Police officers' association condemns YSRCP leaders' remarks

The Chittoor District Police Officers' Association, in a statement on Sunday, cautioned political leaders against making allegations against the police personnel. Referring to the comments made by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former Minister Ambati Rambabu during a programme at Bangarupalem recently that 'a rowdy sheet will be opened against an IPS officer if our party comes to power,' the association said such statements were unacceptable in a democratic set-up. The association said that permissions had been granted for an interaction with 500 mango farmers as per his request, yet senior officers' directions were ignored. The association also condemned Chittoor-based YSRCP leader M.C. Vijayananda Reddy's alleged abusive and indecent remarks against Two-Town Circle Inspector Nettikantayya and Sub-Inspector Ramesh Babu while they were trying to control clashes between two groups in Chittoor recently. The association said both the officers had acted lawfully under the orders of senior officials. The allegations that Mr. Nettikantayya had ordered a power-cut in the area during the clashes were false, it said. On suspension of the Personal Security Officer assigned to YSRCP Punganur MLA Peddireddi Ramachandra Reddy, the association said action had been taken for negligence in VIP security and not for political reasons as was alleged by former Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakara Reddy.

Ambati Rambabu Sends Best Wishes to Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu

Ahead of the release of Pawan Kalyan's latest flick Hari Hara Veera Mallu on July 24, a post by YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu has grabbed the lime light. Rambabu took to social media platform X and wished that Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu would become a super duper hit and hoped it would earn good collections as well. Interestingly, he also tagged Nagababu in the post. This unexpected post took everyone by surprise, particularly from political circles and movie fans. While some took it as a friendly and respectful gesture, others believe it might carry sarcasm, especially considering the rivalry between YSRCP and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party. His post on X has drawn even more attention to the already highly anticipated movie.

YSRCP launches satirical DJ song targeting NDA government in Andhra Pradesh

Alleging the failure of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh to deliver on its poll promises, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Guntur district president Ambati Rambabu launched a satirical DJ song titled 'Chandramukhi Super Flop 6' at a public meeting in Tenali on Monday. The event was themed 'Babu Surety - Fraud Guarantee,' targeting the alleged mismatch between the promises and performance of the current administration. Addressing party workers, Tenali Constituency Coordinator and former MLA Annabathuni Sivakumar accused the ruling government of betraying public trust. Mr. Rambabu, attending as the chief guest, alleged that while the government failed to implement the touted 'Super Six' promises, it has also been stifling dissent and suppressing the opposition. The song was conceptualised and created by Naladi Bujjibabu, Kanaparthi Prakash, Sudheer Vampugalla, and others, as a creative form of protest and political satire.

Naidu orchestrating atrocities via covert group: YSRCP

Guntur: Former Minister Ambati Rambabu in a statement said the state thrives on attacks and false cases on a daily basis and condemned relentless assaults on YSRCP workers. He cited the attempted murder of Mannava Sarpanch Nagamalleswara Rao in Guntur, questioning if the Ponnur MLA was unaware of this heinous act. Rambabu alleged the MLA shielded the perpetrators, exposing a nexus of political protection. Rambabu criticised Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu of orchestrating atrocities through a covert group of officials and retirees enforcing the Red Book agenda.

Ambati booked for obstructing police

Narasaraopet: Sattenapalli rural police registered a case against former minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu for obstructing police duties during YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit to Rentapalla village on June 18. The visit was to unveil a statue of YSRCP activist Nagamalleswara Rao, who died by suicide last year. Rambabu allegedly argued with police, removed barricades, and allowed YSRCP activists to gather at Korrapadu near Sattenapalli. He was booked under Sections 188, 332, 353, and 427 of BNS, and an investigation is underway. Further, police also booked YSRCP Sattenapalli Assembly constituency in-charge Gajjala Sudhir Bhargav Reddy and former MLA Dr Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy for conducting an unauthorised rally during Jagan's visit. Despite Section 30 of the Police Act being in force, the rally proceeded without permission and included a DJ sound system. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing. Palnadu district SP Kanchi Srinivasa Rao told the media on Thursday that permission was granted for three vehicles, escort vehicles, and 100 activists for the event. However, YSRCP leaders violated these conditions, obstructed police duties, damaged public property, disrupted traffic, and used a DJ sound system. The SP released a video showing the violations, which also caused a law-and-order issue. He said that legal action would be pursued after obtaining legal opinion and warned of strict measures against those violating law and order.
