addition to strengthening its financial position through the establishment of a sovereign fund, which now stands at over RM8 billion. According to him, all mega projects such as the development of inland ports, new international airports, as well as gas and hydrogen-based industries are planned taking into account long implementation times, lead times, and the need to develop the local workforce simultaneously. 'This mega project requires seven to 10 years to be fully implemented. Therefore, we have prepared a long-term financial plan, including a repayment plan based on an amortisation system, to ensure the stability of Sarawak's economy,' he explained. Among those present at the event were Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Affin Bank Berhad chairman Datuk Agil Natt and chief executive officer Datuk Wan Razly Abdullah Wan Ali, Affin Islamic Bank Berhad chairman Musa Abdul Malek, Sarawak Economic Development Corporation chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Abdul Aziz Husain, and Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan. abang johari Affin Bank lead Sarawak mega projects
