RTA Launches Ajyal 2025 Internship to Train 40 Emirati Students in Key Sectors
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the 2025 edition of its Ajyal Summer Internship Programme, set to run from 7 July to 4 August, offering 40 Emirati students hands-on training across its various sectors and agencies. Designed for secondary school and university students, the programme provides field-based experience in engineering, technology, and administration. It aims to equip participants with practical skills and early exposure to Dubai's infrastructure projects, enhancing their career readiness and professional development. Ajyal blends theoretical and practical learning through in-person and remote workshops delivered in partnership with international academic platforms. Topics include digital transformation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and communication skills. Participants will also visit strategic RTA sites such as the train depot, Smart Number Plate Factory, and the Research and Innovation Centre at the University of Birmingham Dubai. Additional field trips include the Museum of the Future, uSky's suspended transport systems in Sharjah, and RTA's marine transport projects. The initiative supports RTA's Human Resources Strategy 2025–2030, which focuses on talent development and future workforce readiness.
