OTP Index: Saudi Arabia's Airlines & Airports Secure Top Spots for June 2025
Saudi Arabia has secured the top positions on the Airlines and Airports On-Time Performance (OTP) Report for June 2025, released by Cirium, a leading global aviation analytics provider.
Saudia Group, Saudi Arabia's national flag carrier, has earned the title of the Most On-Time Global Airline, by achieving a 91.33% on-time arrival rate and a 90.69% on-time departure rate through 16.733 total flights during June 2025.
Moreover, flyadeal, Saudi Arabia's low-cost carrier and a subsidiary of Saudia, topped the MENA region's airlines as the Most On-Time Middle East and North Africa Airline, by securing 91.77% on-time arrival rate across 5,981 flights during the month.
This achievement underscores Saudia Group's commitment to operational excellence, as part of its efforts to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's National Aviation Strategy.
It also marks the second time in 2025 that Saudia Group has topped the global ranking in Cirium OTP Report, following a similar achievement in March.
On this occasion, Saudia Group's Director General, Ibrahim Al-Omar, said: 'Achieving exceptional on-time performance and maintaining operational excellence requires seamless coordination across all sectors and subsidiaries of the group.'
He added that this accomplishment 'underscores our direct contribution to the objectives of the National Aviation Strategy, particularly in enhancing the overall guest travel experience,' according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Cirium OTP Report also highlighted another achievement for Saudi airports, as the King Khalid International Airport topped the list of the Most On-Time Large Airports. It achieved a 90.41% on-time departure rate across 22,180 flights during June 2025.
King Khalid International Airport secured the top ranking in March and April 2025. It has also emerged as the Most On-Time Airport for the year 2024 – accomplishments that underscore its commitment to operational excellence and advancing the regional and global leadership of the Saudi aviation sector.
