Apeejay Surrendra Park inks MoU with Katsons Hotel to lease, operate 138 rooms
Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels said it has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Katsons Hotel & developer and Ved Parkash Kataria to acquire on lease and manage properties located in Goa, Manali, Shimla, and Dharamshala. The MoU covers a 12-year lease arrangement for all four properties, which together comprise a total of 138 rooms, 42 in Goa, 24 each in Manali and Shimla, and 48 in Dharamshala. The properties will be operated under the companys hospitality brand. As per the MoU, the properties in Goa and Dharamshala are expected to be operational within 60 days following the execution of definitive lease agreements. The properties in Manali and Shimla are expected to become operational within 90 days. Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels is primarily engaged in the business of owning, operating and managing hotels in India under the names The Park Hotels, The Park collection and Zone by the Park. The companys consolidated net profit rose 44% to Rs 26.56 crore on 16.3% increase in revenue from operations to Rs 177.32 crore in Q4 FY25 over Q4 FY24. Shares of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels rose 0.74% to Rs 162.65 on the BSE.

Demand is being driven by increasing wealth in emerging markets, especially in India. Priya Paul, chairperson of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, which operates a chain of luxury boutique hotels in India, is hoping to capitalise on this trend, saying that she plans to 'double' the number of properties offered by the company over the next five years. Apeejay Surrendra Park rises after acquiring 90% stake in Zillion Hotels
Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels added 1.62% to Rs 157 after the company announced the signing of binding memorandum of understanding for acquisition of 90% stake of Zillion Hotels and Resorts from its existing shareholders The existing shareholders of Zillion Hotels are Handa Family and Nair Family. Zillion Hotels and Resorts is in the business of owning and operating the Z Luxury Residences, including 62 service residences and food & beverage facilities located at 29/1 J R Mhatre Road opp Iris Park Juhu, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, 400049. The said stake has been acquired for a cash consideration of Rs 209.25 crore. "Consequent to the aforesaid acquisition, Zillion Hotels and Resorts will become a subsidiary of the company, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels said in a statement. Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels (ASPHL) is a part of the diversified Apeejay Surrendra Group, based in Kolkata. The company has seven owned luxury boutique hotels, located across Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Navi Mumbai, New Delhi and Vizag. The company has four leased hotels with 244 rooms and has management contracts for 22 operational properties in various locations with a total inventory of 1,050 rooms. It also runs a chain of bakery and confectionary items, named Flury's, through 82 outlets as of May 2024.
