Somasila waters will be brought to Marripadu soon: Anam
Nellore: Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has said that efforts were being made to bring Somasila waters to Marripadu mandal very soon. The Minister along with Udayagiri MLA Kakarla Suresh participated in various developmental programmes being taken up at a total cost of Rs 5 crore including laying foundation for Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works with Rs 95 lakh, construction of additional classrooms and providing infrastructure facilities with Rs 2.5 crore at Kasturibha Gandhi Girls Vidyalayam (KGGV), cold storage and products collection buildings and inauguration of 8 cement roads in at Marripadu mandal on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that as part of this initiative, the government has decided to bring 5 tmcft of Somasila water by completing Naidu Palle and Pinguru reservoirs with the aim of providing drinking water for 1 lakh families and 80,000 acres for agriculture operations in coming two years. While recalling that when he was the finance minister in united AP, it was proposed to take up the project at a cost of Rs 1,800 crore but unfortunately such proposals were dropped in the middle for various reasons including State bifurcation and negligence of rulers. The Minister said that after the formation of TDP-led coalition government in 2024 elections, it was Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu who had given his nod to the project when he brought the issue to Naidu's notice. The government is likely to release the funds very soon. The Minister has said that as part of initiative in providing jobs to unemployed youth, the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation (APSDC) would conduct a Mega Job Mela on August 1 and 2 which aims to provide jobs to 1,400 people in Atmakur. He said that as many as 30 multinational companies, and 20 State-level companies will participate in the two-day event. The Minister said that job-seekers should enroll their details in the APSDC website through QR code. The Minister also inaugurated a 10-day mega free Eye Camp and Mobile Surgical Bus of Sankara Netralaya organised by Korrapati Priya couple at ZP High School. Atmakur RDO Pavani, Somasila SE Venkataramana Reddy, district horticulture officer Subbareddy, SSA APO Venkatasubbaiah and others were present.

TTD-Endowments Department meeting resolves key issues
TIRUMALA: The joint meeting of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) and the Endowments Department held at Tirumala on Saturday discussed various long-pending issues and took several key decisions. The meeting was chaired by Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy along with TTD Chairman BR Naidu, Executive Officer J Syamala Rao and Endowments Secretary Vinay Chand. Several issues pending between the Endowments Department and TTD were reviewed at length. Speaking after the meeting, Ramanarayana Reddy said that the discussions were fruitful and that solutions had been found to several issues. Some of the major decisions included a Rs 3,000 monthly unemployment allowance to 590 unemployed Vedic pandits and the cooperation of TTD for laying a second road to Kanaka Durga temple in Vijayawada. The board meeting also discussed other major issues such as filling 192 posts in TTD-run colleges and the release of Rs 147 crore for the renovation of various temples. The presence of non-Hindus in TTD institutions and recent statements by Union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay that 1,000 employees belonging to other religions were working in TTD institutions across the country also came up for discussion. Further, discussions were held on the release of Rs 147 crore funds from TTD for temples under reconstruction. The meeting deliberated on allocating a percentage of the income of temples to the Endowments Department as per Endowment Act-9 and the proposal to allocate nine percent of the Common Good Fund to the department. With regard to the announcement of new trust boards to temples, the Minister said that the exercise would be completed by the end of August. 'All the 1,010 temples will soon get new Trust Boards. In fact, the government is ready to announce the new committees to all the said temples. But because of some political and legal hurdles, the government is waiting for some time,' he said. 'Even today, some of the Trust Boards appointed by the previous government are functioning. Some of the Chairmans are still continuing while their Trust Board members submitted resignations. As there is possibility of those still continuing in their posts approaching court, the government is waiting to announce the new committees to temples once the tenure of existing boards expires so as to avoid legal hurdles,' Anam said.

A.P. Endowments Minister discusses TTD staff issues with Trust Board
A joint review meeting of the Endowments Department and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) held in Tirumala on Saturday discussed issues related to employees of various departments, archakas and retired personnel and improving service standards for pilgrims. The meeting was organised following Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's directive to resolve the long-pending institutional issues through a unified approach. Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu, Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao and Endowments Secretary Vinay Chand took part in the discussions. Mr. Ramanarayana Reddy told the media that the deliberations of the meeting would be brought to the notice of the State government, and appropriate action would be initiated. Efforts are on to ensure improvements in darshan facilities and the quality of prasadams. These upgrades have already been implemented in 161 major temples across the State, besides ensuring that only religious activities are encouraged on the temple premises. The Endowments Minister said that renovation works had been sanctioned for over 200 temples, utilising the Common Good Fund (CGF), and that the dhoopa deepa naivedyams would be resumed in over 300 temples. Prominent among others present include TTD Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, Endowments Commissioner Ramchandra Mohan, JEO Veerabrahmam and the senior officials from both the departments.

Rs 22.5 cr sanctioned for roads in Atmakur: Anam
Nellore: Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy said the government has sanctioned Rs 22.5 crore for the construction and development of 369 CC roads in Atmakur constituency. As part of 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu', he laid foundation for the beautification Chejerla Tank at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore, and inaugurated Shopping Complex constructed by Endowments department, four CC roads and 16th century Chennakesava Swamy temple that was reconstructed, at Chejerla mandal on Thursday. The Minister said most of the roads in Atmakur constituency were damaged, making people living in remote areas to face severe inconvenience due to lack of transport facility. 'After I brought the issue to the notice of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, he immediately sanctioned Rs 22.5 crore for the purpose,' he informed. Anam said that Rs 35 crores were given to 27,124 beneficiaries under Talliki Vandanam scheme in the constituency. He said the government is gearing up to launch 'free bus travel' for women very soon. Responding to the plea of locals, Ramanarayana Reddy has directed the officials to prepare estimations for the reconstruction of Nageswara Swamy temple in the village. On this occasion, Minister Anam has conducted door-to-door campaign in Chejerla mandal and explained welfare schemes, super six being implemented during the one-year rule of TDP-led coalition government.

Spontaneous response to STA: Min Nararyana
Nellore: Public representatives of the district have received spontaneous response from the public during door-to-door campaign under the State government's 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' (STA) programme launched across the district on Wednesday. Minister P Narayana participated in the programme at Yalamavaridinne of 16th division Nellore city, Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy at Musthapuram area in Atmakur town, Kovur MLA Vemireddy Prasanthi Reddy in Butchireddy Palem town, and Nellore Rural in-charge Kotamreddy Giridhar Reddy in Nellore rural mandal have visited every house and detailed the developmental activities, welfare schemes being implemented during one year rule of TDP-led coalition government. Later speaking to reporters, Minister Narayana pointed out that people faced serious challenges and felt insecure as the State reeled under fear and panic during the five-year rule of YSRCP. He claimed that now there is no such situation as people are happy and enjoying development and welfare. Endowments Minister Anam claimed that people are satisfied with welfare programmes like Talli ki Vandanam, free gas cylinders, and assured that Annadatha Sukhibhava scheme will be launched very soon.
