Is Trader Joe's open on the 4th of July?

July 4th is the day we all wear our best red, white, and blue hues, and get together for barbecues and brews to celebrate the OG Brexit. This year the 4th of July is on a Friday, which could make it even more of a party. But what happens if you realize you're a little low on wings and beer and need to make a day-of grocery run? Don't miss the move: SIGN UP for TheStreet's FREE Daily newsletter Most holidays typically mean limited hours or outright closures for retailers, making people wonder whether their go-to grocery store is open. There's nothing worse than showing up with your Trader Joe's with tote bags in hand, only to find a big Closed sign on the door. So you might be wondering: "Is Trader Joe's open on the 4th of July?" On almost every day of the year, whether you're planning to stock up on staples or just need to grab a few things for your BBQ, Trader Joe's is a safe bet. The only holidays Trader Joe's closes for are New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day - but there's a caveat. Image source:Trader Joe's closes early on Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Eve. July 4th isn't one of those holidays where you can expect most businesses to be closed. Some employees might even be happy to be working, since they could get premium pay. Trader Joe's is said to be one of those companies that pays their employees a little extra for working when everyone else is playing. The company reportedly pays employees an extra $10 an hour if they work on Sundays or a holiday like the 4th of July. Since most Trader Joe's will close early on July 4th, you'll want to check the company's website for your store's hours. Most locations will open at their usual time - 8 a.m. or 9 a.m. - but they might be closing as early as 5 p.m. You can check your local store hours on the Trader Joe's website. Summertime fun in the sun doesn't come without its consequences. While enjoying your stand up paddleboard may be relaxing, the stress begins when you need to store it. That's where Wayfair comes in. It's currently selling a metal storage shed at over half off, but a deal this good sells out quickly, so you may not want to dilly dally. The JolyDale Metal Storage Shed is on sale for only $182. That's 55% off the original price of $400. This may be your best chance to get durable outdoor storage at a reasonable price. Courtesy of Wayfair While 6 feet by 4 feet may not sound huge, it's large enough to fit the needs of most outdoor essentials. Whether you want to store your lawnmower and other yard tools or beach floaties and sports equipment, this shed has you covered. Made from rust-resistant galvanized steel, it can keep your items safe from the elements all year round. With built-in ventilation, an outer deadbolt lock, and wide-opening double doors, you can use this shed for just about anything and feel that the contents are secure inside. A sloped roof keeps rain, snow, and leaves from collecting atop the shed, for an added layer of protection. The tan and brown color motif will fit in perfectly in just about any outdoor space. Related: Wayfair is selling a 'comfortable' $600 sleeper chair for $253 that's 'perfect as an extra sleeping space' Wayfair shoppers had plenty of positive things to say about this shed in the reviews. Another buyer said, "The shed is just the right size for our storage needs…made of sturdy metal." The JoyDale Metal Storage Shed would be a great addition to any backyard or patio. For just $182 it can be all yours, and you may never have to worry about outdoor storage again. The Arena Media Brands, LLC THESTREET is a registered trademark of TheStreet, Inc.

Stock Market Today: Investors Undaunted After U.S. Air Strikes in Iran

Not exactly the reaction in the markets I'd have expected this morning! As you've undoubtedly heard, over the weekend the U.S. attacked Iran's nuclear capabilities. It was called Operation Midnight Hammer. While President Trump had telegraphed that it would happen over the next two weeks, this type of entry into a war is rarely met with a yawn by the markets. But that seems to be what we've got today. Stock futures are trading slightly lower, bond futures are up modestly, and gold and oil are off by less than half a percent. ThinkOrSwim What gives? Well, for one thing, investors appear to believe that the conflict will remain in that region and not spill over to the U.S. Israel has severely weakened Iran's ability to lead an offensive, and other Middle East countries have not stepped in to help the Islamic Republic. I guess it pays not to bully your neighbors and friends. Whether you think this attack was a good thing or a bad thing, we will know only with the benefit of hindsight. Likely many years from now. Until then all we have is the market in front of us. And could that market be weakening? Helene Meisler notes that stocks are little changed over the past month and that investor sentiment has changed. Bulls now outnumber bears, to the point that could indicate that the market is ready to turn lower. At the same time, market breadth, or the number of stocks going up vs. down, seems to be weakening. While this isn't a sell signal, it bears attention. Finally, could we be nearing the point where small caps could outperform? Stock Market Today: Waiting on the Fed

Happy Fed Day! Will they or won't they? Actually, that's not really the question. The market is pricing in almost a 0% chance that the Federal Reserve moves on interest rates today. So, any move will be a huge surprise. The real question is what will the Fed say? About future moves, that is. Look for a statement from the Fed around 2 p.m. U.S. EDT today and a news conference with Chairman Jerome Powell 30 minutes morning's economic reports include initial jobless claims and housing starts. Jobless claims dropped to 245,000 for the week of June 14, below expectations of 251,000. While the beat is good, this is near the highest levels of the year and indicates a cooling job market. Housing starts were also below expectations, which in this case is not good. Starts were 1.26 million vs. a forecast of 1.36 million. Housing remains unaffordable for many Americans. So, how are markets reacting? Honestly, I think they're paying more attention to the Middle East and waiting for the Fed. Speaking of the Middle East, Iran's Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that he will not surrender to Israel. So, investors should not expect a quick end to this conflict. Futures are modestly higher this morning. S&P 500 futures are up 0.12%, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq is 0.2% higher. Bonds are rallying, too, although well off their highs of the day. The U.S. 10-year treasury note is up 0.04% and is priced to yield 4.38%. Crude oil continues tomarch higher on Middle East tensions. ThinkOrSwim Thought of the day: It's the reaction to news that matters. And when expected relationships change, it's important to understand why and what that means. Here, Timmer shows that typical "risk off" reactions to news have changed. The U.S. is looking less like the safe haven it has always been for investors.
