1001 partners with Wide.net to deliver premium Arabic entertainment

The first phase will see the launch of acclaimed Arabic TV shows and movies, backed by targeted campaigns during key national holidays. Iraq's Arabic-language streaming service, 1001, has announced a strategic alliance with a content provider in the Middle East, to bring an extensive library of premium Arabic entertainment to audiences across the country. Under the partnership, acclaimed films, popular series and culturally resonant programming will be offered exclusively through the 1001 platform, significantly expanding its content catalogue. The agreement aims to meet the rising demand for high-quality, authentic Arabic content while offering a legal and stable alternative to piracy. As part of the rollout, viewers can expect exclusive promotional campaigns, bundled subscription packages, and personalised benefits designed to enhance the digital viewing experience and encourage support for licensed entertainment. Dr William Page, Chief Strategy Officer at 1001, said: 'This partnership represents a significant step forward in our mission to serve Iraq's growing demand for quality Arabic entertainment. With distinctive library now joining our ecosystem, we're expanding not only in scale but in the cultural relevance and diversity of what we offer. This strengthens our position as Iraq's go-to destination for legal, stable, and high-quality streaming.' The first phase of the collaboration will introduce acclaimed Arabic movies and television series, accompanied by targeted marketing efforts during key national holidays. 1001 plans to leverage a mix of SMS campaigns, in-app promotions, and social media outreach to connect with viewers nationwide. Anas Abdeen, Head of Content & Marketing at commented: 'We are excited to partner with 1001, a platform that shares our vision of delivering culturally rich and accessible content. This collaboration allows us to expand our reach while supporting Iraq's digital transformation through meaningful and value-driven entertainment.' Beyond expanding their content portfolios, both companies will also launch joint awareness initiatives to promote legal streaming and protect intellectual property. The campaigns will underscore the importance of supporting licensed content and the broader creative economy in Iraq.
