Colorado's Jordan Seaton Turning Heads with Stunning Transformation
Colorado's Jordan Seaton Turning Heads with Stunning Transformation originally appeared on Athlon Sports. At 360 pounds, Jordan Seaton arrived in Boulder as a mountain of a man, raw, powerful, and full of promise. Now, just a year later, he's something entirely different: refined, explosive, and arguably the most physically prepared lineman in Deion Sanders' revamped Colorado Buffaloes locker room. Advertisement The transformation isn't just noticeable, it's undeniable. After shedding over 50 pounds under the watchful eye of strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey, Seaton now checks in at 305 pounds. He's leaner. He's faster. And as recent footage from Thee Pregame Show revealed, he's already in game shape, in June. 'You got to be able to do things that a person your size can't do,' Seaton said in the footage. 'You've got to do the little things better.' And he's doing just that. Blowing Past Defensive Ends in Sprints In a workout session captured earlier this month, Seaton didn't just complete three consecutive 200-yard sprints, he won them. That's not a typo. At over 300 pounds, Seaton outran lighter defensive ends in back-to-back-to-back long sprints, stunning observers and even his coaches. Advertisement The visual was jarring: the former five-star lineman, once considered too heavy to keep up, now leading from the front. Literally. A Vocal Leader Filling the Void With several veterans departing after the 2024 season, the Buffaloes' locker room needed a new voice. Seaton has stepped up. Whether it's breaking down huddles or pushing teammates in drills, he's emerged as a cornerstone of the team's culture shift. 'Expectation starts within yourself,' Seaton said of a preseason meeting with Swasey. 'We set an expectation that we want to be number one.' That self-belief is contagious, and visible. Coaches say Seaton has become the type of player who raises the bar for everyone around him. Colorado Buffaloes left tackle, Jordan Seaton Stronger, Smarter, Sharper Don't let the weight loss fool you, Seaton hasn't sacrificed power for speed. He's not just leaner physically, he's sharper mentally, more intentional with every rep. Advertisement And with Colorado's offensive line under heavy scrutiny following a revolving door at the other spots on the line, Seaton's offseason grind isn't just admirable. It's essential. Jordan Seaton isn't just ready, he's next. A sophomore with a senior's mindset, Seaton is now a foundational figure in Coach Prime's blueprint. His transformation is already rewriting narratives in Boulder. And if his words are any indication, he's not done. 'I don't want to lose to nobody, but I also want to run my own race.' Colorado fans, keep your eyes on No. 77. The big man is just getting started. Colorado Coach Sends Clear Message to Players With Deion Sanders Out
Colorado Coach Sends Clear Message to Players With Deion Sanders Out originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Imagine this: the Colorado Buffaloes are sprinting toward Week 3 in summer camp and yet the clock is already ticking on their entire season. Strength coach Andreu Swasey snapped his team to attention in the newest Well Off Media video, delivering a rallying cry that every second counts. With Coach Deion Sanders ('Coach Prime') sidelined and fighting his own health battle, Swasey's words weren't just motivational, they were a mission statement. Advertisement 'Your damn head gonna spin' – Grasp the urgency As players were gearing up for a player‑led 7-on-7 session, Swasey cut through the noise: 'We're in week three… after that week four and then there's a break… it's gonna come so fast your damn head gonna spin.' He emphasized that time is the fiercest opponent, warning that complacency at this stage means regret when the games begin. Swasey reminded the team that four weeks of camp are gone, July will fly by, and before they know it, August, and the opener will be here. No more time for wasted moments. Discipline is everything – Take responsibility now Swasey brought it home by spotlighting the one trait Coach Prime values above all: discipline. He said it's non-negotiable: Advertisement 'Coach Prime, the one thing he know we got to do is discipline… make sure you don't have no food in the locker room… got the right gear on… where I supposed to be…' He laid out the blueprint: perfect habits in small things, including the locker room, equipment, and timeliness build the foundation for championship-level performance. If discipline becomes part of the team's DNA, Swasey said, they'll win games. Discipline + Character = Championships – Believe in the process Bringing it full circle, Swasey tied it all together: 'If we are a disciplined team, which goes into our DNA: smart, fast, discipline with character … we gonna win all our games.' Advertisement This wasn't just pep talk; it was a promise rooted in process. Swasey sold the long game, and by doing the right things could transform this team into winners. The backdrop: Coach Prime's health As Swasey reminded the Buffaloes of the value of time, their head coach, Deion Sanders, remains out of public view, handling an undisclosed health issue at his Texas home. Multiple trusted outlets have confirmed. Sanders has been afflicted by an 'unspecified health issue,' recuperating at Texas estate, timeline for his return is unclear. Son Deion Sanders Jr. says his father 'is feeling well' and will share more when ready. Coach Prime spoke on X, (formerly Twitter) saying, 'Everything is OKAY and will continue to be so.' He tanked fans for their prayers. Advertisement His absence heightens Swasey's message: the athletes must step up now, because their leader can't be there in person. Time, discipline, and unity are non-negotiables. Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion SandersCU Buffs What it means for Colorado fans • Leadership beyond the head coach: Swasey's address shows the staff stepping into the void left by Coach Prime's absence, as well as reinforcing standards and accountability. • Urgency is contagious: From July's relentless pace to August's opener, the message is clear: don't wait to hit peak readiness. • Character isn't optional: Beyond Xs and Os, Swasey spoke to building strong humans who are ready for the grind. Advertisement Buffs fans, this one's on us. The clock is ticking. As Coach Prime heals in Texas and Swasey's words echo through Boulder, here's the mission: Hold players and ourselves to the same standard. Watch for discipline. Demand accountability. Expect results. This season won't wait. It's time to live up to every one of those words, and then some. Because when discipline becomes DNA, championships follow. Period. Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example
Jordan Seaton Challenged by Deion Sanders' Colorado Staff to Lead by Example originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Jordan Seaton has embraced his new leadership role at Colorado. The former five-star has become the face of the Buffs and leads by example. The latest request from his coaches shows his growth over the past year. CU strength and conditioning coach Andreu Swasey challenged the team to become 'attractive'. He explained his request and how it applies to football. Advertisement 'Become attractive men. In football, to a coach, to your teammates, being attractive is being somebody that people look up to and want to be motivated from. Be attractive men. It will help the team be more successful if you take care of yourself,' Swasey said. Seaton developed in his freshman season. There was no waiting on the sidelines with the one-time IMG Academy product starting immediately. With the absence of names like Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, CamRon Silmon-Craig, and others who have departed the program for life after college, a leadership void was expected. However, Seaton has chosen to fill that void in a big way. Some of the new Colorado players have become adjusted to live in Boulder. Every year the same thing happens. New recruits and transfers arrive in Boulder for summer camp, and some find out very quickly that the elevation and thin mountain air is a real thing. It is not uncommon for new players to face an adjustment period. In today's conditioning periods, multiple players were seen gassed and even in danger of suffering from altitude sickness. Two years ago, a viral video surfaced of former CU five-star Cormani McClain struggling to adjust with none of his teammates helping him out. Today's workout revealed Jordan Seaton has no intention of allowing that to happen. As players began to show signs of sickness, he was there for them. Terrell Timmons, Brandon Davis-Swain and Tyler Brown could be seen assisting players to catch their breath with Seaton nearby off camera. He allowed for a breather but would not accept quitting on the conditioning. 'Okay, but he's not quitting, he ain't quitting,' Seaton declared. After each run, he would check back with words of encouragement. Before too long, even those struggling pushed themselves to get back to the line to run the sprint. Before long players like Seaton and Yahya Attia were asking Swasey to 'blow it' as if they weren't interested in resting between reps. While this team under Deion Sanders has never been 'out for self', there is a strong sense of 'we' over 'me' early in this offseason. While everyone seems to be bought in on the concept, it's becoming very clear that Seaton intends to be the vocal leader of this football team.
