Arch Manning Had No Words After Peyton Manning's Post on Tuesday
Arch Manning Had No Words After Peyton Manning's Post on Tuesday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. From waterboy to counselor, that has been the trajectory of Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning's experience at the Manning Passing Academy. Advertisement The camp has been running for nearly 30 years and has been hosted by his football-royalty family members. His grandfather, Archie Manning, is in the New Orleans Saints Ring of Honor, while his uncles, Peyton and Eli Manning, each won two Super Bowls during their careers. This year was a tad different for the youngest Manning quarterback, as it came before his first season as the starter for a Longhorns program fresh off two trips to the College Football Playoff. He also had a bit more of a responsibility, as he explained to The Athletic's Larry Holder. "I've gone from waterboy to camper to coach. So I've climbed the ladder," Manning said. Following the camp, his uncle Peyton took to Instagram to share some photos of the event, featuring pictures of he and Sam Leavitt (Arizona State), Austin Simmons (Ole Miss), Miller Moss (Louisville) and Jalon Daniels (Kansas) among others. However, the one picture that many will likely take notice of is the multiple generations of Mannings. Advertisement A picture that Arch shared on his Instagram Story to commemorate the fun few days. Arch Manning shares a picture of himself and his family at the Manning Passing From left to right, the photo features the Texas gunslinger, Eli, Archie, Cooper (Arch's father), and Peyton. While the Mannings certainly had fun throughout the camp, Arch made it clear that he is preparing to be the guy in Austin, expressing how much effort he has put into his preparation, despite all the buzz already anointing him as next year's No. 1 pick. "Yeah, I'm just doing what I can to control what I can control," Manning said. "I'm not really worried about what other people think. Just get my job prepared. And when it's time to go play, go play." Needless to say, plenty of eyes will be on Manning to see how he stacks up to his uncles. Arch Manning Turns Heads With Acting Skills
Arch Manning Turns Heads With Acting Skills originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Is there anything that Arch Manning can't do? The quarterback phenom is one of the most talented players in college football but he's made headlines for a variety of other reasons this week. Advertisement At the beginning of the week, The Athletic released a feature on Manning's family that touched on his upbringing and personal struggles of being in the spotlight at Texas. Arch arrived at the Manning Passing Academy toward the end of the week and shared a variety of funny stories with the media. One joke in particular made its rounds on social media about him taking shots at bars. Now, Manning is being praised for his acting skills. Arch appeared in a Canes commercial on Friday alongside his father (Cooper), grandfather (Archie), and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. Nussmeier and Manning have been long-time friends and are currently rooming together at the Manning Passing Academy. Arch jokes about how his dad "will not leave me alone" when Nussmeier chimes in "at least your dad didn't move to Louisiana and start calling plays." Arch has signed numerous NIL deals up to this point including Red Bull, Panini America, Vuori, and Uber. He's the highest-earning college athlete at the moment with an NIL valuation of $6.8 million. Advertisement With a successful year on the field in 2025, that number will only continue to grow. Texas' Arch Manning recalls advice from Matthew McConaughey at Manning Passing Academy
There are lots of eyes that gravitate toward the starting quarterback at a blue-blood college football program, let alone at a program such as Texas. For first-year starter Arch Manning, there comes even more fame and expectations given his family lineage, having Super Bowl-winning uncles Peyton and Eli Manning, and grandpa Archie Manning, who played in the NFL for 13 years. Arch Manning, speaking to The Athletic in an interview at the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana, mentioned receiving advice from one of the most famous Longhorns about his newfound position with the program. "A few. It depends on the night, but I stay pretty low key," Arch Manning told reporters via The Athletic on Friday when asked of how many picture requests he gets on campus. "... I had to get used to it a little bit. I've actually talked to Matthew McConaughey about that. He's given me some advice. He's been great to have in my corner." McConaughey, who's at nearly every Texas Longhorns football game and is known for his role as the team's "Minister of Culture," knows a thing or two about dealing with fame, especially within the context of Austin, Texas, as the Academy Award winner graduated from UT in 1993 and has taught classes at the university. Arch Manning, according to On3's name, image and likeness valuations, is the most valuable college athlete in 2025, as he's worth $6.8 million according to the metric. Arch Manning was even recently featured in a Raising Cane's advertisement alongside his dad, Cooper Manning, Archie Manning and LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier. MORE: Steve Spurrier questions Arch Manning as Heisman Trophy favorite, Texas as SEC frontrunner Arch Manning, Cooper Manning, Archie Manning, Garrett Nussmeier, and Todd Graves always stop when they pass a Cane's on their way to @Manning Passing Academy What did McConaughey tell Arch Manning as the former No. 1-ranked quarterback takes over as signal caller in 2025 after two years of being Quinn Ewers' backup? "He's way more known than I am, so it's good anytime you get advice from him," Arch Manning said. "… He kind of told me you still have to live your life. He says he goes to the grocery store, walks down every aisle and he lives his life. You can't let you taking a picture or signing an autograph affect your life." Arch Manning passed for 939 yards with nine touchdowns to two interceptions as a redshirt freshman last season, also rushing for 108 yards and four scores. The 6-foot-4 quarterback threw for 325 yards with two touchdowns in a start against Mississippi State, as he filled in for the injured Ewers. Arch Manning is set to be perhaps the most talked about college athlete across all sports in 2025, and he'll look to remember McConaughey's advice as he aims to get Texas back to the College Football Playoff for the third consecutive year.

Archie Manning 'excited' Jaxson Dart landed with New York Giants
Some of the New York Giants' greatest successes in their century-long history have come with an Ole Miss alum under center. In the 1950s, there was Charlie Conerly, who led the Giants to the 1956 NFL Championship. His No. 42 was retired by Big Blue after a stellar 14-year career. Advertisement Next came Eli Manning, who would break almost every relevant franchise passing record and win two Super Bowls, in which he was named MVP in both. Eli's No. 10 is also retired by the Giants. Manning's father, Archie, is perhaps the most celebrated of all of the Rebels' quarterbacks. He is the patriarch of the Manning quarterback dynasty and founder of the Manning Passing Academy. The latest Ole Miss product is Giants' first-round pick Jaxson Dart, who is an MPA alumnus. Both Archie and Eli are big backers of Dart, who is projected to be the Giants' franchise quarterback of the future. Dart will start the season as a backup to starter Russell Wilson, but many experts are predicting that he will see the field sooner rather than later. The Giants have mapped out a development program for Dart and appear to be intent on following it, but his learning curve seems to be flatter than they initially anticipated. Projected the full first round order of the 2026 NFL draft based on Super Bowl odds
Projected the full first round order of the 2026 NFL draft based on Super Bowl odds Even though teams are focused on the offseason workout programs with their new additions to the team, our eyes are turning to the upcoming 2026 NFL draft. Who could be the top team? There are plenty of options, but only one team can turn that card in for the first-overall selection. There is plenty of time to dive into the specifics. After a successful NFL draft in Green Bay, the venue will move to another city with a rich history and a passionate fan base. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Steel City will host the annual event. Where will the Steelers select, and just who could be on their radar by the time April rolls around? Here is the projected order based on current odds; ties are listed in alphabetical order. New Orleans Saints New York Giants Cleveland Browns Tennessee Titans Carolina Panthers New York Jets Las Vegas Raiders Indianapolis Colts Atlanta Falcons Cleveland Browns via Jacksonville Jaguars New England Patriots Seattle Seahawks Miami Dolphins Dallas Cowboys Arizona Cardinals Pittsburgh Steelers Denver Broncos Chicago Bears Houston Texans Minnesota Vikings Tampa Bay Buccaneers Los Angeles Chargers Green Bay Packers Cincinnati Bengals Atlanta Falcons via Los Angeles Rams San Francisco 49ers Washington Commanders Kansas City Chiefs Detroit Lions Buffalo Bills Baltimore Ravens Philadelphia Eagles It would be quite ironic if the New Orleans Saints, who land at No. 1 here, use that pick to select Arch Manning with the top pick. Especially when you factor in that the team drafted his grandfather, Archie Manning, with the No. 2 pick in the 1971 NFL draft. It could come full circle 55 years later. There is no guarantee that Arch Manning will enter the NFL draft, but returning to his hometown to lead the franchise as his grandfather and namesake once did, but this might be too good of a dream to pass up. The running narrative is that next year's quarterback class will be better, and honestly, it can't get much worse than the past class. We were spoiled in 2024 when five quarterbacks were selected over the first 12 picks of the first round. This past year, that number dropped to five quarterbacks being selected over the first three rounds of the draft. With names like the aforementioned Arch Manning to go along with LaNorris Sellers, Cade Klubnik, Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Allar, and John Mateer gives us the indication that it will, in fact, be a better class.
