12 killed, 8 injured in Israeli airstrikes on Bekaa Valley, eastern Lebanon
Amir hagag An Israeli airstrike on Tuesday on the Wadi Fara area in Lebanon's northern Bekaa Valley, including one targeting a camp for displaced Syrians, killed 12 people and injured eight others. Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz revealed on Tuesday that the ongoing Israeli strikes on Lebanon are a clear message to Hezbollah, accusing the Iran-backed group of seeking to rebuild its capabilities in violation of a ceasefire agreement. The Israeli military said earlier today that it had begun bombing targets belonging to the group's elite Radwan Force in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley. The Lebanese Health Ministry said at least six people were injured in the Israeli airstrikes. Katz said in a statement: "The ongoing IDF airstrikes in Lebanon are a clear message to the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which plans to rebuild its capabilities to launch attacks against Israel through the Radwan Force." He stated that the raids were also a message to the Lebanese government, which is responsible for maintaining the ceasefire agreement. There has been no public response so far from Hezbollah or the Lebanese government to the latest Israeli raids. On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes launched raids on the western and eastern mountain ranges in Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, according to the local Central News Agency. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Guterres: The Level of Death and Destruction in Gaza is Unprecedented
Amir hagag UN Secretary-General António Guterres described what is happening in Gaza as "horrific," renewing his call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza that would pave the way for a political solution based on the UN Charter, international law, and UN resolutions. Guterres emphasized, according to the UN Information Center, that the level of death and destruction witnessed in Gaza is unprecedented in recent times, undermining the most basic conditions of human dignity for the people of Gaza. Guterres expressed his hope that the parties would be able to overcome the difficulties they face in order to achieve a ceasefire. He added that a ceasefire is not enough; it must lead to a solution, noting that this solution will only be possible if both Palestinians and Israelis are able to live in a state where they can exercise their rights. He stated that this is why a conference on the two-state solution will be held in July, adding that the presence of 5 million people within a country and on their own land without any rights is completely contrary to humanity and international law. For her part, UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell called on Israel to review its rules of engagement in Gaza following the killing of seven children waiting in line for water at a distribution point. Russell noted that the incident came just days after several women and children were killed while queuing for food supplies. The UN official wrote in a post on Twitter, "The Israeli authorities must urgently review their rules of engagement and ensure full compliance with international humanitarian law, particularly the protection of civilians, including children." The United Nations has repeatedly condemned the killing of Palestinians seeking food aid amid the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where food security experts have warned that the entire population is not receiving enough food. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Israel Launches Airstrikes on the City of Sweida in Southern Syria
Amir hagag Israel launched airstrikes on the city of Sweida in southern Syria on Tuesday, shortly after the Syrian army announced its entry. The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that "Israeli occupation aircraft are targeting the city of Sweida." The Israeli army has not yet commented on the reports. Israel confirmed on Monday that it had destroyed Syrian tanks in the area of tension in Sweida, while warning against targeting Druze in Syria. The Syrian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the army "continues to pursue outlaw groups around the city of Sweida and is continuing its operations with the aim of establishing stability and security." Sweida Governorate has been witnessing ongoing tensions for days, culminating on Sunday with deadly clashes between Bedouin tribes and local Druze factions over mutual kidnappings. The clashes resulted in the deaths of approximately 100 people, prompting the Syrian army and security forces to deploy units to resolve the conflict and separate the warring parties. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean

Life imprisonment for German doctor who killed 15 patients
Amir hagag In an incident that shocked Germany, a Berlin court began the trial of a 40-year-old German doctor accused of killing 15 patients under his care in a palliative care unit, a unit designed to alleviate the suffering of terminally ill patients. Prosecutors filed an indictment against the doctor, known by the media as "Johannes M." In compliance with German privacy laws, the indictment includes 15 counts of premeditated murder, in addition to "vile motives" for committing his crimes. The prosecution is seeking the maximum penalty of life imprisonment, along with a permanent ban on the doctor from practicing medicine, as well as permanent preventive suspension after the expiry of his sentence, if necessary, according to the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia. In the German judicial system, a prisoner can request release after 15 years of a life sentence. However, if a "very serious crime" is proven, this right is denied, which is what the prosecution is demanding in this case. The charges do not stop at murder alone; the accused is also suspected of setting fires in the homes of some of the victims to conceal evidence of the crimes he committed. He was arrested in August of last year and has since been in pretrial detention. In another development, the prosecution announced that it is investigating dozens of other suspicious cases linked to the same doctor. However, these are being conducted as separate proceedings from the current trial, indicating that his victim toll is likely much higher. read more Gold prices rise, 21 Karat at EGP 3685 NATO's Role in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict US Expresses 'Strong Opposition' to New Turkish Military Operation in Syria Shoukry Meets Director-General of FAO Lavrov: confrontation bet. nuclear powers must be avoided News Iran Summons French Ambassador over Foreign Minister Remarks News Aboul Gheit Condemns Israeli Escalation in West Bank News Greek PM: Athens Plays Key Role in Improving Energy Security in Region News One Person Injured in Explosion at Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
