Traffic tip leads to impaired driving charge
Police say a tip from the public about a potentially dangerous situation on the roads in Springwater Township led to impaired driving charges for a 33-year-old Ajax resident.
Officers with the Huronia West OPP detachment received a traffic complaint late Wednesday evening involving a suspected impaired driver.
They responded and found the vehicle on Horseshoe Valley Road West. Police say after speaking with the driver, they had reason to believe the individual's ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired, which resulted in an arrest.
The accused faces charges of operation while impaired and failing or refusing to comply with demand.
