Baghdad demands PMF-Erbil drone evidence from Iraqi Kurdistan
Shafaq News – Baghdad Iraq's military command rejected, on Saturday, accusations by the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Interior, which had blamed an Iran-backed Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) faction for a drone strike near Erbil. Sabah Al-Numan, spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, dismissed the allegations as 'unacceptable' and 'baseless,' urging the Kurdistan Region to submit 'any evidence' through official channels. He warned that the federal government would respond decisively to any threat against Iraq's security. Al-Numan also stressed that Iraq's current challenges demand cooperation through institutional channels rather than media statements, arguing that 'public accusations only give malicious actors room to undermine security forces and destabilize the country.' His comments followed a statement from the Kurdistan Region's Ministry of Interior, which denied claims that an Israeli facility was targeted in Erbil. The ministry clarified there are no Israeli bases or installations in the Region, explaining that an explosives-laden drone had crashed in a desert area near Erbil without causing casualties or damage.

Baghdad forms committee to investigate drone attacks on military sites
Baghdad ( – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, authorized the establishment of a commission to investigate the drone attacks that targeted military sites on Tuesday. The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, mentioned in a statement that a group of small suicide drones hit multiple Iraqi military sites between 2:15 a.m. and 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday. This attack caused severely damaged the radar systems at Camp Taji, north of Baghdad, and the Imam Ali base in Dhi Qar province, southern Iraq, with no casualties reported, according to Al-Numan. The official explained that Iraqi forces managed to repel all subsequent attempted attacks on four military sites in different places, as well as intercept and shoot down drones that attempted to strike these targets. All of the targeted locations are military sites associated with Iraqi security forces and are overseen and managed by Iraqi officers and troops, according to Al-Numan. A high-level technical and intelligence committee, comprised of officials from different Iraqi security agencies, will investigate the circumstances of this assault and identify the responsible parties. Al-Numan added that these crimes would not go unpunished and that Iraq's military forces would continue to serve as an unbreakable shield to defend the Iraqi people, land, and sovereignty.

Iraq vows to confront Israeli airspace incursions
Shafaq News/ On Saturday, the Iraqi government threatened to confront Israeli violations of Iraqi airspace during its strikes on Iran. In a statement, the Spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, noted that the government is following violations with 'all relevant international parties,' warning that these breaches would undermine regional stability. Al-Numan pointed out, 'Iraq has exercised the highest degree of restraint in the hope that diplomatic solutions would prevail,' adding that the government has already taken diplomatic steps in response, acting under the direction of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Iraq's permanent mission to the United Nations. 'Iraq is calling on the United States to assume its responsibilities under the existing agreements between the two countries and international norms to prevent Israeli aircraft from using Iraqi airspace,' Al-Numan stated.

"The security services rely on military manufacturing production, which has provided significant financial liquidity to the state treasury," said Al-Numan on the sidelines of the opening of the 13th Security, Defense, Military Industries and Cybersecurity Exhibition, to the Iraqi News Agency - INA. "There is a distinguished and strong presence from the Iraqi Military Industrialization Commission, with approximately 65 local companies participating," he added, pointing out, "the approach of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and the Iraqi government is to integrate military manufacturing and supply security forces and agencies with local military products, including equipment, light and medium weapons." Al-Numan highlighted that "military manufacturing has made great strides during the tenure of this government. Today, the security agencies, including the Ministries of Defense and Interior, rely heavily on the production of the Military Industrialization Commission." "Military manufacturing production has contributed to providing significant financial liquidity to the state treasury, after these weapons and equipment, of various standards and types, were previously imported from abroad," he emphasized, adding that "today, with full confidence and the integration of local industries, including agricultural and industrial equipment. We are proud that military manufacturing plays a very significant role in supporting the security establishment with all the equipment it needs, according to the tasks and nature of the various security agencies." The 13th Security, Defense, Military Industries and Cybersecurity Exhibition kicked off on Staurday in Baghdad, with the participation of 112 companies.

Spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief: Significant Shifts in Iraqi Forces' Capabilities
The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numan, confirmed today, Wednesday, that 18 Daesh leaders were killed in a single strike last year, pointing to the fortification of the border with Syria with advanced equipment. Al-Numan told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "There is significant support and follow-up from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces for efforts to pursue the remaining terrorists of ISIS gangs." He pointed out that "the terrorist gangs have suffered heavy losses over the past two years, as a large number of their leaders were killed, including 18 leaders in a single strike last year, followed by special operations that resulted in the deaths of many of their members, the most recent of whom was the so-called "Abu Khadija," who served as the governor of Iraq and Syria." He added that "the Iraqi security forces have gained extensive experience, enabling them to effectively combat terrorism and organized crime," stressing that "all security operations over the past two years have achieved their objectives without any failures." He praised "the role of the Joint Operations Command in developing precise plans, as well as the development of the security system's intelligence capabilities." Regarding border security, Al-Numan emphasized that "the security forces, especially the Border Guard Forces, have strengthened their presence along the border strip, supported by the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization Forces, in addition to the use of advanced equipment and systems that have contributed to border control, especially with Syria." He noted that "the security forces today are radically different from previous years, thanks to their continued training and rehabilitation, which has contributed to building their capabilities and developing their potential."
