Here's a look at his life off the pitch… As with many young lads, Alan started his hurling career at club level and played both juvenile and underage for Blackrock before progressing to the Senior team. In 2018, Alan made his debut on the county panel when he played for the minor team. Two years later he had a successful stint with the U20 team, claiming both Munster and All Ireland titles. The Cork man has been on the senior team since 2021 and made his debut in May 2021 when he came on as a substitute for Shane Barrett and scored two goals against Waterford. Uncles Tom and Jim Cashman have also been county hurlers and boast six All-Ireland medals between them when playing with the Rebel County from 1977 to 1990. He has played for the college as part of their Fitzgibbon Cup panel since 2023. Cork Beo also report that Alan is a part-time bartender at Blackrock National Hurling Cup. Alan is in a relationship with Alanna O'Flynn who is regularly seen at matches on support duties. The pair often share pictures of each other on their respective social media, and appear to love travelling and music, having both attending Electric Picnic last year.

Miriam Mullins has showed off the quick yet effective way she managed to make her Cork jersey work for both the hurling semi-final and Longitude festival. On Saturday, the Rebels outclassed the Dubs in Croke Park, earning themselves a spot in the All Ireland Senior Hurling final in two weeks time following their 7-26 to 2-21 win. The Dancing with the Stars alum headed to Guineys in Cork where she picked up white lace and with the help of her father glued the lace onto the shoulders of the jersey and across the bottom. Taking to TikTok ahead of the eventful day, Miriam revealed: 'I've done a DIY-job to a jersey that I have. I tried to iron it on but it didn't work so I had to glue it on but it's really cute! I'm going to wear it with frilly white shorts and some accessories so that it works for both.' Miriam paired the jersey with a pair of white frilly shorts and black boots as well as some accessories, as she joked she wanted her outfit to look like 'match at 5, festival at 8.' Day two of Longitude gets underway from 1.45pm on Sunday afternoon with acts including Sonny Fodera and blk. taking to the stage throughout the day. 50 Cent headlines on Sunday night, with the American rapper and actor partying in The Black Forge Inn on Saturday night ahead of the gig.
