Popular crafts fair enjoys 'amazing' return to Carlisle Cathedral
A popular crafts fair has enjoyed an 'amazing' return to Carlisle Cathedral.
Nearly 20 businesses were featured at the 'Quirky Easter at The Fratry', which took place in Carlisle Cathedral's Fratry Hall between Friday, April 11, and Sunday, April 13.
The event fell under the wider umbrella of the local business collective Quirky Eclectica, which was created by crafters Ashley Walker, from All Things Nice By Ashley, and Tracey Lindsay, from Manor Barn Organics, in 2021.

"We had an amazing few days in The Fratry for Quirky Easter. Our traders were phenomenal and the quality of crafts were incredible," Ashley said.
"Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and see us all. We will be back again for Quirky Christmas at the end of November.
"You will also find us in The Lanes, by what used to be Debenhams, on 16th May for Quirky at The Lanes."
Speaking at the 2024 Quirky Easter at The Fratry event, Tracey also discussed the aims of the crafts fair with an emphasis on building a 'strong' network between local businesses.

"I know how difficult it is to be a crafter, so that is what we want to do. We want to create a community and an environment where people can show off what they do and what they work so hard at.
"We have not just built a community, but we have built some really strong friendships, and we support each other. We know how hard it is to get going, and here we all promote each other as well."
