SINGAPORE - A 39-year-old man was arrested for driving while under the influence of a drug or an intoxicating substance after crashing into a road divider and driving his car dangerously along Race Course Road on June 29.
The police said they were alerted to the incident along Race Course Road towards Tessensohn Road at about 11.05pm . No injuries were reported, they added.
The car was believed to have skidded, said the police.
In a video of the incident, circulated on messaging platforms before being posted on social media , a white Toyota C-HR Hybrid seems to have driven onto a road divider. A section of the road divider appears to have been dislodged.
The car then reverses onto the road, crashes through another section of the road divider and lands in the opposite lane.
The car continues to reverse, mounts a pavement and narrowly misses a tree trunk before crashing into a barricade and a bicycle on the side of a grass patch.
The car in the video is owned by M Label Rental, said Mr Andy Yeo, an employee of the rental company.

He said the driver had just signed a six-month lease for the car in June.
Mr Yeo, 28, told The Straits Times that his car rental company was not aware of the accident until the morning of July 2, when a video of the incident was shared with him and his colleagues on WhatsApp.
'I was shocked, because the driver just took the car from us last month. We don't know what damage there is to the car. We will have to wait for the police to investigate first.'
Mr Yeo said the company called the driver's wife - listed as his emergency contact in their records - and she said he has been missing for two days.
Police said investigations are ongoing.
