Sundar Kand & blood donation on Rajnath b'day
Lucknow: The BJP Lucknow Mahanagar unit has begun preparations to celebrate the 75th birthday of defence minister and Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh on July 10. BJP Lucknow Mahanagar president Anand Dwivedi convened a planning meeting at Kaisarbagh office on Friday with party officials and workers. As part of the celebrations, a Sunder Kand recital will be held at Hanuman Setu temple. An Akhand Deep (eternal flame) will be lit in front of Lord Hanuman's idol, with prayers for the long life and well-being of the minister. Dwivedi, along with party workers, also inspected the site to ensure smooth preparations. BJP media in-charge Praveen Garg said a devotional music event will be organised and a 75-kg laddu will be offered and distributed as prasad.

‘PM's Mann Ki Baat inspirespositive civic engagement'
Lucknow: The BJP Lucknow Mahanagar unit under its chief Anand Dwivedi organised three key events at the booth level on Sunday. Senior leaders, including Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Rajya Sabha MP Dinesh Sharma, BJP state general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla and others participated. The 123rd episode of PM Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' was streamed live across booths. Party workers also paid floral tributes to Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his Balidan Diwas by garlanding his portrait and offering prayers. A plantation drive titled 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' was also launched. Pathak, after attending the event at Booth 362, Chinhat Mandal, said the monthly address by PM Modi inspires positive civic engagement. BJP's state organisation secretary Dharmapal Singh led similar events at Booth 235, urging members to plant and protect trees. The city-wide campaign aims for a minimum of 10 trees per booth.

BJP workers celebrate Brajesh Pathak's b'day
1 2 Lucknow: Scores of BJP workers and legislators from the Lucknow Mahanagar area extended warm wishes to Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak on his birthday on Wednesday. Praying for his good health and well-being, many of them visited his official residence to congratulate him. Some even organised Sundarkand recitals and bhandaras to mark the occasion. BJP's Lucknow Mahanagar area chief, Anand Dwivedi, said that MLAs Neeraj Bora, Yogesh Shukla, former MLA OP Srivastava, and media in-charge Praveen Garg met with the deputy CM at his residence in the morning. They also held discussions on upcoming campaigns and various development plans organised by the party in Lucknow.

Commoners to politicians, all join in to celebrate last Bada Mangal
Faith was served hot on the city streets as everybody from commoners to politicians soaked in the Bada Mangal festivities on Tuesday. While some distributed food, water and juices, others organised unique bhandaras. BJP city president Anand Dwivedi participated in various bhandaras, including one organised by excise minister Nitin Aggrawal at his residence in Gautampalli where state general secretary BJP Anoop Gupta, state president BJP Bhupendra Singh, deputy chief ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were also present. Dwivedi also participated in bhandaras organised by former MLC Arvind Tripathi Guddu, Vinayak Pandey, Gautam Kumar, Ravi Shankar Chaurasia, Shishir Bajpai, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Anita Tiwari, Madan Kumar, Kulbir Chaudhary, Danish Sonkar, Rajiv Mishra and Alambagh Vyapar Mandal and distributed prasad. Senior BJP leader Neeraj Singh also participated in the feasts and cultural programmes organised by social organisations, traders and workers. At a bhandara organised by Shiv Sharan Singh at UP Press Club, he was present with deputy chief minister Brajesh Pathak. Samajwadi Party's state general secretary and business leader Rambabu Rastogi organised a grand bhandara next to Thakurganj Kalyangiri temple in which former cabinet minister Shivpal Singh Yadav distributed prasad after performing the puja. During the puja, Jagdeep Chaudhary, Rajesh Yadav, Rajbala Rawat, Anil Verma, Neeraj Srivastava, Satendra Rajput, Narendra Singh, Mayank Singh, Vijay Verma, Sanjay Dwivedi, Ashwini Mishra, Umesh Bajpai, Ajay Verma, Mudit Mishra, Salim Hussain were present. Some socio-cultural organisation held bhandaras with a cause on the occasion. At a bhandara organised by a group of individuals from Madad Karona foundation, towels and water was distributed to rickshaw pullers and labourers. Abdul Saboor, founder of the foundation said that while there is an abundance of food for people on Bada Mangal, we distributed towels and water for those who work hard under scorching summer heat. 'The towels will help those doing tedious work by preventing them from getting heat strokes for the entire summer season,' said Saboor. A bhandara with tree saplings was organised outside UP Sangeet Natak Akademi by Repertwahr Foundation to promote green cover and importance of plantation.

Warm welcome to Rajnath on 1st visit to Lucknow post Op Sindoor
Defence minister Rajnath Singh was on Tuesday accorded a grand welcome at the Lucknow airport as he arrived in his parliamentary constituency for the first time after Operation Sindoor. A large number of BJP workers and locals carrying Tricolours reached the airport to welcome him. They started assembling at the airport from 3 pm onwards. The entire airport was decorated in Tricolours and 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' was resonating everywhere along drum beats. As soon as Singh came out of the airport, he got down from the car on seeing the long queue of people, went forward, accepted their greetings and waved towards them. Uttar Pradesh assembly speaker Satish Mahana, deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, state BJP chief Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, minister Kapil Dev Agarwal, Rajya Sabha MPs Dinesh Sharma, Sudhanshu Trivedi and Sanjay Seth were prominent among those who welcomed the defence minister at the airport. Former MP Ramapati Ram Tripathi, former minister Mahendra Singh, state BJP general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla, party's regional president Kamlesh Mishra, district president Anand Dwivedi, Neeraj Singh and MLC Mukesh Sharma were also present on the occasion. Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, BJP MLAs Neeraj Bora, OP Srivastava, Yogesh Shukla, along with Kamlavati Singh and Aparna Yadav were also there. Later, Tiranga Yatra was taken out from the airport up to Kanpur Road led by Anand Dwivedi. Large number of locals and BJP workers, including Ram Avtar Kanaujia, Abhishek Khare, Vinayak Pandey, Jaya Shukla, Ashok Tiwari, Vivek Tomar, Sita Negi, Manvendra Singh and Chetan Singh Bisht, among others took part in the yatra.
