Acclaimed comedian set to host The Real Housewives of London reunion special
Katherine Ryan is set to host The Real Housewives of London reunion special for the upcoming series later this year, Hayu revealed on Thursday. The acclaimed comedian, 41, who is a fan of the streaming service and The Real Housewives franchise, will bring her unique humour to the final discussion of the season and ensure the Housewives spill the tea. Hayu's first-ever commission of an original series, The Real Housewives of London, will feature a cast of six glamorous ladies. News of Katherine helming the special comes after MailOnline revealed last month that Juliet Angus, Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace, Juliet Mayhew, Panthea Parker, and Nessie Welschinger will star in the show. Gushing over the opportunity, Katherine said: 'Pinch me and tell me this is real! As a mega-fan of The Real Housewives franchise – and of Hayu – I can't wait to get Juliet, Amanda, Karen, Juliet, Panthea and Nessie into the hot seats at the end of the season. 'Hosting The Real Housewives of London reunion show is a dream opportunity for me – and I'm honoured to be trusted to represent the fans and to bring a female perspective to analysing all the emotions, arguments, twists and revelations!' The Real Housewives of London went into production in March 2025, with six bold, dynamic and successful socialites showcasing the luxury of living in the UK's iconic capital. Whether hosting lavish dinners, escaping to a Scottish castle, or rebuilding bonds over bottles of champagne – they're all navigating life, legacy and loyalty. With big personalities, deep histories, and no shortage of designer drama, the path to connection is never simple – but it's always captivating. Produced by UTAS UK Productions (Made in Chelsea), a division of Universal Studio Group, The Real Housewives of London is the first-ever commission of an original series by Hayu and will premiere on the service later this year. The news comes after Katherine revealed earlier this month that she is expecting her fourth child with husband Bobby Kootstra. Katherine is already mum to Fred, three, daughter Fenna, two, with Bobby, as well as 15-year-old Violet from a previous relationship. She has been open about her fertility struggles in recent years, revealing in 2024 that she had had three miscarriages in five years. Speaking in November, Katherine admitted she would love to have more kids – but was worried about her age. 'I'm old. I used to think I was going to be the babies' dad because I'm working but actually I'm like their grandmother,' she quipped at the time. 'My back hurts, sometimes I give them treats. I'm like a fun grandma.' The comedian also revealed in March 2025 that she was battling melanoma for the second time. She made the revelation in her podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, explaining she paid to have a mole removed from her arm and learned it was cancerous. She added that she required more surgery to ensure the entire mass had been removed. The star is gearing up for another busy period of work, embarking on her Battleaxe comedy tour this month. She also hosts multiple podcasts, including her most recent What's My Age Again? - a 'refreshing and humorous take on ageing, wellness, and self-discovery.' The TV star revealed in 2022 that she had kept her second pregnancy a secret because she was scared it would lead to her losing work. She was eight months pregnant when she presented ITV's Ready To Mingle, a fact that she hid from everyone. Katherine and her husband Bobby have been together since 2018, but have known each other since they were children as they grew up together in Canada. Childhood sweethearts, the two parted ways initially before rekindling their romance this side of the Atlantic. The couple revealed in the latest series of the family's reality show that they 'wanted the option of having a fourth [child].' The series saw the couple exploring their marriage through therapy before visiting a fertility clinic. Katherine admitted in the scenes which aired in February that she knew conceiving a fourth child would be challenging thanks to both her and Bobby's age. 'It's not that surprising that over 40 women have fewer follicles than we once did,' said Katherine. 'But we talk a lot about male fertility as well, which is on a steep decline. But I would still like a fourth baby. 'We are so blessed to have the kids that we do have. Having children is not for everyone, but I personally really like making people. I think it's a superpower if you can do it.' She explained at the time how she and her husband had never previously struggled with getting pregnant but had suffered multiple losses. 'We've always gotten pregnant with the babies quite quickly. I've been pregnant five times in five years, but that also means I've had three miscarriages in five years and the likelihood of that increases as you get older,' she explained. Speaking to OK! last year, she also ruled out surrogacy, explaining: 'I think surrogacy is wonderful. It's beautiful for people who are really eager to offer it and for couples who need it but for me, I think it would be exploitative.' Appearing on the Chris Moyles Show in November, she admitted: 'I'd have so many more if I could. 'If I was a dad, I'd be like Robert De Niro having them. Because you can have kids when you're 80 as a dad. You just have to.'

Real Housewives is coming to London? I can't wait for the boozed-up shouting to begin
The cultural juggernaut that is Real Housewives is coming to London. The capital's crop of glamorous, monied middle-aged women with short fuses will apparently include the wonderfully named Panthea Parker, someone known as 'The Longest Legs in Belgravia' (Amanda Cronin), and a Chelsea baker called Nessie Welschinger. It sounds like appointment viewing, but I feel it incumbent on me to ask: is Real Housewives a Good Thing? Gloria Steinem doesn't think so. 'They present women as rich, pampered, dependent and hateful towards each other,' she said in 2021. Other commentators, however, have pointed to the visibility the franchise offers a relatively underexposed demographic; the weighty themes sometimes covered, amid the froth; and the fact that, belying the reductive title, most of the 'housewives' are successful, confident, professional people (albeit with a taste for drama). As an intellectual with a more rarefied cultural diet (early 00s Top Chef, currently), I had never seen Real Housewives before. My mental image of the show was basically that meme of a glamorous woman pointing and yelling at a cat (I was partly right: the woman, Taylor Armstrong, is a Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum; the cat, Smudge, is not). But in preparation for having an opinion on whether the London edition will advance or injure the cause of midlife womanhood, I watched as much of it as I could cram into a morning. And honestly, it's captivating: a loud, baffling smorgasbord of frocks, extensions and heaving décolletés; statement jewellery and high-end athleisure. So much contouring, so many mansions, so many elaborately tablescaped 'events'. But mostly (and I don't think even the greatest aficionados would disagree), Real Housewives seems to be boozed-up shouting. In this, I would argue, it presents an entertaining – even more accessible? – alternative vision of being a middle-aged woman to Davina McCall's rock-hard abs and all those impressive people who start new careers, do charity triathlons or climb mountains. Also, almost every clip I've watched smashes the Bechdel test – they're usually fighting not about men but about which of them has obscurely slighted the other. In conclusion, I declare Real Housewives a net good; bring on the London ladies. Emma Beddington is a Guardian columnist

7 reality shows to binge if you can't wait for The Real Housewives of London
The Real Housewives of London has confirmed its line-up, but the series won't be hitting screens until later this year The Real Housewives of London is set to take the city by storm with its newly unveiled cast, promising a dose of high drama and opulent lifestyles. Following the phenomenal success of the original Real Housewives series that began in Orange County back in 2006, the franchise has finally made its way to London after captivating audiences worldwide with various local versions. Expect a whirlwind of fierce showdowns, enviable fashion statements, and a glimpse into the extravagant homes of six affluent figures as they navigate their high-society circles and the tumultuous events that unfold. Confirmed to grace our screens are Juliet Angus of Ladies of London fame, model Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace from Real Housewives of Jersey, ex-beauty queen Juliet Mayhew, socialite Pantha Parker, and entrepreneur Nessie Welschinger. Although filming kicked off in March, fans will have to wait until later in the year to get their fix of the London elite's antics. Meanwhile, for those who've devoured every episode of the Real Housewives from Beverly Hills to Cheshire, here's a list of seven other reality shows to quench your thirst for more glitz and glamour. Bling Empire: New York The Netflix hit Bling Empire: New York offered viewers a peek into the lives of wealthy Asian-American New Yorkers showcasing their wealth and style. The show brought together a cast of fashion icons, heirs and heiresses, business moguls, designers, and magazine editors, earning the tag of "crazy rich Asians" in real life by Netflix. This spin-off from the LA-based series was a hit, but in 2023 it was confirmed that neither version would be returning for more seasons. Crafted by the creators of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Bling Empire: New York showcased the stars splashing their cash on designer shopping sprees, attending glitzy parties and events, globetrotting, and managing their multi-billion pound businesses, all while uncovering the drama and secrets amongst them. Selling Sunset For some of the most eye-popping outfits ever seen on Netflix, Selling Sunset is your go-to. The series, which has aired eight seasons to date, trails the estate agents of the Oppenheimer Group and the scandals they find themselves embroiled in. Between drooling over jaw-dropping LA mansions, anticipate dramatic face-offs and endless tittle-tattle. Dubai Bling Dubai Bling delves into the lives of some of the city's wealthiest, revealing a group of millionaires flaunting their businesses, cars, designer labels and opulent homes. It wouldn't be a Netflix reality series without a dash of drama, as friendships crumble and alliances are forged amidst lies, envy and shocking disclosures. The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives The second series of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives landed on Disney+ just last month, charting the volatile relationships of several Mormon content creators from Utah, known as Mom Tok. After allegations of swinging and affairs were made public in 2022 by Taylor Frankie Paul, a spotlight was cast on her friendship circle, who now air their dirty linen in a reality series. Featuring fiery rows and marital meltdowns, confessions and accusations of infidelity, the forthcoming third series promises to be as explosive as ever. Below Deck The Bravo series Below Deck, which has since spawned numerous spin-offs, first hit our screens in 2013, documenting the lives of crew members working on a luxury yacht. From guests moaning and criticising, to staff showdowns and heated arguments, there's never a dull moment on board. The Below Deck franchise has since won over audiences globally and received several Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Vanderpump Villa Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump launched a series of her own spin-off shows following her dramatic exit from the Housewives. Vanderpump Villa, the fifth show after Vanderpump Rules, unveils the lives of her staff working in her posh French villa, Chateau Rosabelle, with drama stemming from the tensions of the crew living and working together. Ladies of London Over a decade before she started filming for The Real Housewives of London, Juliet Angus first appeared in Ladies of London. The reality series followed the lives of six British socialites and American expats juggling their families, businesses and social lives. Bravo declared in 2017 that there wouldn't be a fourth season of the show, only to surprise fans last month by announcing its return with "a new wave of British blue bloods, ambitious American expats and glamorous international socialites". The press release sparked interest with: "As tradition clashes with the fast-paced globalised world, these power players redefine what it means to be a woman of status in one of the most iconic cities in the world. Here connections are currency and the crown isn't the only thing up for grabs."

Dorit Kemsley's ex PK gets 'very flirty' with another stunning Real Housewife during dinner date
Dorit Kemsley 's ex Paul 'PK' Kemsley has reportedly been getting close to another Real Housewife amid their divorce. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's estranged husband has been romantically linked with another Bravolebrity and was reportedly getting 'very flirty' on Wednesday night. The businessman, 57, was reportedly 'all over' the Real Housewives of London's Amanda Cronin amid his ongoing estrangement, per The Sun. 'Amanda and PK were at The George together last night and it looked like a blossoming romance,' a source told the outlet. 'He was all over her like an excited puppy dog.' The insider added: 'It was very flirty and they weren't scared of hiding it. PK was absolutely loving the attention and didn't leave Amanda's side all night.' This comes shortly after PK was last seen on a PDA-filled date night with Amazing Race star Shana Wall and Dorit filed for divorce. After their outing, Cronin took to her Instagram Story to share group photo posing with PK as well as Mauricio Umansky, Kyle Richards ' ex and estranged husband. She shared the post on Thursday alongside the caption that she was having 'dinner with the boys.' Since then, Cronin's fellow cast members have reportedly been 'calling each other' and talking about the possible connection while filming the series' debut season. He allegedly 'didn't leave' the reality TV personality's side all night, the outlet claimed. However, PK insisted: 'There's no romance. Amanda and I are just friends.' PK has been married to Dorit, 48, since 2015. The longtime couple, now estranged, share two children — son Jagger, 11, and daughter Phoenix, nine. Last year, the exes announced that they decided to separate with a joint statement they released in May 2024. At the time, PK and Dorit wrote in their statement: 'To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship.' However, it wasn't until this year when Dorit finally filed for divorce after he was pictured kissing Shana Wall in a late-night Los Angeles outing. Just hours after her filing, PK shared a social media post, in which he appeared to be calling out and slamming his ex. In his since-deleted post, he wrote: 'No one plays the victim better than the one who caused the damage.' Since then, the pair have also been entangled in a contentious legal battle over custody of their two kids and were last publicly seen together when they had a tense reunion at their eldest child's baseball game in April.

Her famous exes include George Michael's Wham! bandmate Andrew Ridgeley and energy mogul Mark Daeche, whom she landed a multi-million pound settlement from in 2019. Amanda and I are just friends." Amanda did not respond to a request for comment. DIFFICULT DIVORCE PK and Dorit announced their separation in May last year, nine years after getting married in 2015. She officially fired for divorce in April. Boy George's manager has since hired Britney Spears' former divorce lawyer to deal with his split, as exclusively revealed by The U.S. Sun. Court filings show she asked for sole legal and physical custody of her two children with her ex, along with spousal support. PK has hired attorney Marci Levine, a partner with Summers Levine, LLP, who previously represented Spears during her divorce from ex, Kevin Federline. Levine has been practicing law since 1990, including complex financial and custody matters. In PK's legal response, he is seeking joint custody of their two children. He also waived his right to spousal support and has asked the court to terminate Dorit's own request. Dorit admitted on the show she was bracing herself for a difficult divorce and filed a day after PK was pictured kissing reality star Shana Wall.
