Broncos roster: OL Clay Webb (No. 64) among UDFA favorites
Broncos Wire's 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at rookie offensive lineman Clay Webb, No. 64. Before the Broncos: Webb (6-3, 290 pounds) began his college career at Georgia, where he played from 2019-21, although he did not play in any games in the 2021 national championship season. Webb then transferred to Jackson State, where he played 36 games for the Gamecocks. In 2023, Webb was named a first-team All-American and second-team All-CUSA player and was named FBS Offensive Guard of the Year. In 2024, Webb allowed just one sack in 915 snaps, leading to him being named first-team All-Conference USA and a second-team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America. His stellar senior season led Webb to be invited to the Reese's Senior Bowl and the NFL Combine. Webb ran a 5.11 40-yard dash and posted a 31-inch vertical abead of the draft. Broncos tenure: Webb was projected to be a fifth- or sixth-round pick, but he went unselected, perhaps in part because of bullying allegations from high school. A lawsuit against Webb was dismissed in April, and he signed with Denver as a college free agent. He was ranked as the No. 2 undrafted interior offensive lineman by After landing with the Broncos, Webb will make his NFL debut during preseason next month. Chances to make the 53-man roster: Toss-up. It remains to be seen if Webb will play primarily as a guard or center, but he'd face plenty of competition at either spot. He ranks among the UDFA favorites to make the active roster, but Webb might be a practice squad candidate in his rookie season. Related: These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans.

Who is Pacers' pick Taelon Peter? 'This is why the NBA draft is beautiful because you hear guys like Taelon Peter hearing their name'
With their first pick of the second round — No. 38 acquired in a trade Wednesday night — the Indiana Pacers selected Marquette's Kam Jones. At their original No. 54 pick, the Pacers added Liberty guard Taelon Peter. Peter began his college career at Tennessee Tech before playing at Arkansas Tech and eventually Liberty. "Just a word on Taelon Peter who the Indiana Pacers just drafted, wasn't in my Top 100, wasn't invited to Portsmouth, wasn't invited to the G League camp, wasn't invited to the NBA combine, but hears his name called at 54," Jonathan Givony, ESPN's draft expert said on Thursday night's broadcast. "Led the NCAA in true shooting percentage, 33 dunks, tremendous athlete. This is why the NBA draft is beautiful because you hear guys like Taelon Peter hearing their name in the draft also." Peter was named third-team All-Conference USA and the Conference USA Sixth Man of the Year. Here's what to know about the sharpshooter, who shot 45% from behind the arc this past season for the Flames. Height: 6-4 Weight: 210 Peter averaged 13.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game last season for Liberty, shooting 57.8% from the field, including 45.3% from behind the arc. At Arkansas Tech, Peter averaged 15.0 ppg and 5.2 rpg in those three years and scored 1,321 points.
