Dave Portnoy burns comedian who called him out by revealing their private Mamdani texts
Comedian and podcaster Andrew Schulz objects to Dave Portnoy's criticism of New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, not for political reasons, but because he sees the Barstool Sports founder as a non-New Yorker. 'If you're not spending 51 percent [of your time in the city], you're not pot committed,' Schulz, 41, told internet show Breaking Points with the help of a poker term. 'So just shut the f*** up about it.' Many conservatives have criticized the Democratic primary winner as unfit for City Hall because he's a socialist. Some, including President Donald Trump, have taken the criticism a step further by falsely claiming Mamdani is a 'communist' – something the 33-year-old candidate has denied. Schulz, though, didn't buy that criticism from Portnoy, saying the Barstool Sports Presidente and staunch defender of Israel is more upset about Mamdani's public support for Palestinians amid the war in Gaza. 'It's like, Portnoy, just say you're upset about the Israel s***,' Schulz said. 'You don't live in New York. Stop acting like you care. Stop acting like you care if a socialist, communist runs New York. You're upset because he said 'globalize the intifada,' just make it about that. You're allowed to make it about that.' Portnoy has now responded online by revealing private text messages that purportedly show Schulz attacking the 'New York-first' candidate for his economic views. Portnoy shared a text exchange between himself and Schulz in which the comedian criticized Mamdani's economic views. Schulz and Portnoy have been bickering over the candidate In response to Schulz saying Portnoy should 'stop acting,' the Barstool boss wrote: 'If anybody is acting it ain't me.' Portnoy's post included two grabs from a text exchange with someone identified as 'Andrew.' 'I hate his policies,' Schulz purportedly wrote Portnoy in the exchange, seemingly referring to Mamdani. 'Hate his logic. 'I think he wants to help he's just wrong in the way he's trying to help.' Daily Mail has reached out to a Schulz spokesperson for a response. Schulz and Portnoy both proved to be key allies for Donald Trump as he won the 2024 Presidential Election. But while both interviewed Trump along his return route to the White House, Schulz has become more critical of a President in recent months. Specifically, Schulz has accused Trump of failing to uphold campaign promises to reduce spending, end foreign wars and release the case files related to Jeffrey Epstein, the deceased financier and convicted pedophile.

The news comes in sifting through the latest edition of Netflix's biannual 'What We Watched' report, unveiled on Thursday, which looked at streaming engagement on the platform from January through June. Second on the list is 2024's top-grossing touring comedian Nate Bargatze, who was ranked 275th with 6.7 million views for Your Friend, Nate Bargatze. His ranking was naturally affected by the fact that the special dropped on December 24, 2024, so the first days of viewership were folded into the report for the back half of 2024. Third on the list of comics, and 281st overall, is Andrew Schulz with his pregancy-themed LIFE, which garnered 6.6 million views. Bert Kreischer's Lucky followed in fourth with 4.5 million views, with Shane Gillis: Beautiful Dogs, Gillis' old special from 2023, tailing that one in fifth place at 3.6 million views. (Technically, the Kill Tony special Kill or Be Killed from April is in fifth with 4 million, though as a show involving performances by numerous comedians, it's not an exact comparison to the average stand-up special. Similar outliers near the top of the list included Justin Willman: Magic Lover, which is as much magic as it is comedy at 2.6 million views, and Conan O'Brien: The Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor with 2.4.) Other top performers this time around included Katt Williams, whose Woke Foke from 2024 recorded another 2.1 million views, and Chelsea Handler with The Feeling, which recorded the same. The bad news for comics in looking at this list, in comparison to those most recently put out, is that the overall performance of specials on Netflix seems to be coming down. Though, to be fair, the top-ranking comics of the last two reports were Jamie Foxx and Dave Chappelle, and Foxx's fans had an extra reason to tune in, given that they'd be hearing him speak about a health scare for the first time. Foxx won the back half of 2024 with What Had Happened Was…, which garnered 11.6 million views, whereas Chappelle's The Dreamer dominated the first half at 17.4 million. Trump Voter Comedian Blasts President On Epstein Files, Slamming GOP And Dem 'Cults'
Comedian and popular podcast host Andrew Schulz distanced himself further from President Donald Trump on Tuesday, this time over the Trump administration's failure to release files related to convicted child sex abuser Jeffrey Epstein. 'Maybe there's hope, maybe there's an opportunity that things can change,' he said of why New Yorkers voted for democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani. 'I think that's probably what a lot of us thought with the Epstein files with Trump,' Schulz told guest Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) on Tuesday's episode of his podcast, 'Flagrant.' Schulz, who voted for Trump and previously interviewed him on his podcast, blasted the president last week for 'doing the exact opposite' of campaign promises that included ending wars, stopping spending and releasing the Epstein files. The White House responded to Schulz's criticism in a statement to Fox News last week, stating that the comedian 'knows life is far better in President Trump's America than it would have been under a weak and incompetent President [Kamala] Harris.' Schulz replied by railing against the White House in an Instagram post, asking, 'are you going to cover up a global pedophile blackmail ring or not?' 'We know Kamala would have covered it up. Joe and her had the Epstein file during his term. They choose to cover it up,' Schulz wrote. 'We thought you guys would expose it because…. you said you would expose it.' 'I'm in neither one of your fucking cults, OK? If you want me to be in your cults, you can go fuck off,' Schulz said. 'I'm not in the Dem cult. I'm not in the Republican cult. I'm a free American, I'll make my own fucking decisions and I'll say whatever the fuck I want about whatever president is in power.' The podcaster later noted that despite his disappointment with Trump, he doesn't 'regret' voting for him. He argued Trump has pulled the Democratic Party to the center and that Democrats are 'starting to take up the issues' that Trump 'was the one campaigning on,' including the release of the Epstein files. Schulz praised Khanna for pushing Attorney General Pam Bondi to release the files. 'Now you see so much of the Democratic Party that's echoing a lot of the sentiments that are usually on the right,' Schulz said, calling the Epstein file controversy 'a right-wing thing that now the right wing is trying to sweep under the rug.' Khanna said he didn't see the Epstein files as a 'partisan issue,' but rather 'an issue of trust.' 'It's a pretty simple thing, and to me, it's whose side are you on?' the Democrat said. 'Are you going to be on the side of the rich and powerful basically getting their own justice, or are you going to be on the side of people who were participating in this being exposed?' Trump ferociously turns on his own base ripping into 'weaklings' stoking Epstein conspiracies
Donald Trump can't make his most fervent supporters forget about his administration's Jeffrey Epstein files failure – no matter how hard he tries. And now Trump says he doesn't want the backing of those who still believe the 'Epstein hoax.' The president insists Democrats are to blame for stoking conspiracies about the disgraced financier and convicted child sex offender – even though his MAGA base is the most vocal in their claims about Epstein's suspicious death and the existence of a list of co-conspirators. Trump on Wednesday again begged his supporters to move on and said those giving into the 'Epstein hoax' are part of a group of his 'past supporters.' 'The Radical Left Democrats have hit pay dirt, again!' Trump wrote on Truth Social, likening Epstein conspiracies to their past capitalization on the 2016 election interference investigation and fake claims Hunter Biden 's laptop was a Russian disinformation campaign. The Justice Department and FBI released a memo this month concluding the initial findings that Epstein killed himself in prison are true and that there is no such list of clients who engaged in the child sex trafficking ring. The MAGAverse immediately was up in arms over the Epstein files review, claiming it was a failure or even a cover-up within the DOJ to protect high profile individuals. Among the latest to turn against Trump is podcaster and comedian Andrew Schulz, who unleashed a viral rant against the president for his 'failed' Epstein promises. Schulz hosted Trump on his podcast in October in the weeks leading to the election, but is now admitting he's disappointed by his second term so far. 'I wanted something different,' he said. 'I was hoping for some sort of change.' In the week-and-a-half since the memo went public, Trump has repeatedly tried to get his supporters to stop demanding more answers about the investigation, claiming the case is closed. He has defended Attorney General Pam Bondi and said Democrats made up the conspiracies, which he now calls the 'Jeffrey Epstein Hoax,' to divide Republicans. 'These Scams and Hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at - It's all they have,' Trump wrote on his Truth Social account on Wednesday. 'Their new scam is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my past supporters have bought into this 'bull****,' hook, line, and sinker.' Trump claims those who used to support him have been tricked by Democrats into believing Epstein conspiracies and are now working against him. 'Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work, don't even think about talking of our incredible and unprecedented success, because I don't want their support anymore!' Trump said. The president's base, including FBI Director Kash Patel and Deputy Director Dan Bongino, were among the pro-MAGA voices who pushed conspiracies that Epstein was murdered in jail and that he held a 'client list' that he used as blackmail. The Wednesday post comes after Trump made another lengthy plea on his Truth Social over the weekend for his 'selfish' supporters to move on. 'We're on one Team, MAGA, and I don't like what's happening,' the president lamented in the Saturday post. 'We have a perfect Administration… and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein.' Epstein died in prison on August 10, 2019. His death was ruled to be a suicide by hanging after he was found by prison guards unconscious with a bedsheet wrapped around his neck in his prison cell. Trump said the Epstein 'hoax' was conjured up by Democrats, including former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan. He said it was up to them to release the files. 'They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called 'friends' are playing right into their hands,' Trump wrote. 'No matter how much success we have had… it's never enough for some people.' The president claims that Bondi has more important work to do then spending more months on looking at the Epstein files. 'Let's keep it that way, and not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about,' he concluded.

Comedian podcaster says he's breaking free from Trump 'cult' after massive betrayal
Podcaster and comedian Andrew Schulz unleashed a viral rant against President Donald Trump for failing to release the 'list' of financier and convicted pedophile Jeffery Epstein's clients. Schulz and his co-host Akaash Singh kicked off their Flagrant podcast on Tuesday discussing the big scandal of the week: the administration's handling of the Epstein files. They compared their own experiences dealing with critics calling them 'idiots' and 'bad Americans' online and Trump's MAGA haters coming for him about his 'failed' Epstein promises. Earlier in the week, Schulz and his crew wore tin-foil hats on their show as they criticized the president's failure to keep his promises to release the Epstein list, get out of foreign wars and cut spending. Trump recently bombed Iran 's nuclear sites and also got his signature big, beautiful bill passed which is estimated to add $3.4 trillion to the national deficit. 'I voted for none of this. He is doing the exact opposite of everything I voted for. I want him to stop wars, he's funding them. I want him to shrink spending, reduce the budget, he's increasing it,' Schulz said. The comedian had hosted Trump on his podcast in October in the weeks leading to the election despite backlash at the time. But now he's admitting he's disappointed by Trump's actions in his second term. 'I wanted something different. I was hoping for some sort of change,' he said, but he then defied anyone who tried to recruit them in their political camp. 'I just want to let you all right now, I'm in neither one of your f**king cults if you want me to be in your cults you can go f**k all, I'm not a Dem cult, I'm not a Republican cult, I'm a free American I'll make my own f**king decisions, and I'll say what ever the f**k I want about whatever president is in power,' Schulz said. During the campaign, Schulz and his podcast crew went viral for their hilarious interview with Trump as he detailed how he used 'the weave' to respond to questions and revealed how he came up with snappy nicknames for his opponents. The pair of hosts mocked Democratic critics who accused them of helping the president win simply by sitting down with him for an interview during the campaign and 'humanizing' him. 'You just wanna take no accountability for the fact that you ran a dead guy and a woman that couldn't speak,' Schulz said, referring to former President Joe Biden and former vice president Kamala Harris respectively. Both hosts reminded their audience they were not surprised that a politician appeared on their show and did not keep his promises. Schulz said he wanted Trump to do three things, stop the endless wars, stop government spending into oblivion, and to release the Epstein files. 'If Trump did one of the things, yeah. We would've been happy,' he said. 'Unfortunately the only one he chose was the immigration one, the one we were not that enthusiastic about.' When they spoke with Trump during the campaign about their distaste for his promise to deport all illegal immigrants, Trump famously promised them he would start with criminals. Schulz said he did not regret his vote for Trump, but was disappointed with the results. 'Yeah. So he's done nothing on those fronts in terms of the promises he made us. But I don't regret it at all,' he said. 'I don't even regret voting for him at all. Because what you see is all these Democrats that are starting to take up the issues that he was the one campaigning on.' The hosts noted that the White House responded to Schulz by name in a statement to Fox News, and trumpeted their newfound influence. 'Andrew Schulz knows life is far better in President Trump's America than it would have been under a weak and incompetent President Harris. As a guest on the Flagrant podcast, millions of listeners heard the President lay out his vision for America, and many voted in support of it—that's exactly what President Trump is successfully executing. Name the issue, and the President is solving it. From the border to Biden's inflation to fostering world peace—the results speak for themselves,' White House spokesman Harrison Fields told Fox News Digital last week. 'It was the dumbest thing that the White House has ever done. I just wanna point that out, never respond to us,' Schulz joked. They joked that in the future, they would demand a statement from the White House every time they had something critical to say about Trump. 'Listen, something we say now, we expect an immediate response from the White House. Yeah. A precedent has been set. If we talk about the White House, they fu**ing respond,' Schulz laughed. Schulz welcomed former Obama White House aides Tommy Vietor and Jon Favreau from the podcast Pod Save America on the show to talk about politics, indicating it was more important than ever to talk to the other side of the political aisle. They also welcomed Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna on the show to talk about his proposed Congressional amendment that would release all of the redacted Epstein files. Schulz said he would continue to criticize political figures and say what he thought when it came to politics. 'When people fail us and fail us on the promises that they make, we should criticize them. Like what is the alternative? We just vote and then agree with every single thing that person does?' he asked. 'You know, so it's like, and you should hold the elected officials accountable. And we live in this like weird time where any measure to hold them accountable comes with immediate criticism.'
