F1 OTT release: When and where to expect Brad Pitt's sports drama
F1 OTT release: F1, starring Brad Pitt, hit the screens on June 27 much to the delight of fans. It received positive reviews and also made a good impact at the box office. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, the sports drama earned nearly Rs 5.25 crore in India on the first day. The film will premiere on an OTT platform after its theatrical run. F1 may premiere on OTT in September F1 has started its box office journey on a good note and has impressed critics with its execution and technical aspects. It will eventually be available on OTT. According to a report by OTT Play, a website, F1 is expected to land on Apple TV+ after its run in theaters ends. Moreover, it is available on the platform three months after its theatrical debut. As such, it may be available on AppleTV+ by September end. This, however, is speculative as no announcement has been made. Moreover, fans might have to wait a bit longer to watch it on OTT if it performs well at the box office. About F1 F1 is a high-octane sports drama directed by Joseph Kosinski. Brad Pitt returns to the big screen in F1: The Movie, a high-energy racing drama bringing Formula 1 to the masses in the form of a summer blockbuster. Directed by Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton, the film debuted internationally on June 25 and is now playing in the U.S. as of today. Set in the world of elite motorsports, F1 follows veteran driver Sonny Hayes (Pitt) as he comes out of retirement to join the fictional APXGP team at the behest of its owner (played by Javier Bardem), his longtime friend. But it's no easy transition, as he clashes with the team's hot new rookie, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). Kerry Condon and Kim Bodnia round out the cast. In a unique move for a Hollywood film, Pitt and Idris performed their own driving on real circuits, filmed during actual Grand Prix weekends. To achieve a realistic effect, Kosinski and his team used miniature IMAX-certified cameras mounted directly onto the race cars. Pitt described filming as 'one of the most extraordinary' experiences of his career, adding in an F1 interview, 'It's really fun, it's exciting, it's adventurous, and you feel it. I do. I hope others do too.' Kosinski set out to make, as he told GQ, 'the most authentic, realistic, and grounded racing movie ever made.' Here's how to watch it. For now, F1: The Movie is only available in theaters. While Apple has not announced an official streaming release date, the film is expected to arrive on Apple TV+, based on previous Apple releases like Napoleon and Killers of the Flower Moon. Need a new thriller series this weekend? Try Smoke
"Whatever you do, whatever you know, however much lifetime wisdom you've accrued, fire puts a lie to it all." Author Dennis Lehane (Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone, Shutter Island, The Wire) has reteamed with his Black Bird star Taron Egerton for Smoke, a nine-part series on Apple TV+. The writer and actor are in the best of company: joining them is Jurnee Smollett, best known for Friday Night Lights, True Blood, and Lovecraft Country. Chances are you'll be spending a lot of time with the three of them in the weeks ahead. This is quite the power trio, and their show has everything you look for in a new flame. In Smoke, Egerton's fire department investigator Dave Gudsen and Smollett's police detective Michelle Calderon team up to catch two serial arsonists - and both of their careers are at stake. Gudsen has drawn a blank in his work for over a year while Calderon's secondment is effectively a CV-destroying move after an affair with her boss. Things get off to a shaky start, but amidst the paperwork, put-downs, and ashes, a partnership begins to take shape. Gudsen tells Calderon that serial arsonists "tend to be powerless in their own lives", and from the get-go Smoke introduces us to one of them, fast food worker Freddy Fasano, who is excellently played by Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (Blood Diamond, Heroes, The Lincoln Lawyer). So, we get Fasano's backstory as Gudsen and Calderon try to put a face to his fires. You'll just have to watch to find out more about the other arsonist. With great chemistry between Egerton and Smollett, Smoke moves fast and deftly combines the professional and the personal to create one of the more intriguing procedurals of recent telly times. Chase Bets Ben Stiller and David Chang Can Cook Up Excitement Around Sapphire Reserve Revamp
This week Chase shook up the world of premium credit cards with a major revamp of its Sapphire Reserve card. The premium credit card is turning to heavy hitters from the worlds of pop culture and food to help reintroduce the product to the market. Actor-director Ben Stiller, Nobody Wants This producers Erin and Sara Foster, singer-songwriter Ella Langley, and chef and Netflix host David Chang are among those featured in the campaign, which will combine personal narratives, humor and some perks from the new card in its spots. It helps, of course, to have a personal connection. And both Stiller and Chang fit that bill. 'If I want to partner with somebody, it's got to be stuff that I use on a day to day basis,' Chang says. 'That's just who I am and it makes it easy to talk about, because I've been a long time Chase Sapphire Reserve card member. I think inherent in that Sapphire program is that it's probably the single best card that links diners together with eating in restaurants.' Stiller, meanwhile, notes that the refreshed card will offer perks that personal to a few things close to him, namely The New York Knicks, and his Apple TV+ series Severance. Among the perks offered via the Sapphire Reserve will be a special dinner event in New York, where cardmembers can dine on the court at Madison Square Garden, joined by Knicks legends. Stiller, who is frequently seen courtside at MSG, knows what it's like (in fact he jokes about it in one the campaign spots). 'For me, that's a great thing to be able to offer people that's unique, and having experienced it myself, knowing how much I love that and I appreciate it, I thought, 'oh, that's a cool thing to be able to offer people that is not necessarily something you'd be able to get to do elsewhere,' he says of the perk. And the refreshed card will also offer members credits for Apple TV+ and Apple Music, effectively including them as a benefit of the card. That means that Severance could be seen by an audience that hasn't already been exposed. 'Selfishly, I think it's great because more people get to see our show. I think with these streamers, it's an interesting time, because the way people watch things has changed completely,' Stiller says, noting that the complicated and crowded streaming landscape means that standout out asa creative can be challenging. 'To be able to broaden the audience for certain shows that sometimes people might not just be able to watch because they're having to make choices on streamers — which I understand, too, it's just a strange new time in terms of how you make these choices to watch things. 'We've had a long partnership [with Apple] since they started, and working on the show has been kind of my main job for the last five years,' Stiller added. 'So to be able to tie that in and to feel like it just makes sense in terms of what I'm doing creatively, to be able to expand that audience, for people to be able to sample it is really cool, and it felt like a natural fit. Chang, too, sees things through the creative lens. While the Momofuku mogul gained national attention for his restaurants, he has since become a bona fide media personality via his Majordomo Media. 'I don't think of it as any different between the media and the restaurants. And what I mean by that is content is what we create — I spend more time doing that these days — but you just consume that in a different way,' Chang says. 'And I think our values in what we do in the restaurants is no different than the values that we try to do in media, which is education, giving value. And I think it's one of the reasons why our partnership with Chase makes sense as well. I think these are all the same things to sort of make you think about things in a different way, and to widen your scope of what you thought was possible.' And both say that the perks of the card connect to things that are meaningful to them: Travel, food, discovery. 'As a filmmaker, as a kid, I wanted to be making these kind of big, epic movies that I grew up watching,' Stiller says, recalling that people still come up to him say that his 2013 film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty inspired them to travel and explore. 'That's an amazing connection that you can have with people through movies too. I feel like it's very personal, you make something as a filmmaker that you want to see, and then people can connect with that. Because for me, it's always going into nature, and that aspect of movies has always been something that I've loved.' Chang, meanwhile, says that the nature of where we can find good food is changing, citing Japan as an example, where some of the best restaurants are found in subway stations, or atop office buildings. 'I've long said that the future of food is going to be in places that you at least expect it,' he said, adding that Chase has helped shore up food in one of those places: The airport lounge. The bank is opening Sapphire Lounges in airports across the country, and partnering with chefs to help curate their menus. 'It is an oasis when you're in an airport for a lot of reasons, whether you're headed to a business meeting or now I have a family, two kids, you need place that you can sort of regroup,' Chang says, expressing frustration at the status quo outside the lounges. 'With Chase, the lounges that are in growing numbers in airports around the country, are going to be delicious. And I can say that without any BS, because it's true.' 'I Don't Want To Sound Woo Woo': Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein Drops An F-Bomb While Explaining Why He Warmed Up To The Idea Of Making Season 4

About two years after Ted Lasso's Season 3 finale and the presumed ending of the Apple TV+ comedy, it was announced that the series will indeed be returning. It's unknown when, and we don't know who will be part of it yet, but the fact that Season 4 is actually happening is cause for celebration. For a while, it was hard to tell if another season was possible, but luckily, fans won't have to wonder any longer. Now, Roy Kent himself, Brett Goldstein, is revealing why he eventually warmed up to doing another season, and his explanation obviously included an f-bomb. Not only is Goldstein part of the Ted Lasso cast as Roy Kent, but he is also a writer on the show. So he's part of the team that's making decisions about where this next story will go. Now, while talking about Season 4 of Ted Lasso on Vulture's Good One podcast with Jesse David Fox, the Emmy winner opened up about why he warmed up to the idea of returning to Richmond, saying: I think it's to do with the people and the characters and the actors. You have this plan, but then this world starts to build in front of you, and you fall in love with things you didn't know you'd fall in love with. I don't want to sound woo woo, but I do mean this. You still have to stay open to the signs. You always have a plan, but the plan will change because someone is different and what everyone brings. So yes, we've stuck to that plan, but there's so many new, wonderful things within it, that it's like, 'Oh, we could [do more]. I think, I don't know, do you want to hang out in that world anymore? And if so, it's only worth doing if you're going to do it as well [as you've done] if not better.' For a while, it was assumed that Season 3 of Ted Lasso was it, but even though some stories were wrapped up, it was clear that the door wasn't fully closed, and there was potential for a fourth installment or spinoffs. Not only was there still interest within the cast, but fans probably kept their hopes up, too, that something would happen, no matter how much time had passed. Now, even though not much has been shared about what exactly Ted Lasso Season 4 will consist of, it's clear that there are some exciting ideas churning, and Goldstein dropped an appropriate f-bomb while explaining it: When the idea is there, if you remain open to it and the idea comes, you're like, 'Oh! That's a good one.' But then you're like, 'Fuck! Maybe there is more.' And in the case of Ted Lasso, even after saying goodbye, they still returned for another round. Now, the wait for Season 4 could be a long one, but fans have already been waiting for almost two years for news on a fourth season. So, waiting a little bit longer for it to actually come out shouldn't be too painful. Additionally, more news about the new season is expected to be released as they continue developing it, so hopefully, we'll learn more about the cast and the plot sooner rather than later. Ted Lasso continues to be one of the best shows on Apple TV+, so it's not surprising that it's finally coming back. It's unknown when it will eventually return, but for now, fans can watch the first three seasons with an Apple TV+ subscription.
