3,500 get placements at mega job mela

Eluru: Incoordination with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, a mega job fair under the leadership of Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar was grandly inaugurated at the CR Reddy Engineering College auditorium here on Monday. Over 3,500 job opportunities were provided through 42 leading companies. Speaking on the occasion, district collector K Vetriselvi mentioned that 42 job fairs were conducted in all constituencies of the district, resulting in 2,400 job placements. She described the availability of 3,500 jobs today as a positive development and urged youth to treat this as the first step in their careers, gain experience, and aim for higher positions in the future. She encouraged everyone to participate in the job fair, noting that company representatives would be available until evening. She emphasised that job fairs are being held in every constituency as part of a continuous process and urged youth to make the most of it to shape their future and improve financially. She also appreciated CR Reddy College for coming forward to organise job fairs and service activities. MP Putta Mahesh Kumar said that both Central and State governments are focusing on education and employment opportunities for the youth. He reiterated that providing job opportunities to youth was one of the major election promises and is now being fulfilled through such initiatives. Sharing his personal experience, he said he came from a middle-class family, completed his civil engineering, and worked in a small company for 18 months with a salary of RS 12,000. Using that experience, he went on to build five companies with a turnover of RS 4,000 crore, providing employment to many. He said opportunities will come to everyone and urged youth to utilize them wisely. West Godavari ZP Chairperson Ghanta Padmashri said that the mega job fair is a beacon of hope for youth and encouraged them to make the most of it. District SP K Pratap Shiva Kishore appreciated the efforts of MP Putta Mahesh Kumar in providing job opportunities for youth in the Eluru Parliamentary constituency. Eluru MLA Badeti Radhakrishna (Chanti) assured that even if one doesn't succeed initially, jobs will surely come in the second or third attempts, and emphasised that job fairs are a continuous process. The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and the Overseas Manpower Company of Andhra Pradesh (OMCAP), in collaboration with That Ruya ( have announced a new international job placement initiative aimed at providing skilled construction workers from Andhra Pradesh with employment opportunities in Kuwait. In a statement, APSSDC Executive Director D. Manohar said applications are invited from male candidates aged between 24 and 50 years, holding an ITI/Diploma in ceramic flooring, painting, electrical or ceiling works, along with three to five years of relevant work experience. The job location is Kuwait. A monthly salary between KWD 200 and 250 (approximately ₹56,000 to ₹70,000) is being offered. Employment will be under a two-year contract and the employer will cover visa processing, flight tickets, medical facilities and shared accommodation. Interested candidates should submit a valid passport, ITI/Diploma certificate and work experience certificate. APSSDC helps students get jobs in Germany

Guntur: Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has taken steps to improve skills of the youth to get jobs with lakhs of rupees as salaries per month in the foreign countries. The corporation is imparting the necessary training in German language so that the trained candidates may get jobs in Germany. According to officials, so far seven nurses trained in German language at APSSDC got jobs in Germany. At present, APSSDC is teaching German language to 340 ITI final year students and BSC Nursing students online. Germany needs manpower particularly the technical workers and nurses. The APSSDC will extend necessary support and cooperation to the students successfully completed training to get jobs in Germany. According to officials, students studying BSC Nursing final year in nursing colleges in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, Eluru, NTR, Guntur, Ongole, Nellore, Tirupati, Kadapa, Anantapur, Kurnool, and Krishna districts will get training in German language from this academic year so that they can get employment opportunities in Germany. The government has already issued a GO to this effect. Compared to India, the salary and other monetary benefits are more in Germany. The APSSDC is focusing on teaching foreign languages. The APSSDC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer G Ganesh Kumar said, 'We have entered into MoUs with Cura Personal, SM Care Solutions, 2 Coms, Skillbee India, Indo European Synchronisation (IES) for foreign language and placements and imparting training in German language.' Command over the English language is also very important to the ITI passed students to get jobs in English speaking countries. Interested youth seeking jobs abroad may register their details at the APSSDC office in the district. In order to get online training in German language, the youth have to register their details as soon as APSSDC releases notification on the website. The APSSDC officials will take steps to impart training in German language.

The Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) has announced overseas job opportunities in Qatar for skilled welders, under the roles of TIG & ARC Multi Welder and Welder services. The initiative aims to support men aspiring to work abroad, offering stable employment and attractive benefits, according to a press release issued by Guntur District Skill Development Officer Konda Sanjeeva Rao on Tuesday. Eligible candidates must hold ITI/ITC certification and have a minimum of four years experience. Applicants aged between 24 and 45 years are encouraged to apply. The monthly salary ranges from QAR 1,800 to 2,600, translating to approximately ₹42,478 to ₹61,365. The minimum contract period is two years. Selected candidates will receive free accommodation, food, medical facilities, local transportation and a return flight ticket once during the contract. The selection process includes both a test and a technical skill assessment. Working days will be six per week, with Fridays as a weekly off. Applicants will need to bear a total travel cost of ₹35,000, covering visa and flight expenses.
