NBI rescues child from online exploitation in Davao Oriental
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Thursday announced the rescue of a minor from exploitation in Banaybanay, Davao Oriental.
According to the NBI, the victim was turned over to social workers for supervision and care. The bureau said she was able to identify the facilitators involved in the crime.
The operation stemmed from an investigation of an account named 'Ate Bibian' which was supplying child sexual abuse or exploitation materials (CSAEM) to a certain 'Jacky.'
Following this information, the agents identified the whereabouts of the victim and launched a rescue operation.
The agents also arrested Jacky for violating the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-CSAEM Act.
