Journalism needs presence on digital platforms: Al-Jarallah
KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Dean of Kuwaiti journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah received a delegation of female students from the College of Business Administration at Kuwait University in the headquarters of the newspapers on Monday. The visit was part of a field trip to media institutions organized by the college for its students to learn about the work environments in these institutions. It is included in the applied university project titled 'Between Paper and Screen.' Al-Jarallah briefed the delegation of students (consisting of Dana Al-Rifai and Fatima Al-Yaqout, who are majoring in Accounting and Marketing) on the history of Al-Seyassah's founding and some of the pivotal milestones in his journalistic career. He stressed that 'successful media work necessitates institutional vision, discipline, and a team that deeply and professionally believes in the media message.' He also addressed the transformations in the media landscape in the age of technology and social media; emphasizing that journalism today is no longer limited to paper, but rather requires an intelligent and integrated presence on digital platforms. He said 'media institutions must balance the solidity of print content with the speed of online interaction.' He called on the young generation of journalists to 'keep pace with these changes without losing the spirit and ethics of the profession.' He then offered the students a set of tips drawn from his extensive experience; underscoring the importance of 'combining academic study with practical experience, especially in the fields of management and media.' On the other hand, the students expressed their happiness over this experience. They pointed out that they chose Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers 'because they are among the most prominent media institutions in Kuwait and the Gulf, and because of the distinguished reputation of Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism Ahmed Al-Jarallah's leadership, as well as his rich and inspiring professional experience. After the meeting, Al-Jarallah affirmed his full support for youth and student initiatives. He said 'The newspaper's doors are always open to all those who want to learn, take initiative and innovate in their field.'

Al-Jarallah: Media plays vital role in bridging gaps
KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah, on Sunday, met with Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Kuwait Liu Xiang, who came to his office for a courtesy visit. The meeting included a constructive discussion on bilateral relations and media cooperation between the two sides, an open dialogue on the role of the media in building bridges of understanding between peoples, and the importance of responsible journalistic coverage in strengthening Kuwaiti- Chinese relations, especially in light of the growing rapprochement and cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields. Xiang praised the role played by Al-Seyassah and Arab Times newspapers in highlighting the activities of the embassy. He also affirmed the importance of the media in presenting a realistic and balanced image of bilateral relations and supporting cultural dialogue between the two countries. Meanwhile, Al-Jarallah warmly welcomed the Chinese guest, while emphasizing the Kuwaiti press' commitment to strengthening cooperation with diplomatic missions, and supporting every initiative that contributes to deepening regional and international understanding and rapprochement. He praised the effective role of the Chinese Embassy in this context. Also present at the meeting were Managing Editor of Al- Seyassah Faisal Al-Matni and Managing Editor of Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao. They exchanged views on the importance of media and diplomatic integration in effectively conveying cultural and political messages to diverse societies.

1st Deputy PM receives Arab Times Editor-in-Chief, assures good health
KUWAIT CITY, June 10: The Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and the Editor-in-Chief of Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah visited the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah to check on his health and the progress of his treatment, reports Al- Seyassah daily. During the visit, Al-Jarallah conveyed his sincere wishes for a speedy recovery and continued good health to Sheikh Fahad Al- Yousef. In response, Sheikh Fahad Al- Yousef expressed his gratitude to Al-Jarallah for the kind gesture, assuring that he is in good health. He was keen to get out of his bed and personally welcome Al- Jarallah and reassure him of his wellbeing. Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef also extended his thanks to everyone who contacted him to inquire about his health, including his counterparts in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Al-Jarallah receives Iraqi Ambassador and media personality Hamid Abdullah
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of the Arab Times and Al- Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait Al-Munhal Al-Safi and media personality Dr. Hamid Abdullah at his residence on Wednesday. Writer Sami Al-Nisf, retired Major General (retd) Faisal Al-Jazzaf and Saud Al-Farhan also attended the meeting. Al-Jarallah welcomed the guests and exchanged friendly conversations. KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Dean of Kuwaiti journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal at his office in Dar Al- Seyassah on Tuesday. They discussed ways to strengthen media cooperation, a number of current regional and international issues, and ways to address the media developments. During the meeting, Al-Jarallah emphasized the importance of the media's role in building bridges of communication between peoples. He affirmed the commitment of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah to continue as a platform for constructive dialogue and media diplomacy, reflecting the strength of Kuwaiti-Pakistani relations. On the other hand, Iqbal praised the pioneering role of the two newspapers, the wise editorial management headed by Al-Jarallah, and their effective role in supporting humanitarian issues and promoting positive dialogue.
