Save more than £100 on a best-selling Shark vacuum in Amazon flash deal

The Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap has been reduced from £279.99 to £179.51 Amazon has cut the price of a top-selling Shark vacuum cleaner in a fresh deal. Shark's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner with Anti Hair Wrap has dropped from £279.99 to £179 for a limited time only – that works out as a saving of 36%. The Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner is currently leading the pack in Amazon's Stick Vacuums and Electric Brooms category, with more than 1,000 units shifted in the past month alone. Shark's own-brand website also rolled out an offer on the same device, where it was on sale for £249.99. However, the cleaner is currently out of stock on Shark's website and isn't available to buy right now. The vacuum cleaner is perfect for pet-friendly homes as it features Shark's signature Anti Hair Wrap Technology, engineered to separate and remove both long and short hair from the motorised brush-roll during cleaning, reports Devon Live. It has two floor modes for tackling carpet and hard floors, and is equipped with bright LED headlights in the floorhead to illuminate hidden dirt. It can operate for up to 40 minutes, with a battery light indicator showing how much charge remains, while its flexible wand allows for easier cleaning underneath furniture. The attachments include a crevice tool, a multi-surface tool and a pet tool. The cleaner has earned a stellar 4.5-star rating from more than 5,000 Amazon reviews – 91% of which are either awarded four or five stars. Shark's Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner matches Dyson's V11 Advanced in performance, which retails at a steeper £349.99 (usually £429.99), yet comes with a complimentary 'Floor Dok' valued at £100. Another option is Hoover's 4.4-star rated HF4 Cordless Vacuum, boasting anti-hair wrap technology and a pet tool, for £169, which was £249. But for Amazon shoppers, the Shark stick vacuum takes the cake for being 'easy to use' and having 'excellent suction'. Another customer said: "Very impressed. Most of my home is carpeted and previous cordless models have been pretty useless." They continued: "I find this to be very good suction, easy to manoeuvre and I like how it will automatically change to hard floors in kitchen and bathroom. It lasted 45 minutes on a full charge and not too heavy for me at 76 – can carry upstairs easily." Another commented: "Bought this to replace a Dyson cordless. My daughter has long hair and we were forever cutting this off the Dyson brush roller but so far we haven't had any hair stuck on the Shark roller. On hard floors it picks up the larger items that the Dyson wouldn't." The same customer pinpointed a drawback, adding: "The only slight negative compared to the Dyson is it doesn't quite clean as close to the edge as the Dyson, but I find the tools much easier to remove and fit." A final shopper concluded: "Easy to use with plenty of suction power to remove dog and cat hairs off carpets. An excellent vacuum. It is well balanced, has excellent suction and certainly picks up the dirt and dog hair well. "My first thought was that it seemed heavy, but it is well balanced and easy to use. It got dog hair out of my carpet, I didn't even realise was there. A really good vacuum."

It cleans fine, with much reduced hair wrap, but honestly it doesn't perform any better than my existing (and aging) gtech.' Another customer pointed out the lack of clear information on suction power, stating: 'Not as powerful as the corded version, and annoyingly many retailers don't clearly mention suction power, making it hard to find info about how strong it really is.' ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! 'I tried Hoover's £109 cordless vacuum cleaner that beats out Shark's £250 model'

One of the major perks of this job is the chance to test out a variety of gadgets and gizmos, particularly when they're as essential to the household as a vacuum cleaner. I've been trialling the Hoover HF9 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner With Anti Hair Wrap, which has just seen its price slashed from £249 to £109 with the discount code POWERFUL. This 56% reduction makes it £34 cheaper than Amazon's listed price (£143) and a whopping £140.99 less than Shark's Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum (£249.99). Hoover claims that the HF9 provides the 'perfect balance of suction power and effective run time for the whole house'. The company touts 'double the suction power' compared to some 'popular competitors', and the device features Anti-Twist technology, which – much like Shark's Anti Hair Wrap – automatically removes hair from the brush bar during cleaning. This made it the perfect choice for our home, given our little dog's constant shedding necessitates daily vacuuming. The Hoover comes with three modes – Hard Floor, Carpet and Turbo – which adjust the suction power according to different surfaces. The Carpet and Turbo modes are quite noisy, but this is to be expected given the increased suction power and is a small price to pay considering the ability to remove dirt embedded in the carpet. I've come across some customer reviews describing the HF9 as too heavy – I'd characterise it as sturdy. It certainly carries some heft, but this is more than compensated for by its ease of manoeuvrability, reports the Mirror. It sails smoothly over our laminate flooring, and the flexible brush head allows for easy cleaning in various directions, be it around table legs, along skirting boards or into corners. However, those who find lifting heavy items challenging might strain if using it for extended periods. The vacuum's battery can endure for 30 minutes – ample time for a comprehensive clean of our modest three-bedroom house – with the LED display indicating the remaining battery life in minutes to prevent any surprises. I managed to clean the house from top to bottom with plenty of battery to spare and found no missed debris during a quick post-hoover inspection, so it certainly scores points there. For me, though, the standout feature of the Hoover HF9 is the LED lights on the brush head. Considering myself rather neat and tidy, I was taken aback when the lights revealed all the dust and dog hair that had escaped my old Dyson. This revelation allowed me to revisit and thoroughly clean all the hidden spots, transforming it into a handheld vacuum with the included crevice tool to tackle tricky areas like cabinet sides or stair cracks. I'm comparing this vacuum to our Dyson Cyclone V10, which boasts double the Hoover's runtime, but at £299.99, it's nearly triple the price. Our reliable old Dyson served us well, but we had to retire it when it started scratching the floor, resorting back to a traditional broom. The Hoover, with its rubber wheels, has thankfully allowed me to abandon the broom and save considerable time by quickly running it around the house each day. The freestanding 'Park and Go' feature is another clever addition I didn't realise I needed; it's incredibly convenient to be able to leave the vacuum standing on its own while moving obstacles – like the dog bed or a line of trainers. Ultimately, the Hoover HF9 may not outshine premium competitors like Shark and Dyson, but it's certainly just as effective and therefore the obvious choice considering its significantly lower price. Many of its features seem designed for simplicity – in a positive sense. It's incredibly easy to assemble within seconds, simply slot the three parts together and off you go. Emptying the dustbin is equally uncomplicated, accomplished literally at the push of a button. Given the substantial price difference compared to its main rivals, the vacuum HF9 more than meets the mark for cleaning dust, dirt and – crucially for our household – dog hair. So much so that it raises the question, why spend hundreds on a Shark or Dyson when this £109 vacuum does the job perfectly well?

'My new Hoover vacuum is £190 cheaper than Dyson with feature I can't live without'

The Hoover HF9 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner With Anti Hair Wrap is more than half price, beating rival deals from Amazon and Shark One of the major perks of this job is the chance to test various gadgets and gizmos, particularly when they're household essentials like a vacuum cleaner. I've been using the Hoover HF9 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner With Anti Hair Wrap, which has just seen a price drop from £249 to £109 with the discount code POWERFUL. This 56% discount makes it £35.99 cheaper than Amazon 's asking price (£144.99) and £138.49 less than Shark's Anti Hair Wrap Cordless Vacuum (£247.49). Hoover claims that the HF9 provides the 'perfect balance of suction power and effective run time for the whole house'. It's said to have 'double the suction power' compared to some 'popular competitors' and features Anti-Twist technology, which – much like Shark's Anti Hair Wrap – automatically removes hair from the brush bar as it cleans. This made it the perfect choice for our home, given our little dog is constantly shedding to the point where we need to vacuum daily. The vacuum comes with three modes – Hard Floor, Carpet and Turbo – which adjust the suction power for different surfaces. The Carpet and Turbo modes are quite loud but that's not surprising considering the extra suction power and is worth it given the ability to remove dirt embedded in the carpet. I've read some reviews from customers who found the HF9 too heavy – I'd describe it as robust. It certainly carries some weight, but this is more than compensated for by how easy it is to manoeuvre, reports the Mirror. It glides effortlessly over our laminate floors and the flexible brush head means it's easy to clean in different directions, whether that's around table legs, along skirting boards or into corners. However, those who struggle with lifting heavy objects may find themselves straining if using it for extended periods. The Hoover's battery can last for 30 minutes – more than enough for a thorough clean of our modest three-bed house – with the LED display showing how much battery life is left in minutes so you're not caught short. I cleaned the house from top to bottom with plenty of battery remaining and couldn't find any bits of debris I'd missed when performing a little post-Hoover inspection, so it's a winner on that front. But for me, the standout feature of the Hoover HF9 is the LED lights in the brush head. I consider myself pretty clean and tidy, so I was shocked when the lights illuminated all the dust and dog hair I'd missed when using our old Dyson. This allowed me to go back and really get into all the nooks-and-crannies for a more thorough, deep clean, converting it into a handled vacuum with the included crevice tool to tackle tricky areas like the sides of cabinets or cracks of the stairs. I'm comparing the vacuum to our Dyson Cyclone V10, which offers double the runtime of the Hoover, but at £299.99 it's almost three times the cost. Our once-reliable Dyson had a good innings, but we had to stop using it when it started scratching the floor and revert to an old-fashioned broom. The Hoover has rubbery wheels, so I've finally been able to ditch the broom and now save so much time by giving it a quick run around the house each day. The free-standing 'Park and Go' feature is another clever feature I now can't live without; it's incredibly handy being able to leave the vacuum standing unaided when moving objects out of the way – such as the dog bed or a row of trainers. Ultimately, the Hoover HF9 may not stand head-and-shoulders above premium rivals like Shark and Dyson, but it's easily just as good and therefore the clear winner considering it's so much cheaper. Many of its features appear to be designed for simplicity – in a good way. It's incredibly simple to assemble within seconds, simply slot the three parts together and away you go. Emptying the dustbin is equally straightforward and done literally at the press of a button. Given the huge price difference compared to its biggest rivals, the Hoover HF9 is more than adequate for cleaning dust, dirt and – most importantly for our house – dog hair. So much so that it begs the question, why fork out hundreds on a Shark or Dyson when this £109 vacuum does the job perfectly well?
