Al-Jouf Agricultural secures SAR 80M loan from SIDF
Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co. signed on July 27 an agreement to secure an SAR 80 million loan from the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF). In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the loan has a two-year term. It is fully guaranteed by a promissory note and a mortgage for the assets of Al-Jouf's olive oil and pickles factory. Al-Jouf will use the loan to finance working capital.

Several Saudi regions to witness temperatures 1.2 °C above average in August
RIYADH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) revealed on Wednesday that climate forecasts for the summer of 2025 in Saudi Arabia indicate that temperatures will be 1.2 degrees Celsius above average in several regions of the Kingdom during the month of August. The NCM explained that probable forecasts indicate that average surface temperatures will be above average across most regions of the Kingdom during the summer of 2025. The increase is expected to reach approximately 1 degree Celsius in the regions of Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern Province, and the Northern Borders, while the increase is expected to be less than 1 degree Celsius in the rest of the regions. It added that the highest increase above average will reach 1.2 degrees Celsius in parts of Al-Jouf, Hail, Qassim, Tabuk, and the Eastern Province during August. According to the center, rainfall is expected to be around average across most regions of the Kingdom. Rainfall in July and August is expected to be above average in the regions of Jazan, Al-Baha, Najran, Asir, as well as parts of Madinah, Makkah, and the southwestern parts of the Kingdom. Saudi General Authority for Awqaf Launches Awareness Hajj Campaign
Saudi Arabia's General Authority for Awqaf has launched its awareness campaign for the Hajj season, highlighting the vital role of endowments in serving pilgrims. The campaign aims to showcase various endowment initiatives that facilitate the Hajj journey, while providing pilgrims a comprehensive spiritual experience rooted in care, generosity, and solidarity, reported the Saudi Press Agency on Monday. Through its awareness campaign, the authority aims to boost community understanding of the crucial role endowments play in supporting projects related to guidance, accommodation, water supply, translation services, safety, and educational programs at the two holy mosques. It also supports initiatives that integrate various government agencies, such as the Pilgrims City in Al-Jouf Region, which receives pilgrims arriving by land through the Kingdom's northern border crossings, and the Makkah Route Initiative, which aims to serve more than one million pilgrims. The campaign is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to emphasize the developmental and social values of endowments and to activate their role during significant seasons of worship. This reinforces the authority's position as a development enabler and strategic partner in serving pilgrims.

Swissport scales up in Saudi Arabia with groundbreaking 13-airport launch

After having received the license from the authorities on 24 April 2025 for the opening of these airports, it was a great deal of challenge to be ready for the delivery of quality services to the client on 01 June 2025. It included successfully completing the training process of 400+ staff in addition to transporting the fleet of heavy GSE to remotely scattered apart airports. In less than merely a forty (40) days of time span, the target was effectively achieved. Al Ashghal Al Moysra wins SAR 27.4M project with Al-Jouf Health Cluster
Al Ashghal Al Moysra Co. was awarded, on May 18, a project contract worth SAR 27.41 million (VAT inclusive) with Al-Jouf Health Cluster. In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the project entails the provision of maintenance, cleaning and non-medical operation of Abu Ajram General Hospital. The contract will be signed after completing the necessary signatures and procedures, the statement noted, adding that there are no related parties.
