Motorcyclist dies after collision in eastern New Brunswick
A motorcyclist has died following a two-vehicle collision in eastern New Brunswick over the weekend. A 36-year-old man from Riverview has died following a two-vehicle collision near Saint-Louis-de-Kent, N.B., early Sunday morning. The RCMP responded to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Route 11 between Exit 75 and Exit 64 near Saint-Charles around 3:10 a.m. Police believe the crash happened when a car, which was travelling southbound on Route 11, hit a motorcycle travelling in the same direction. The motorcyclist died at the scene. The driver of the car was taken to hospital with what is believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. The Richibucto Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick, and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner's Office also attended the scene. Both lanes of Route 11 were closed for several hours. The road reopened around 12:30 p.m. Update: Route 11 has since been reopened. — RCMP New Brunswick (@RCMPNB) July 6, 2025 A RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation, which is ongoing. Homeowner rescued, house destroyed by fire in Maces Bay, N.B.

(CTV Atlantic/Avery MacRae) A Musquash firefighter saved a homeowner from a fire in Maces Bay, N.B., Wedneday night. The firefighter, who lives nearby, was first on scene. They managed to enter the house and saved the homeowner from the burning home. No injuries were reported. The Musquash Fire Department received a call about the house fire in the area of Welch Cove Rd. at approximately 10:12 p.m., said the Musquash Fire Department in an email to CTV News. The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene. The Eastern Charlotte Fire Department assisted in dumping 35 loads of water from a local source to contain the fire. The Musquash Fire Department deployed a drone to survey for hot spots before declaring the fire out. Ambulance New Brunswick was on scene providing medical attention and monitoring the firefighters. New Brunswick man killed in ATV crash
A 62-year-old man from Kars, N.B., has died following an ATV crash in Wickham, N.B., said the RCMP in a Wednesday news release. Sussex RCMP responded to the ATV crash on Route 705 around 9:17 p.m. Tuesday with members of the Wickham Fire Department, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick coroner's office. Police believe the driver and sole occupant of the ATV lost control of the vehicle before the collision. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the exact cause of death. New Brunswick woman dies after two-vehicle crash in Burtts Corner
A 61-year-old woman from Burtts Corner, N.B., has died after a two-vehicle collision in the community last week. The RCMP, Keswick Valley Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the crash on Route 104 around 11:21 a.m. Friday. Police say the driver and passenger from one vehicle were taken to hospital. The RCMP provided an update Tuesday, stating the passenger has since died from her injuries. The driver in the other vehicle was not injured. Police did not release any additional details about the crash. Investigators are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage of the crash, to contact the Keswick RCMP at 506-357-4300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
