Apple's Treating Prime Day Shoppers, M3 iPad Air With 2 Years of AppleCare+ Hits All-Time Low

Amazon's usually pretty egalitarian with its great deals, but every so often one pops up that is specifically tagged for Prime members only. But those exclusives are usually worth the price of admission, like this one that takes 21% off one of Apple's very best iPad models, the M3-powered 11-inch Wi-Fi iPad Air, with two years of AppleCare+ coverage tacked on as another incentive. This version of the iPad Air is the most versatile and formidable version yet of Apple's tablet, with the M3 chip driving all of its many features including Apple Intelligence, the AI system that's integrated into the tablet for maximum productivity. Apple's trademark Liquid Retina display, touch ID, super-fast Wi-Fi 6E, and the updated USB-C charging port are just a small part of the M3 iPad Air's appeal. See at Amazon The many elite features of the M3 iPad Air aside — and we'll get back to those — the hidden gem in this Prime Day deal is the two years of AppleCare+ coverage that comes with it. AppleCare+ is one of the best and most comprehensive protection and support packages offered by any major tech manufacturer, with coverage for mishaps from cracked display or battery issues. This Prime Day special AppleCare+ package even includes coverage for one Apple Pencil and one Apple-branded keyboard like the Magic Keyboard if you choose to add them to the purchase. That's also a definite recommendation, as the Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard fully transform an already powerful tablet into a laptop-like productivity machine and a note-taking and artistic creative powerhouse. The M3 chip is the true superstar of the iPad Air, driving the highly intuitive and user-friendly iPadOS that allows users to run multiple apps at once time, including Apple's core apps like Safari, Messages, Keynote, and more. There are over a million apps that were created specifically for the iPad, and while you won't be able to use them all, the 128GB of storage built into the 11-inch iPad Air will allow you to pack it full of as many productivity and streaming apps and games as you need. Prime membership is your ticket to this exclusive Prime Day deal bringing you the 11-inch M3 iPad Air and two years of AppleCare+ coverage for the great price of just $539, a 21% discount that saves you $139. Discover the power of the M3 chip and Apple Intelligence with this great deal, and relax knowing you have two years of comprehensive coverage and service from Apple. See at Amazon

The 11-inch M3 iPad Air is cheaper than ever on Prime Day

One of the best Prime Day deals brings the price of an 11-inch M3 iPad Air (128GB Wi-Fi) with two years of AppleCare Plus down to an all-time low price of $538.99 ($139 off) at Amazon. Here's why this deal is so good: AppleCare Plus normally costs $50 per year, but you're getting two years of it for just $58. Without AppleCare added on, this tablet is $479.99, but we really think you ought to opt for the extended warranty option. For folks who need more storage, Amazon is offering a $100 discount on 512GB and 1TB versions of the M3 iPad Air, with two years of AppleCare Plus, to non-Prime members. The 11-inch M3 iPad Air, Apple's latest midrange tablet, is an excellent choice for most people, and this Prime Day deal includes two years of AppleCare Plus. The 11-inch M3 iPad Air is so good that The Verge's very own editor-at-large, David Pierce, called it 'the best long-term iPad' in our buying guide for the best iPads. It's powerful enough to handle tasks like video, photo, and audio editing, and it supports Apple Intelligence features — all without breaking a sweat. It's still a good choice for more core iPad duties like reading, sketching (the Apple Pencil Pro is currently $30 off at Amazon), and watching videos. Its Touch ID fingerprint reader allows you to unlock the tablet without entering a password every time, and its 12-megapixel front and rear cameras are solid for video calls or snapping a quick picture. The M3 iPad Air will become an even better laptop replacement when new windowing and multitasking features are released as part of iPadOS 26 this fall. If you don't need that level of performance or if you want a tablet that's more portable, a seventh-generation iPad Mini (128GB Wi-Fi) is also at an all-time low price of $379 ($120 off) at Amazon. The iPad Mini has an 8.3-inch display and runs on Apple's iPhone-class A17 Pro processor, but it's still capable of running Apple Intelligence features and iPadOS 26's productivity features. Google adds one-time Preferred Care payment option for Pixel devices

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. Google is beginning to offer one-time payment options for Preferred Care plans. These plans were previously only available for Fitbit products, but can now be purchased for new orders of Pixel phones, tablets, and watches. The one-time fee nets buyers Preferred Care coverage for two years at a discount compared to the subscription cost. Google is changing its insurance partner for Preferred Care plans as of today, Feb. 24, and is adding a new payment option as part of the move. The company updated its official support page with the new insurance provider, as well as the one-time payment option that covers a Pixel phone, tablet, or watch for two years (via Android Authority). Previously, all Pixel devices had to be protected with Preferred Care via a subscription. Google's Preferred Care plans are a means of insuring a Pixel or Fitbit device, just like AppleCare Plus or Samsung Care. Starting today, there are two different ways of purchasing a Preferred Care plan. You can either insure the device for two years with a one-time payment, or choose a monthly subscription for up to 60 months of total coverage. In the event your screen is cracked, you'll pay $29 for a repair or up to $129 for a replacement. The new offering coincides with a notice that Google changed its insurance provider for Preferred Care: "If your device is shipped on or after February 24, 2025, your Service Contract Provider will be Asurion Warranty Protection Services, LLC, or one of its affiliates," the company explains in the support document. "If your device is shipped prior to February 24, 2025, your Service Contract Provider will be Assurant." The only apparent consumer-facing change as part of the switch is the addition of the one-time payment option. Like the monthly plan, you can either add a plan during checkout at the Google Store or within 30 days of your purchase. The prices for the two-year Preferred Care plans are as follows: Google Pixel 9: $159 Google Pixel 9 Pro and 9 Pro XL: $249 Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: $279 Google Pixel Fold: $279 Google Pixel 8 Pro: $249 Google Pixel 8: $159 Google Pixel 8a: $109 Google Pixel 7a: $99 Google Pixel 7 Pro: $199 Google Pixel 7: $149 Google Pixel Tablet: $99 Google Pixel Watch 3: $89 Google Pixel Watch 2: $89 The above prices offer buyers a slight discount on Preferred Care compared to the cost of subscribing monthly for two years. Of course, the downside is that you can't insure your Pixel device with Preferred Care beyond 24 months if you use the upfront option.
