I tried toilet paper from Aldi, Tesco, M&S & more - 1 was softer than Andrex

Retailing at 50p per toilet roll, this M&S one was super soft and nice to the touch (Image: Angela Patrone) The humble loo roll can often spark debate, with some preferring softness while others value thickness. However, prices have soared in recent years, especially for market leaders like Andrex. Supermarkets nationwide, from Aldi to Sainsbury's, have now introduced their own brands to compete with these industry titans. Quilted, super soft, luxury, budget-friendly, and even aloe vera-infused - there's something to cater to everyone's taste. With such a wide variety of choices, picking the perfect one can be quite a conundrum. To save you the trouble, we've tested everyday toilet papers from all major supermarkets to determine which provide the best quality and value for money. To ensure a fair comparison, I bought a four-pack of standard toilet rolls from each supermarket, folded two sheets from each roll together and squirted them each with an equal amount of water. I also evaluated how easily they ripped under pressure, reports the Express. Aldi's (on left) toilet roll has an almost identical wave pattern to Andrex (on right) (Image: Angela Patrone) Andrex has been the brand I've always reached for as it does the job pretty efficiently, but given that it costs £2.95 for four rolls, I don't think the price justifies it. This toilet paper features a unique 3D wave texture, which boosts its resistance to tearing. However, the thickness is somewhat lacking; it's soft, but at two-ply, it doesn't quite measure up to other brands. Rating: 7/10 The budget-friendly supermarket Aldi presents its own range of toilet rolls, from soft to premium softness. Unfortunately, only the "luxury" softer range was available for review. Echoing Andrex's wave pattern, this £1.39 roll doesn't quite hit the mark in terms of quality, struggling with water absorption and tearing more readily. Nevertheless, its low price makes it an attractive option. Rating: 6/10 Retailing for the same price as Aldi's toilet roll, Lidl's Floralys ended up being worse. While the paper is tough and thick, it is also rough and scratchy. Contrary to its "luxury soft" claim, Lidl's product fails to impress in the comfort department. Rating: 4/10 Asda's toilet roll was of better quality than Lidl's (Image: Angela Patrone) The Tesco toilet paper was quite resistant and didn't split when wet (Image: Angela Patrone) At £1.38, Asda's toilet paper represents good value for money, feeling robust without succumbing to tears. It's gentle to the touch and performs well in water absorption tests. A solid pick for those looking to trim their grocery expenses. Rating: 8/10 The Tesco toilet paper was quite resistant and didn't split when wet. I found that it had similar absorbency to Andrex, although the softness was lacking. Costing the same as Aldi and Lidl, this was better than both of them, so this a a great value option to go for. Rating: 6.5/10 Standing out for its commitment to the environment, it was the only brand presented in paper packaging, earning it praise as the top eco-friendly choice. Sainsbury's £1.90 version felt soft and thicker than Andrex, although not quite as smooth. It had average performance in the water test, with the paper splitting under a small amount of pressure when wet. Rating: 8/10 Sainsbury's £1.90 version felt soft and thicker than Andrex (Image: Angela Patrone) The Waitrose toilet paper was pretty absorbent, but I would have expected better from a £2 pack (Image: Angela Patrone) Morrisons' toilet paper felt very smooth and soft. Unfortunately, it didn't do well in the water tests as it fell apart easily when it was wet. For the price of £1.75, I wouldn't say they're worth the spend. Rating: 6/10 This toilet paper was soft and nicely detailed, but the two-ply sheets were small and tore very easily. Despite showing good absorbency, one might expect a bit more luxury from a £2 packet at this upmarket retailer. Rating: 7.5/10 Faced with a selection of loo rolls, I came across Spring Meadow with its "delicate" floral pattern and Shining Stars featuring celestial motifs. Opting for the super soft type, it boasted triple-ply sheets. At 50p per roll, this option stood out for its exceptional softness and strength, attributed to its three layers. Environmentally aware shoppers will be pleased to know it includes at least 15% recycled material, blending indulgence with eco-friendliness. Rating: 9/10 Retailing at 50p per toilet roll, this M&S one was super soft and nice to the touch (Image: Angela Patrone) Following this experiment, I can confidently declare that I've switched loyalties from Andrex to M&S's toilet paper. It's not just softer than Andrex, but also boasts a thicker texture. While £2 may seem a bit much for toilet tissue, opting for Waitrose won't compromise on quality compared to Andrex. For those watching their budget, Asda's £1.38 offering is my recommendation.

Best household essential deals in the Amazon Prime Day 2025 sale

Four days of savings on hundreds of household essentials means one thing: Amazon Prime Day 2025 is underway. Whether you're looking for laundry detergent, bathroom must-haves or cleaning supplies, the online giant has slashed the price of your weekly staples in its summer sale. As The Independent 's consumer editor, I'll be bringing you the best offers on the practical buys that you always need at home – think toilet roll, dishwasher tablets and pet food, which always seem to run out when you need them. To make sure that you're getting a genuinely good deal, I have even compared Amazon's Prime Day prices with supermarkets, so I can tell you if you're making a saving compared to picking up the items on your weekly shop. Having covered the shopping event since its launch, I can easily spot a good deal from a dud (and have even rounded up my top tips for shopping the summer sale). Keep reading for our expert picks of the best deals on household essentials. Prime Day is the perfect time to stock up on extra toilet paper. This deal on a pack of 24 toilet rolls will save you 16 per cent on the everyday essential. Andrex is a household name and needs little introduction, of course, but it's worth noting that its paper has been dermatologically tested and approved by the British Skin Foundation. Keeping your washing machine clean can help prolong its life, which is cost-effective in the long run, but it's also better for your laundry. A cleaner washing machine means cleaner clothes, after all. This pack of Calgon's washing machine cleaner and limescale remover is currently reduced by more than 40 per cent in the Prime Day sale. It's formulated to protect your machine against limescale build-up and detergent residue, and it should help to keep odours at bay, too. Buying everyday essentials, such as laundry detergent, in bulk can often help you save. This two-pack of Fairy non bio pods beats supermarket prices at the moment, so if you're nearing the end of your detergent, now is a good time to stock up. The liquid gel formula was named best laundry detergent for sensitive skin, with our reviewer, Zoe, praising its cleaning power. 'From everyday wear to tougher stains such as food spills and mud on kids' clothes, it left everything looking fresh and spotless,' she said. Clean up this whopping 70 per cent saving on Finish's dishwasher tablets, which has brought the pack down from a sizeable £40 to just £12. The brand claims the tablets can deal with 48-hour dried-on stains, so you don't need to waste water and time pre-rinsing your dishes. Glassware and silverware should come out looking sparkling clean too, thanks to the glass protect formula, while the fast-dissolving tablets mean they'll still be able to do their job on short and eco cycles. Every little saving can add up and make a real difference when it comes to household essentials, so it's worth adding these washing capsules to your Prime Day basket if you're running low. And if someone in your household has sensitive skin, these are ideal, as they're dermatologically tested and gentle next to sensitive skin. Persil says the tablets are its fastest-dissolving laundry detergent capsules. And, you can use them on a cold or fast wash without having to worry about residues. Each of pack in this six-pack of Dettol antibacterial cleaning wipes contains 126 wipes, so they should keep you going for a long time. Wipes are a quick and easy way to keep your home clean, and you can rest assured these ones don't contain any bleach. They can also be used on a multitude of surfaces, from the kitchen to baby equipment and even the floor. Olive oil has become very expensive, so we're excited to spot an offer on this bottle of Filippo Berio olive oil ahead of Prime Day. This is the lowest this size has ever dropped to, with plenty of olive oil for all your salad dressings, pasta dishes and barbecues this summer. If you love the taste of it, you can get it regularly delivered with Amazon's 'subscribe and save' option, too. Vanish is known for its stain-removing power, and when IndyBest tester reviewed its oxi action whitener, they were impressed with its ability to lift collar grime and food stains. This version doesn't include a whitener, but is perfect for shifting stains from darks and coloured clothing. With 55 per cent off, you won't find a cheaper deal on the 1.4kg pack elsewhere – even at the supermarket. The stain remover is also part of Amazon's 'You Buy. We Donate'campaign. For every two purchases of selected everyday essentials, Amazon will donate a third item to the Multibank charity, who distribute hygiene and household essentials to families in need across the UK. These baby wipes are made of 99.9 per cent water and a drop of fruit extract, so there'll be no mysterious chemicals on your baby's sensitive skin. We all know going through a pack of wipes a day becomes the norm with little ones around, but you can stock up on more than 700 wipes now for less than £25 from Amazon. Get 17 per cent off this XL pack of Dylon's black & dark detergent, which not only helps to stop your dark clothing from fading quite as quickly, but also revitalises existing items in just a few washes. The colour and sport detergents are also discounted at the moment too, if you find that you wash these more often. Now is the perfect time to stock up on batteries with lots of savings to be had, depending on the size that you need. There's currently 26 per cent off Duracell's bestselling Optimum AAA batteries, so you won't need to worry about running out anytime soon with this pack. You can currently get 30 per cent off this jumbo pack of laundry pods, designed to tackle set-in stains. If you've had enough last-minute supermarket runs to stock up on laundry supplies, you can set up a regular delivery of the pods through Amazon's subscribe and save service. This gives you a discount when you register, but remember to check every so often if you can get a better deal by switching brands. When is Amazon Prime Day 2025? The next Prime Day sale is underway. It kicked off on Tuesday, 8 July and will run until Friday (11 July). This is the first time Amazon has run a four-day sale, so there'll be plenty of time to shop deals on household essentials. What is Amazon Prime Day? Prime Day is Amazon's exclusive sale for its Prime members. It usually runs twice a year, once in the summer and again in the autumn before Black Friday sales begin. You can expect to find deals on beauty, laptops, kitchen appliances and everyday household essentials. Prime Day discounts are only available to Prime members. A membership typically costs £8.99 per month or £95 for the year, and if you're 18 to 22 years old, you can claim a 50 per cent discount. If you're yet to sign up for Prime, you can register for a 30-day free trial just before the sale starts. This gives you full access to all the Prime Day offers, and you can cancel for free before the membership fee kicks in.

Genuinely great value Amazon bulk buys you won't find cheaper anywhere – yes, we checked

If you enjoy shopping wisely, you probably already favour buying in bulk. Not only is it a great way to save money, but it is also very practical and clever, because if you ever realise you've run out of essentials like toilet roll, toothpaste, or body wash, there will be more in the cupboard so you're never caught short. Our go-to place for great value bulk buys? It's always Amazon, which has a wide range of exclusive multi-buys that you simply can't find anywhere else in your usual supermarket. And with Prime Day on the horizon (it starts on Tuesday, 8 June), there's never been a better time to restock your everyday household essentials, skincare favourites, snacks, and everything in between. Many of the early deals already live feature some of the cheapest prices we've seen so far this year, with big-name brands slashed in price, such as Nivea, Finish, Andrex and Colgate. While most bulk purchases might not be the most exciting products available, they are the kind of items that tend to increase in price and are essential to our daily lives. As a result, not only will your cupboards be full, but your bank balance will also thank you for grabbing one of these budget-friendly deals, freeing up some money for you to spend on hopefully something more exciting. To save you from sifting through hundreds of sale items, we've done the hard work and compiled the very best offers available, including price comparisons, so you can see how much money you're saving compared to shopping at other major retailers. Find everything from toothpaste and body wash to baby wipes and dishwasher tablets, all at a fraction of the price. Grab this twin pack of 83 dishwasher tablets (totalling 166 tablets) for a lot less on Amazon. For just one bag of 83, it usually costs £31 (though it is on sale right now for £12). 💰 Price comparison:At Ocado, one 83 pack is on offer for £13 reduced from £32, which is still more expensive than Amazon, while a pack of 120 tablets is £20 (down from £40). So, you can get 46 extra tablets for £2 more with this great value multipack. Toilet roll might not be the most exciting bargain, but there's no denying that bulk buying household essentials like this is a clever move. Not only will it save you money in the long term, but it will also prevent you from spending more on smaller packs at your local supermarket. 💰 Price comparison:At Asda (and most supermarkets) you'll find a four-pack of Andrex Gentle Clean Toilet Roll costs £2.48. You'd have to buy 11 packs to get 44 rolls, which adds up to a total of £27.28. Meanwhile, at Tesco, a pack of 24 Andrex Gentle Clean Toilet Tissue will cost you £11.75, so 48 rolls would cost you £23.50. To give a broader sense of bulk buying prices, Cheeky Panda's pack of 45 sustainable bamboo toilet rolls costs £32.50, while 48 rolls of Who Gives a Crap recycled toilet paper will set you back a massive £44. Amazon's also offering a solid saving on a massive 72-pack of Andrex - down from £37.50 to £27.42. It's a fab deal if you've got the storage space. Toothpaste can be very expensive, often costing up to £5 for a single tube. This offer provides six tubes of Colgate's best-selling Max Fresh Cooling Crystals Toothpaste at under £15 for six tubes. Shoppers say it's "good value for money" and "cost effective." 💰 Price comparison: Superdrug is selling a three-pack of this exact toothpaste for £9.99 (down from £15) – so for just a few pounds more, you can double the quantity from Amazon. Meanwhile, a single tube normally costs £3 at Boots and other retailers, while this multi-pack currently works out at just £2.40 per tube. Plus, it's super practical to have stocked up—especially if you have a family. This shea butter and vanilla scented body wash from Dove gently cleanses and deeply hydrates your skin, thanks to its nourishing formula. Shoppers say it leaves their skin "so soft" and is a "great deal." 💰 Price comparison: The only other retailer where you can purchase a six-pack is Debenhams, where it is much more costly at £18.99. This Amazon bulk buy works out at just £2 a bottle. At Boots you can also currently pick up individual bottles for £2 (reduced from £3). While at Ocado, a single bottle costs £3 (reduced from £4.50), so to buy six it would cost you £18. At Sainsbury's one bottle costs £4.50, which makes purchasing six a pricey £27. This pack includes 8 triple-layered kitchen rolls with 140 sheets per roll and features sheets that are 60% larger than standard kitchen roll sheets. They're excellent for soaking up spills and wiping surfaces, and if your household is anything like ours, they always run out quicker than you'd expect. 💰 Price comparison:At Sainsbury's and Morrisons, a single roll currently costs £3.50, so for eight packs you would need to spend £28. A three-pack alone would cost £7 at Ocado, so this deal offers a genuinely impressive saving. We've also spotted the same eight-pack price-matched at B&Q, but you'll have to pay for shipping - and you won't benefit from Amazon Prime's free and often next-day delivery. Scented with jojoba, vanilla, and almond oil, shoppers say this hand wash scent is 'long lasting and luxurious'. Its formula is also moisturising and gentle, making it perfect if you're aiming to replicate that hotel vibe. It comes in a pack of three and is available in various scents; however, this particular scent is the cheapest right now at £5.07, which works out at just £1.69 a bottle. 💰 Prime comparisonSainsbury's, Tesco and Boots are selling an individual bottle of this hand wash from Bayliss & Harding for £2.25 a bottle, so there's no denying this Amazon deal is epic value. This epic value pack of eight fabric conditioners is currently a bestseller on Amazon, boasting an impressive 82% five-star rating. It's infused with citrus and floral rose scents to keep your clothes soft and fresh-smelling after every wash. Shoppers agree it has a 'delightful scent and leaves laundry so soft,' while also helping to reduce wrinkles and make ironing easier. Customers also appreciate the large bottle size, with one noting it provides up to 100 washes. 💰 Price comparison: This Amazon saving works out to £1.98 a bottle. At Ocado and other retailers, a single bottle costs £2, so if you bought eight, it would cost £16. If you prefer you can also buy a massive 4.8L bottle of Comfort Fresh Blue Skies Fabric Conditioner - which provides up to 160 washes and sets you back £10.50. Amazon is a great place to shop if you're stocking up on food and drink ready to entertain this summer. This particular case of drinks lets you enjoy the classic, refreshing taste of Diet Coke, without the caffeine. 💰 Price comparison:Tesco currently offers the same deal but only for shoppers with a Clubcard (regular price £12). In comparison, Morrisons has it priced at £13.50, while Waitrose comes in slightly lower at £12. You can also purchase a 24-pack of Coca-Cola Original or Zero Sugar. It's always smart to keep a stash of batteries on hand - whether it's for emergencies or when an essential gadget (like the TV remote) suddenly dies. If you haven't explored Amazon Basics yet, it's well worth a look. Their products often offer better value than many leading brands. 💰 Price Comparison:A pack of 36 Duracell Plus AA Batteries now costs £23.99, down from £29.99. In comparison, a 24-pack of Energizer batteries costs £9, so this large 40-pack offers much better value. More Amazon Basic battery multi-packs are available, too, including 150 for £18.78, 200 for £23.94, and 300 for £34.29. Purchased over 30,000 times in the past month, these Fairy Non Bio Pods remove clothing stains and keep colours vibrant. Highly rated, shoppers say they're a "game-changer", "reliable" and offer a "reassuring clean" without harsh chemicals. You get a two-pack of 60 capsules each, which means you get 120 washes in total. 💰 Price comparison:A pack of just 44 capsules typically costs £13 at supermarkets, so you would need three packs to exceed 120 capsules, which would cost £39. At Ocado, you can find a pack of 108 pods for £23 (usually £27), while a pack of 100 at Tesco will set you back £23. Need to restock your hand wash stash? This set from Carex includes six bottles, costing just 98p each, which is very cost-efficient - especially if you always need a lot of antibacterial hand wash for a family and multiple bathrooms. Price comparison: At Ocado, Tesco and Sainsbury's, a single bottle of this Carex hand wash costs £1.50 – to match Amazon's offering of six bottles, it would set you back £9. For those who own a Flash Power Mop, this is a fantastic deal on the refill detergent used to keep your floors clean and sparkling. It includes four 1.25-litre bottles, with a fresh citrus scent that is sure to leave a lovely clean house fresh smell for ages. 💰 Price Comparison:A single bottle of this floor cleaner usually costs £4.30 at Ocado, £4 at Sainsbury's and Waitrose, and £3.84 at Asda – which means buying four bottles would cost a minimum of £15.36 (plus postage). If you have kids or grandkids, you'll know how quickly a pack of baby wipes can be used up, so this affordable bulk purchase, which includes a pack of four containing 240 wipes in total, will be very handy. 💰 Price comparison:This Amazon saving works out at £2.18 per pack. At Boots, the same four pack with 240 wipes will cost you £11, while at Superdrug, a single pack of 60 costs £2.99, so you'd need four packs, which total £12 (plus postage). This duo pack offers a highly-rated Olay day and night cream for under £15, making it a fantastic beauty bargain in our eyes. It's suitable for all skin types and will leave your complexion smoother, softer, and radiant - and our shopping writers really rate it. Your skincare routine covered in one go and at a bargain price. ✅ This item has been tried and tested by the Yahoo UK team - read our full review here. 💰 Price comparison:At Boots and Ocado, just the Olay Total Effects Day Cream SPF15 alone will cost you £16.50, while Superdrug will set you back £16.49. The night cream costs the same, so if you were to buy each separately, it would set you back £33, making this a super beauty bargain. Snack bars and protein bars are another smart buy in bulk—especially if you go through them quickly. Now is the perfect time to refresh your snack cupboard, with plenty of deals available from brands like Nakd, Grenade, Eat Natural, Trek, and more. That said, this Nature Valley bulk buy stands out as one of the most affordable options, giving you 18 bars of their delicious Crunchy Oats & Honey bars at a seriously budget-friendly price. 💰 Price comparison: Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Ocado are currently selling a pack of five for £2.50. To get to 18 bars, you would need to buy four packs for £10, so this Amazon deal is unbeatable. Over 20,000 shoppers have purchased this four-pack of Lucozade Energy Orange multiple times, and when you look at the value, it's easy to see why. 💰 Price comparison: At Tesco and Morrisons, the same 4-pack of Lucozade Energy Orange currently retails for £3.25. Meanwhile, a single bottle usually costs around £1.25 at most supermarkets—so this is a great-value deal if you're a Lucozade fan. This bundle of Nivea shower cream has been a popular buy with shoppers over the last month on Amazon, and for good reason – it costs just £3.60 for three, working out at just £1.20 a bottle. The formula is also enriched with Vitamin C and E for smooth, hydrated skin. 💰Price comparisonAt Boots, the same bottle of body wash is marginally more expensive at £1.30. However, Superdrug is selling it for £2.55, equating to £7.65 for three. You can find a similar deal to Amazon at Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Tesco, where one bottle is also £1.20, but this doesn't take into account the free next-day delivery that Amazon offers if you're a Prime member. Alcohol bulk packs, from beer to Pimm's, are another smart buy to look out for on Amazon, especially if you're planning to stock up ahead of summer entertaining. Whether you're hosting BBQs, garden parties, or simply want to keep your drinks shelf well-stocked, now's a great time to grab some great-value multipacks while they're on offer. 💰Price comparison:At Morrisons, the same pack costs £19, while at Tesco it is £17.99. Currently, you can get it at ASDA for the reduced price of £14.

The latest Andrex advert is a life-changing masterpiece

If the latest Andrex TV advert had come along 50 years ago, it would have changed my life. It would have made my schooldays more enjoyable and might even have helped me to perform better academically. Honestly, I think it's a gamechanger. It begins, unpromisingly, with a schoolboy breaking wind in class. What puerile nonsense is this, I thought. Another boy turns to look at him and sniffs derisively. So far, so daft. But then up pops a killer statistic: 76% of kids hold their poo at school. And all of a sudden we're into public information film territory and I am transported back half a century to Hagley primary school where, between the ages of five and nine, I was definitely among the 76% of poo-holders. Middle school, too. Hell, even high school probably. I doubt I, er, went on school premises more than half a dozen times, all in. This can't have done me much good. As I've (over) shared before, at my school going into a cubicle to do what had to be done became a big deal. Word would go around the playground that some poor lad's fear and shame had been trumped by the urgency of his need to go, and there would be a rush to the boys' bogs to make it a spectator event. I have no idea what this was all about, or whether it happened anywhere else. As with most bad things, I suspect it was a boy thing, as girls always used cubicles anyway, so for them there was no great fuss. I say it again – if only this advert had come along back then. What happens is that the Andrex puppy appears in this kid's classroom. It looks up at the lad and gives him the nod. The lad nods back, stands up, parps once more and, toilet roll in hand, proceeds in triumph to the lav. In the nodding of a dog, all his shame has evaporated more quickly than any smell he generated. As he makes his way to where he's going, the kids salute this miracle of reframing by banging their desks and cheering. Someone fist-bumps him. And then he's in there, closing the door behind him, at which point, like a choir of angels, the whole school intones the word 'poo' in harmony. There's so much to unpick here. I've always bemoaned the absurdity of advertising something as impossibly mundane as toilet tissue. I mean, puppies running around unravelling the stuff and so on. Drivel. But now they've come up with this work of genius. In scraping the bottom of the barrel in search of something, anything, new to say about bog paper, they've found gold down there. It's telling that I only came across this masterpiece by accident as I mistimed some fast-forwarding trying to dodge an ad break on Sky Max. Does anyone watch TV ads any more? They can't do, or I'm sure this one, given the subject matter, would have caused a bit of a sensation. Unless, of course, it's just me. I must say that, as I rolled about laughing in delight at it, my family did look at me with more concern than usual. I'm now wondering what else I've been missing. What other works of advertising art have I fast-forwarded past? Just as if I've come across some music I love for the first time and now have to listen to everything that artist's ever done, I've started on Andrex's back catalogue. And, to my delight, there's one just as good from last year tackling the taboo of the office poo, with a subplot concerning the taking of reading matter in with you. Please tell me there's a box set of these things somewhere, with bonus features, outtakes, director's commentary and so on. And until further notice, I'll be buying no other brand of toilet tissue. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation. Adrian Chiles is a Guardian columnist Do you have an opinion on the issues raised in this article? Best deals in Amazon's first Everyday Essentials sale, from toilet roll to dishwasher tablets

Whether you need to replenish your cleaning essentials like dishwasher tablets or laundry detergent, or replace your bathroom stash of body wash and cleanser, there are plenty of deals on offer in Amazon's Everyday Essentials sale. This is the first time the online retailer has run a sale focused on everyday items, and some of our favourite tried and tested products have seen big discounts. To save you combing through the deals, we've hand-picked the best offers. On top of that, we've taken the time to compare Amazon's deal prices with supermarkets, so we can tell you if you're actually making a saving. The offers are available until Tuesday 27 May 2025, so you've got just under a week to grab a discount. If you miss out, or you're already stocked up on everyday essentials, I've also predicted the best Prime Day deals to expect on household items. You can bookmark that page and check back closer to the mid-July sale to see the best deals on cleaning, kitchen and bathroom essentials. Here's our pick of the best deals: Andrex ultimate quilts toilet paper 24 pack: Was £18, now £12.31, Now's a good time to replenish your toilet roll supply with this Amazon deal on Andrex's ultimate quilts loo roll. With a 32 per cent reduction, it's the lowest the 24-pack has ever been at the online retailer, and it's cheaper than the prices you'll find on your weekly shop. The online retailer has also slashed the price of dishwasher tablets in its Everyday Essentials sale, including this jumbo pack of Finish tablets. A pack this size will set you back £19 at Ocado right now, so this is a decent saving on the household staple. As with many everyday items on Amazon, subscribing to a regular delivery can also help you save. This laundry detergent is formulated for sensitive skin, so it doesn't contain any fragrance, enzymes or colouring. Our tester of the best laundry detergents, Zoe, found that 'it tackled food stains, wet towels and sweaty sports kit with ease.' Though odourless, it still managed to neutralise the smell of sweat left on her gym kit. A double-pack of the detergent has been reduced by a huge 45 per cent at Amazon, so now's the perfect time to stock up. Grind is one of our favourite coffee brands for an at-home brew, with its house blend making our round-up of the best coffee subscription services. The house blend is made from a blend of Colombian and Brazilian beans, and makes a delicious flat white. You can save 20 per cent on the coffee beans in Amazon's sale on everyday essentials, and you won't currently find it cheaper elsewhere. We're big fans of Faith in Nature's vegan shampoo and conditioner, so we're pleased to see its body wash reduced in the sale. It contains oat extract, designed to soothe skin, as well as anti-inflammatory limeflower. It's a modest saving, but it's the cheapest price for this body wash right now. CeraVe's hydrating cleaner topped our list of the best CeraVe products, and for good reason. Beauty writer Lucy Partington said it 'works to remove makeup and cleanses quickly and easily' without drying out your skin. Its combination of ceramides and hyaluronic acid helps skin to retain moisture, and it's suitable for all skin types. Right now, you can save 30 per cent on the cleanser in Amazon's Everyday Essentials sale. WaterWipes's products are made of 99.9 per cent water and a little bit of fruit extract, so they suit sensitive skin. We know how quickly wipes disappear when you've got kids around, so now's a good time to top up your stash with this Amazon deal on a huge 720-pack. We never seem to have batteries handy when we actually need them, so now's a good time to buy some back-ups with this Amazon deal. You can save 17 per cent on this 18-pack of Duracell Plus, so there'll be plenty to keep the TV remote, kids' toys and more running, with some still to spare.
