UAE secures 3 medals at WGP#1 Waterjet World Series in Belgium
29 July 2025 13:08 BRUSSELS (WAM) Emirati athletes continue to impress on the global stage, as young rider Ali Al Ali delivered a remarkable achievement for the UAE's jet ski scene, winning two silver medals in the Junior 4-Stroke and Junior 2-Stroke categories at the second round of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series rider Mohammed Mohsen also secured a bronze medal in the Veterans Runabout Limited category, after a highly competitive race against top international tournament, held at the Lakes of Eau d'Heure in Belgium, featured over 200 competitors from 33 this double podium finish, Al Ali has risen to second place in the overall world standings, significantly boosting his chances of capturing the title at the final round, scheduled to take place in Pattaya, Thailand, on December Al Tayyer was forced to withdraw due to a technical issue, while Saif Al Shuweihi exited the competition following a crash in one of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series is one of the world's premier jet ski competitions, sanctioned by the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA). Dubai Racing Club and France Galop announce strategic partnership
Dubai Racing Club announced a strategic partnership with France Galop, the governing body responsible for all Thoroughbred and flat horseracing in France. This collaboration marks a significant step in fostering international cooperation and promoting excellence within the global racing community. As part of the agreement, Dubai Racing Club will travel to Deauville on August 9 to lend its name to the Group 3 Prix de Reux – a prestigious staying contest run over 2,500 metres. In return, France Galop representatives will visit Meydan Racecourse for the running of the Group 3 Dubawi Stakes on January 2, 2026. The Dubawi Stakes serves as a key prep race for the Group 1 Dubai Golden Shaheen, one of the highlights of the Dubai World Cup card. Our upcoming visit to Deauville and their presence at Meydan during the Dubai Racing Carnival reflect our mutual commitment to the advancement of international racing.
