This actor was once bigger star than Amitabh Bachchan, Jeetendra, Dharmendra, married 4 times, still died alone, his name was...

Whenever we talk about the 70s, 80s, and 90s of Bollywood, a bunch of names as superstars including Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Jeetendra, Shah Rukh Khan, or Hrithik Roshan often cross our minds. However, what if we tell you that there was an actor who was above all of these celebs in terms of name and fame? Not just that, he even left behind Dharmendra in good looks. The star in discussion started his journey at a young age of 4 and paved his path in Indian cinema. Not just his professional life, his personal life also made headlines and made people more and more curious about him. If you are wondering who this actor is that we are discussing, then let us tell you—he is the popular and late actor Vinod Mehra. Vinod Mehra debuted in the movie Raagini (1958) as a child artist. He later transitioned into adult roles, making his adult debut in Ek Thi Reeta (1971). In his career, Mehra acted in over 100 films from the 1970s through to his death in 1990. Vinod featured in various movies. His major breakthrough came in 1972 with the film Anuraag. While Mehra's professional life always made headlines, his personal life remained under public scrutiny. The actor was linked with many actresses, among whom one very prominent name was Rekha. As much as he enjoyed success on screen, he was far from peace in real life. Vinod Mehra's name kept getting linked with Rekha. There were also rumours that he and Rekha were married. But both of them never spoke openly on this issue. Later, Vinod Mehra's link-up news with actress Bindiya Goswami also made headlines. There have also been speculations that Vinod Mehra had married Bindiya Goswami. However, nothing was ever confirmed. Reports claim that Vinod Mehra was married four times. His wives were Meena Broca, Bindiya Goswami, Kiran Mehra, and Neeta Mehta. Despite having his name linked with some leading actresses, Mehra's life remained aloof. He never found his soulmate. And in 1990, shocking news broke when it was revealed that Mehra had passed away at the age of 45 due to a heart attack.
