Emma Stone 'really wanted to work with Ari Aster'
Emma Stone "really wanted to work" with Eddington director Ari Aster. The 36-year-old actress stars alongside the likes of Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, and Austin Butler in the new comedy-drama film - but Emma admits that Ari really attracted her to the project. Asked what drew her to the movie, Emma told Extra: "Honestly, I loved the script, but the biggest draw for me was Ari." Emma is a long-time fan of the filmmaker, who previously helmed movies such as Hereditary and Midsommar. And the award-winning actress jumped at the opportunity to work with Ari. She shared: "I love Ari's other films. "I like him so much as a person and had gotten to know him for years before this, and so when he asked me if I wanted to be a part of it, I just said yes because I really, really wanted to work with Ari." Emma would actually love to work with Ari, 38, on another movie. Asked about the prospect of reuniting with him for another film, the actress replied: "I would love to, if he'll have me." Emma also relished the experience of working with the film's star-studded cast. However, she never actually got to shoot any scenes with Pedro Pascal. She explained: "I didn't get to work with him. You'll see in the movie, we don't get to intersect, but I've gotten to hang out with him outside of it, so it feels like it all evened out." Despite this, Emma can't wait to see her co-star in the new Fantastic Four movie. She said: "Of course I'm gonna see Fantastic Four. That trailer? With the song Fantastic Four where they're singing it? I mean, Pedro's enough for me, but then we got that great song? I'm in." Emma is one of the best-known actresses in Hollywood, but she previously confessed to suffering from crippling anxiety during her younger years. She told Rolling Stone magazine: "My brain [was] naturally zooming 30 steps ahead to the worst-case scenario. "My anxiety was constant. I would ask my mom a hundred times how the day would lay out. What time she was going to drop me off? Where was she going to be? What would happen at lunch? Feeling nauseous. At a certain point, I couldn't go to friends' houses anymore – I could barely get out the door to school." Emma's parents eventually encouraged her to see a therapist, and that proved to be a turning point for the movie star. She said: "I drew a little green monster on my shoulder that speaks to me in my ear and tells me all these things that aren't true. And every time I listen to it, it grows bigger. If I listen to it enough, it crushes me. But if I turn my head and keep doing what I'm doing it shrinks and fades away."

Europe's seven-time best airport opens the world's first runway sauna
Finland's Helsinki Airport has heated up the world's first runway sauna in order to help incomers relax and unwind as soon as they arrive in the famously happy country The world's first runway sauna has opened. It is perhaps unsurprising that the world's sauna capital, which is home to three million saunas or one for every two people, is the first to set one up on the tarmac. Finland's Helsinki Airport has heated up the runway sauna in order to help incomers relax and unwind as soon as they arrive. 'Most airports have transit zones – some even have saunas. But only Helsinki Airport can offer a transit to Finnish happiness. It is the touchpoint to tune into the rhythm, values and mindset of Finland. Your story can go anywhere from here. To showcase this short transition, we built the world's first runway sauna at Helsinki Airport,' says Anna Tuomi, Finavia's head of marketing. Helsinki Airport has been selected as the best airport in Europe seven times within the past eight years. According to Finavia, "it is a melting pot of diversity and a gateway to Finnish design and local values of trust and equity. The sauna culture welcomes everyone." The word 'sauna' is the only Finnish word which has entered into mainstream usage around the world without being translated into other languages. It only takes approximately three hours from London and two hours from Berlin to land in Helsinki to experience the local sauna culture. There are also three saunas right at the Helsinki Airport terminal — and more waiting in nearby hotels and around the airport area. From the airport, it's only a short trip to explore the wide variety of saunas located across the Helsinki metropolitan area. 'Finland is known as the world's happiest country and the timeless tradition of sauna is at the heart of Finnish culture. At Finavia, we've brought these elements together to celebrate Finnish happiness,' Tuomi added. Aviation and saunas are two things that have been brought together before. Ari and Jari Lehtinen, 57-year-old twins known for their unconventional sauna designs, have successfully launched their latest creation, which combines Finland's love for saunas with getting up in the air. The innovative flying sauna, weighing just 170 kg, ascended to an altitude of 2,300 metres during its inaugural flight, allowing its occupants to experience temperatures of 80 degrees Celsius while floating above the Finnish landscape. The flight lasted approximately one hour, with two sauna enthusiasts and two crew members on board. Ari explained the motivation behind the project. "It's always about attempting something that others don't do. And sauna is always fun. People are usually in high spirits when saunas are involved. This is an incredibly good counterbalance for work," he said. This airborne sauna is the latest in a series of unique projects by the Lehtinen brothers. Previously, they created an underwater sauna, a hemp-constructed sauna, and a cowhide-covered mobile sauna. Their previous endeavours have taken them to extreme locations, including a sauna session atop Halti fell, Finland's highest point, during a snowstorm.

Jonathan Bailey says Wicked sequel is ‘darker' and will ‘go there politically'
The Bridgerton star, 37, plays Prince Fiyero in the films, also starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, which are adapted from the musical of the same name. 'Being slightly off the M1 in Munchkinland, with Ari singing a beautiful mezzo soprano, and then seeing cars pulling up on the hard shoulder trying to record it, and then seeing men in the sky, (which) turned out to be microlights and drones, it was like Independence Day,' he told British GQ. A post shared by British GQ (@britishgq) He added: 'I remember having four hours to learn how to do a dance move. I did it with Ari, headbutted her, and was like, 'Gotta go!'. 'I think she might have even headbutted me, but it was a meeting of minds, literally.' Wicked's next instalment will arrive in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from November 21 and will cover the years after Elphaba, played by Erivo, parted ways with her friend Glinda (Grande). Wicked: For Good will also show Elphaba being demonised by those in Oz, and transformed into The Wicked Witch Of The West. The films have been adapted from the musical, which was based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel – which was in turn inspired by the story first told in L Frank Baum's 1900 children's novel, later adapted into the 1939 film starring Judy Garland as Dorothy Gale. Bailey said: 'It's darker, and I've got a sense it's going to go there politically as well. 'Fiyero's arc really kicks off and he literally is transformed by the end.' Other stars of Wicked include Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible, and US actor Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard. A post shared by British GQ (@britishgq) Both Bailey and Goldblum are part of the Jurassic Park franchise. Goldblum played Dr Ian Malcolm in the original 1993 adventure/sci-fi while Bailey stars as Dr Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth, which is yet to be released. 'We'll see how it goes, but there might be a few films down the line where me and him can appear in Jurassic together,' Bailey said. He added: 'Dr Ian Malcolm and Dr Henry Loomis on a night out.' Bailey stars on the cover of the summer Heroes issue of British GQ and will be speaking at the GQ Heroes conference, taking place at Soho Farmhouse, Oxfordshire from July 2 to 4. The Heroes Issue of British GQ is available via digital download and on newsstands on June 10.
