PAMA launches youth summer competition

Participants are pictured during the event. - KUNA photos KUWAIT: Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Minors Affairs (PAMA) Dalal Al-Nouri affirmed the authority's commitment to renewing and modernizing recreational, cultural, and social programs for minors under its care, in line with their evolving interests and aspirations. The goal, she said, is to help build an informed and forward-looking generation capable of contributing positively to the future. Al-Nouri's remarks came on Wednesday during the launch of the 'Seen Jim' summer entertainment competition, organized by PAMA for minors aged 14 to under 21. She noted that the competition is designed to create an interactive and engaging environment through a mix of mental and physical activities, while also fostering cultural awareness and healthy competition. The program includes a variety of games and entertainment segments overseen by a team of experienced administrative supervisors. The two-day event hosts approximately 80 participants per day, who are divided into 16 teams to compete in general knowledge challenges. Al-Nouri added that the competition will conclude with an awards ceremony, during which the winning team will be recognized and presented with valuable prizes.— KUNA

Baghdad-INA Al-Furatayn Movement confirmed today, Monday, that the role of the Iraqi Media Network (IMN) has transcended domestic boundaries to reach Arab and global levels, noting that the Arab Media Conference, which will be held under the network's sponsorship, is a qualitative extension of the Arab summit. The head of the Movement , Ruqayya Al-Nouri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We support professional national media and call for more efforts in our democratic Iraq," emphasizing "the importance of continuing to present media messages that reflect the true reality of Iraq." She added that " Iraqi Media Network's hosting of the Arab Media Conference in Baghdad after the Arab Summit represents an important opportunity to convey a realistic picture of Iraq, from a security and political perspective, at all levels," stressing that "such conferences play a pivotal role in highlighting the development and prosperity Iraq is witnessing under the National Service Government headed by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani." Al-Nouri continued, "The participation of Arab media outlets in this conference will have a profound impact in clarifying the true picture of the Iraqi reality, it will also be an opportunity to exchange media experiences and insights, and to learn from the experience of the Iraqi media, which has demonstrated its high professionalism, even in the most difficult circumstances." Al-Nouri promised that "the convening of this conference constitutes a qualitative extension of the Arab Summit and comes at a sensitive time at the regional and international levels, adding momentum to the international events hosted by Iraq and reflecting a positive image of its ability to host major events." She added, "We hope everyone will demonstrate a sense of responsibility, as the Iraqi media has demonstrated remarkable national stances and plays a prominent role in this field."
