Bringing our long-running plays back here, all in one week, feels like a celebration — not just of Ansh, but of every actor, technician, and audience member who has kept the fire of live theatre alive. It is our way of coming home and saying thank you.' The festival began on July 8 with Sir Premacha Kai Karaicha , and today (July 9) it will stage Manushya . Over the next few days, the schedule includes Patni and Piyakkad . On Sunday, July 13, the festival will feature Natyacharcha — a conversation between Makarand Deshpande and Naseeruddin Shah — from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The same evening will see two shows of Sir Sir Sarla . Deshpande added, 'The week promises a rich mosaic of performances, each evening curated to reflect the artistic vision that Ansh has cultivated over the years — bold, heartfelt, and soul-stirring. It is a tribute to Ansh's legacy, but also a testament to the enduring magic of theatre.'

One of Wales' best burger restaurants announce opening date in Cardiff It will become its fifth Welsh location Some of the burgers on offer at Burger Boyz (Image: Burger Boyz ) One of south Wales's most loved burger restaurants is opening a new location in Cardiff. Burger Boyz has announced it will be arriving in the capital on Friday, July 18. It will be located at Cowbridge Road east in the Canton area of the city, within the same unit Ansh once traded. The business was launched by school mates Marcin Sadlos and Jack Phillips back in 2021, who quit their full-time jobs in the engineering industry after finding success pursuing a career in the culinary world, first buying a food truck, before taking over the kitchen at The Red Lion pub in Port Talbot. They went on to secure a spot at Newport Market, before going on to open a restaurant in Port Talbot, and are also based at Albert Hall in Swansea. For the latest restaurant reviews, sign up to our food and drink newsletter here . They also bought a food truck which is used to attend events, called The Truck Norris, named after its best-selling burger the Chuck Norris. The truck has had a presence at Bridgend designer outlet for the last year. Speaking ahead of the opening of their new location, Mr Sadlos said: "It's an exciting time. Cardiff is a site that we've wanted to open for a while now. Article continues below "We were looking for the right opportunity. "When Ansh decided to close, we got in touch with the landlords and decided to take it over." The restaurant's menu consists of seven different burgers, along with loaded fries and sides, and has gained a great reputation for the quality of its food. We tried it ourselves. You can read about that by clicking here. It has been visited by professional competitive eaters at its Port Talbot restaurant, including Randy Santel, Katina Eats Kilos, Joel Hansen (modelvsfood) and Leah Shutkever. Mr Sadlos added: "We are going to be serving the same menu that people are used to, and we are actually working on developing a little prep kitchen where we can bring in some smoked meats and some more American-style barbecue items. Article continues below "That will be for down the line and not for opening. "It will be a few months down the line once we have settled."

An upset in Franklin Lakes Council race. See the primary election results
FRANKLIN LAKES — In yet another stunning primary upset, Republican voters elected challengers over party-endorsed candidates to run for two three-year Borough Council seats in November. Winning the Republican primary on June 10 were retired Superior Court Judge Joseph S. Conte with 780 votes and former elementary school board member Joseph Rosano with 742 votes. Incumbent Joel Ansh, seeking his second term, came in third with 621 votes and his running mate Michael Kazimir, came in fourth with 605 votes. "I'm very happy that I was able to win my first election," Conte said Wednesday. "I think I've got the legal background and knowledge of land use to be of assistance, but I thank all the voters for having confidence in me." Rosano said they are "grateful for our community's support over the past weeks." The borough's "Republicans turned out in force for this primary and we hear their message," Rosano said. "We will be respectful and transparent council members." It is the fourth year the Republican-dominated borough has faced a primary challenge. Ansh and running mate Ardith Cardenas began the challenge in 2022 when they were the surprise candidates nominated by the GOP Municipal Committee, leaving three-term incumbents Joseph Cadicina and Ann Swist to run unsuccessfully on an alternate GOP line. Cardenas did not seek reelection with Ansh. CONTESTED PRIMARY 4 Franklin Lakes Republican council candidates to face off again on June 10 In 2023, the Municipal Committee again skipped the incumbent, Gail Kelly, seeking her second term, in favor of Planning Board Chairman Gary Sheppard to run with incumbent Dennis Bonagura seeking his third term. In a surprise split, voters elected Kelly and Sheppard. In 2024, Cadicina made another unsuccessful attempt at a fourth term running in the primary against GOP Municipal Committee nominees Councilwoman Michele DeLuccia and newcomer Constantine "Dean" Skamas. Anupamaa actor Varun Kasturia: Emotions are natural, but the mindset should always be clear
Varun Kasturia is currently seen as Ansh in Rajan Shahi's Anupama, says though he likes to mingle with his fellow co-actors, his first priority is always his craft. He said, 'When you spend long hours on set, you end up forming bonds with your co-actors. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Sometimes those bonds turn into deep friendships, and occasionally, even love. But I believe it really depends on the person. ' 'You can find a partner anywhere, anytime—it doesn't necessarily have to be at work. For me, when I'm on set, my focus is completely on the work. That's my priority. Emotions are natural, but the mindset should always be clear: we're here to tell a story, to give our best to the craft. Everything else is secondary,' he added. He agrees that with such long shooting hours, the set becomes an actor's second home. He said, 'Daily soap actors are mainly one-take actors, and with the kind of long hours we work, the set truly becomes a second home. For me, it's not just a place of work—it's where I eat, rest, think, and live a big part of my life.' 'I have my whole eating routine set up here, from my morning coffee to my meals throughout the day. Whether I'm at home or on set, my routine stays the same—that consistency keeps me grounded. My makeup room is like my personal zone—I keep it cozy, and it's where I get into character, reset between shots, and sometimes even steal a moment of silence. Over time, everything from the lights to the floor marks starts to feel like part of your everyday life. It's a rhythm, and you begin to flow with it,' Varun concluded.
