I don't want to go anywhere. As long as the coach and the club trust me, I can't ask for more.' Martin added that working closely with the coaching staff has boosted his confidence. 'The coach trusts me, and that helps a lot. We've done video analysis together, and in training, he pushes me to give my best. During games, he asks me to be myself and stay focused.' He also gave an update on his recovery after undergoing hand surgery earlier this summer. 'I'm fine now. I was in a cast for three weeks, and at first I was a little worse, but I'm better now, ready to train on Monday and do whatever else I need to do.' With Barcelona heading to Asia for pre-season, Martin is set to join the squad and compete once again for his spot. While Balde may be the top pick, the race for minutes is far from over. Several members of the first-team ranks at La Liga champions Barcelona have taken to social media this week, to send messages of well wishes to now-former teammate Ansu Fati. This, of course, comes after the 22-year-old finally sealed his long-awaited latest departure from the Camp Nou. Advertisement Following another hugely underwhelming campaign all told in 2024/25, wide-man Ansu had for some time now been expected to take his talents elsewhere for the season ahead. In turn, it came as little surprise when, on Tuesday, confirmation of as much was forthcoming online. The Spaniard has made the move to Ligue 1, to line out for AS Monaco on loan for the 2025/26 term. And as alluded to above, a number of leading members of Hansi Flick's squad have since taken to social media, to respond to their teammate's exit. The brother of Barcelona star Alejandro Balde has on Monday taken to social media, to provide his response to the latest Spanish national team squad announcement. This comes after Balde was left out once again by La Roja boss Luis de la Fuente. Spain are primed to return to competitive action early next month, in a highly-anticipated Nations League semi-final meeting with Didier Deschamps' France. Ahead of what is expected to be a challenging outing for the reigning European champions, the aforementioned De la Fuente and his staff therefore unveiled a strong panel of players earlier today. This included no fewer than six Barcelona stars. As alluded to above, though, this Blaugrana contingent did not include first-choice left-back Alejandro Balde.
