Sharjah Ladies Club celebrates 19th Basateen Preschool Graduation

Each year, the club hosts the event to celebrate the children's readiness for kindergarten and to share the moment with their families. The ceremony began with the UAE National Anthem, followed by creative performances by children. Guests also enjoyed a video presentation highlighting memorable moments from their academic year. The celebration concluded with the distribution of certificates and gifts, bringing the event to a joyful close. Mrs. Ala Alshanasi, Director of Business Management at Sharjah Ladies Club, expressed her happiness in celebrating this milestone with the children and their families. She emphasised that the success of the center is a direct result of the vision and support of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club. She highlighted that Her Highness's vision has played a key role in shaping a high-quality early learning environment — one that prioritizes both international standards and child-focused care, led by a team of certified and experienced educators. She concluded by thanking the parents for their trust, and the staff for their efforts in making the year a success. Basateen Preschool Center is licensed by Sharjah Private Education Authority and maintains high standards in health, safety, and educational quality. The facility includes a licensed medical clinic, advanced surveillance systems, and routine sanitization measures. At the main Club's, three tailored programs are offered to suit various age groups. 'Summer Wonderland' welcomes children aged 6 to 10 with a balanced schedule of arts and sports. 'Color Me Happy' encourages creative exploration for girls aged 6 to 10 and boys aged 6 to 8. Meanwhile, 'Teens Glowing Summer' is designed for girls aged 11 to 16, providing a platform for self-expression, personal development, and building future-ready skills. Ala Alshanasi, Director of Business Management at Sharjah Ladies Club, emphasized the deeper vision behind the camp's aim: 'Our summer programs are about more than filling time they're about creating impact. At Sharjah Ladies Club and its branches, we're committed to building a space where participants feel safe, empowered, and inspired to learn. Summer Wonders is a journey of creativity, connection, and confidence. We encourage parents to give their children the opportunity to experience all it has to offer.' Across the Club's branches, participants will enjoy a vibrant and diverse schedule that reflects the spirit of each location. Girls aged 2 to 16 and boys aged 2 to 8 can take part in a wide array of activities, ranging from water games, sports challenges, and yoga sessions to boat races. Artistic workshops will include doll-making, seashell and candle decorating, upcycling crafts, pottery painting, crochet, cooking, and seasonal drink creation. Activities will be hosted at key facilities including Layaqa Center, Marasi Restaurant, Ibdaa Center, and the Tala Program Moza al Wishahi Branch Manager of the Kalba Branch said: 'Each year, we ensure our camps reflect the energy and changing interests of our community. We're proud to offer an environment where fun, learning, and creativity come together a space where every child can find something they truly enjoy.' The camps at the Club will run in two sessions: a morning slot from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by an afternoon session from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. At the branches, programs will follow flexible schedules that generally run from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with slight variations depending on each branch's individual timetable.

This year's show featured 32 students who presented a series of artistic individual and group performances inspired by Beauty and the Beast, reflecting their progress over a year of training. The performance wasn't just a show — it marked a milestone in the students' journey, concluding in the presentation of official graduation certificates from the UK's Royal Ballet Academy, a recognition of their effort and excellence. The show also included participants from the Sharjah English School, furthering the Talent Center's ongoing commitment to collaborative learning and community engagement through the arts. Collage School of Ballet — the first and only studio in Sharjah accredited by both the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). The school offers professional training in ballet, musical theater, and drama for children aged 3 and above, and remains the only center in the emirate providing dedicated ballet instruction classes for adults. Beyond ballet, Collage Talent Center offers an integrated range of programs in visual arts, music, pottery, languages, cooking, fitness, and yoga. It continues to serve as a creative hub for women and children, hosting regular workshops, seasonal camps, and offers organizing a variety of enjoyable activities for individuals, groups, and institutions.
