Dreame F10 robot launched in India at Rs 21,999 along with Prime Day deals

Smart home appliance brand Dreame Technology, on July 8, Tuesday, launched its latest product, the F10 Robot Vacuum, in India. The device is priced at Rs 21,999 and will be available at a reduced price of Rs 19,999 during Amazon's Prime Day sale on July 12-14. The F10 is designed as a robotic vacuum and mop hybrid. It includes a 13,000Pa suction motor, which is among the highest currently available in its segment. According to the company, the high level of suction is intended to handle a variety of surface debris, including dust, crumbs, and pet fur. The vacuum features Smart Pathfinder navigation, which allows it to scan and map rooms to create cleaning routes. It supports cliff detection, multi-surface transitions, and a 20mm threshold climbing, allowing it to adjust to different floor plans typically found in Indian homes. It is powered by a 5200mAh battery, which the company stated can last up to 300 minutes and cover areas up to 270 square meters. Users can control the device through a mobile app that supports features such as multi-floor mapping, no-mop zones, virtual boundaries, and scheduling. The device is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri for voice-controlled operation. The F10 includes a 570ml dustbin and a 235ml water tank. The water flow for mopping can be adjusted across three levels. The brush system is designed to minimise hair tangling, which may appeal to pet owners. 'With the F10, we're reaffirming our deep commitment to delivering intelligent, high-performance cleaning solutions tailored for Indian homes,' said Manu Sharma, Managing Director of Dreame India. 'Whether it's hard floors or carpets, the F10's class-leading suction power is specifically designed to handle the high dust levels typical in Indian households – ensuring a deep, thorough clean every time,' he added. Dreame is offering a one-year warranty and has made after-sales support available through pickup and drop, as well as on-site service in 165 Indian cities. A customer care helpline is operational throughout the week, with reduced hours on Sundays. The Dreame F10 will be sold exclusively via Amazon India, with the introductory price applicable during the Prime Day sale. Cloudflare will now block AI bots by default on new sites

Cloudflare, which protects around 20% of all websites globally, is changing how AI companies interact with the open web. The company will now block AI crawlers by default on all newly onboarded websites, forcing AI firms to get explicit consent before accessing site content for training or search. The move is Cloudflare's latest effort to prevent content scraping, which involves automatically extracting data from websites using AI bots without permission and usually for malicious intent. This change comes alongside the launch of a new product called Pay per Crawl, a marketplace that allows website owners and media publishers to charge AI bots for scraping their content. Publishers can set custom pricing depending on the use case – whether the data will be used to train large language models, power real-time search results, or assist independent bots. The product aims to create more transparency and fairness in how AI firms obtain data. Leading media outlets such as Condé Nast, TIME, and The Atlantic have already joined the program, blaming declining referral traffic on AI-generated answers increasingly reducing the need for users to click through to original sources. These publishers, among others, argue that without fair compensation, AI scraping undermines their ability to sustain journalism and content creation. Cloudflare also released comparative crawl-to-crawl ratios that highlight the imbalance between traffic generated and data consumed. OpenAI's crawlers reportedly make 1,700 requests per referral, while Anthropic's reach a staggering 73,000-to-1. In contrast, Google's crawl-to-click ratio sits at a more balanced 14-1. The move redefines Cloudflare's role from passive infrastructure to active negotiator in the AI data economy. As AI assistants become more independent, and as AI-generated answers increasingly replace traditional web traffic, tools like Pay per Crawl could determine which sites get fairly compensated. WhatsApp rolls out AI chat support and voice calling, among other tools for businesses

Meta is turning WhatsApp into much more than a messaging app. At its annual Conversations 2025 event, held in Miami, the company unveiled three major upgrades to the WhatsApp Business platform, designed to make marketing easier, grow AI-driven customer support, and enable richer communication with customers through voice and video. One of the biggest announcements was a centralised system for managing marketing campaigns across Meta platforms. Businesses can now create and manage campaigns for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook in a single place via Meta's Ad Manager. Once a business uploads its customer list, it can either manually send WhatsApp campaigns or use Meta's Advantage+ AI to automatically optimise spending and delivery across platforms, including new ad placements like the WhatsApp Status feature. The move allows businesses to streamline marketing, especially when targeting repeat customers or offering limited-time deals. The second major push is centred around AI-powered business assistants. These go beyond answering FAQs – WhatsApp's AI can now deliver personalised product recommendations, help customers browse options, guide them through checkout, and even handle post-purchase follow-ups. In other words, a customer can complete an end-to-end shopping journey entirely within a WhatsApp thread without switching to another app or website. Meta says this particular tool is now expanding to more businesses in Mexico and will soon reach additional markets. The third and most significant change for customer support teams is the rollout of voice and video calling on the WhatsApp Business platform. Once customers opt in, businesses will be able to place or receive calls, helping people resolve their queries faster. WhatsApp is also adding support for voice notes, which offers more flexible support experiences, especially in industries like telehealth, finance, and education. Meta has hinted this could lead to AI-powered voice support in the future. (This article has been curated by Arfan Jeelany, who is an intern with The Indian Express)

Your child can also make UPI payments: Here's how UPI Circle works for children

As India's digital payments ecosystem continues to evolve, many parents are asking a practical question: Can my child use UPI to make payments? The answer is yes – either through delegated access like UPI Circle, or, in some cases, with their own UPI ID, depending on their age and bank account status. UPI Circle is a delegated payments feature available on apps like Google Pay and BHIM. It allows a primary user (in this case, a parent) to link their bank account and pick a secondary user (your child) to make payments, either with certain transaction limits or subject to the parent's approval. Once set up, your child can scan QR codes and send money through your UPI ID. They do not get access to your bank account or UPI PIN, so that you stay in control the entire time. You can set daily or monthly limits, or opt to approve each transaction individually. This setup is ideal for children under 15 or for those without their own bank account. It helps introduce them to responsible spending while ensuring that an adult is always in charge. Yes, but with certain conditions. If your child is 15 years or older and has their own bank account in their name (not a joint minor account), they can register for a UPI ID. Several banks allow minors as young as 10 to set up bank accounts, though parental documentation like a PAN card is typically required. Once the UPI ID is active, most apps allow them to send and receive payments independently, often with daily limits up to Rs 1 lakh, depending on the bank. That being said, many parents still prefer to use UPI Circle even with older teens, as it offers a layer of oversight without entirely restricting digital access. – Open Google Pay or BHIM app and click on your profile picture. – Scroll down and select UPI Circle. – Click on UPI Circle and choose 'Add Family or Friends' to add members. – Enter their UPI ID. You can also scan their UPI Circle QR code. – Click 'Add to My UPI Circle' – Choose between 'spend with limits' (for transactions within a set limit) or 'approve every payment' (requiring your approval for each transaction). – Enter your UPI PIN to add the secondary user. So, which option is right for you? If your child is under 15 or does not have a bank account, use UPI Circle. If your child is 15+ with a bank account in their name, they can apply for their own UPI ID or use UPI Circle for restricted access.
