Mastrobuoni hit a liner to left field that scored Randy Arozarena, who slid in just ahead of Ezequiel Durán's throw and catcher Kyle Higashioka's sweeping tag. The Rangers challenged the safe call, which was upheld after a replay review. Advertisement After entering as a pinch-hitter in the 10th inning, Mastrobuoni stayed in the game at third base. He made a running, over-the-shoulder catch down the line in left on Corey Seager's opposite-way popup with the bases loaded to end the 11th. Eduard Bazardo (3-0), the seventh Mariners pitcher, worked the final two innings. Shawn Armstrong (2-3), who threw the top of the 12th, was the eighth Texas pitcher. J.P. Crawford and Julio Rodríguez, the top two batters in the batting other, both had three hits and scored twice as Seattle (42-39) reached the midpoint of its season. Steaks could cost more expensive on weekends if dynamic pricing becomes normal practice, the chief of the Ivy restaurant chain has warned. Jeremy King, who runs the dozens of Ivy restaurants across the country, said that while he was personally 'really uncomfortable' with the practice, he admitted it was 'fair' for restaurants to sell tables to customers willing to spend a certain amount of money. Dynamic pricing is the practice of changing the cost of a product or service depending on demand. It came under fire after Oasis tickets were sold under the practice, leading to a slew of complaints from customers who felt they were overcharged. King, 71, told the Go To Food podcast: 'I don't begrudge the restaurants, for instance, which are using the apps to sell tables in advance because they've got fed up with people who book months in advance and then spend the entire meal taking photographs of themselves and of the food, ordering the absolute minimum they can just so they can put it on social media. 'So hold the tables back and those restaurants that say if you're willing to pay £200 we have a table for you on a Saturday, I think that's fair. 'I don't like the encroaching dynamic pricing whereby your steak is going to cost more on a Saturday night than it is on a Monday night, that makes me really uncomfortable but that's coming through. We've already seen it in the theatre.' Earlier this year, King gave diners who went to two of his restaurants, Arlington and The Park, a 25% discount if they ate after 9pm in order to encourage later dining times. In February, Disney came under fire after it said that tickets to its American theme parks would jump with demand under a new dynamic pricing plan. Currently, entry to Walt Disney World in Orlando and Disneyland near LA is priced based on pre-set peak and off-peak dates. Under the expected plan—already rolled out at Disneyland Paris—ticket prices at the US parks will fluctuate in real-time based on demand. The new scheme —which would cause huge variations in price —could be introduced by the the end of March, Richard Greenfield of closely-watched Wall Street researchers Lightshed Partners said on Friday. Disney fan Jasmin Guevara, who lives in LA and regularly visits Disneyland in nearby Anaheim, said: 'Does Disney have no shame? 'It has jacked up prices time and time again in the past few years. This will just be another way to squeeze even more money out of me and my family.' Greenfield, respected investor and analyst, explained the timing. He wrote: 'Given the early success of Disneyland Paris' pricing strategy shift, we expect Disney to announce it is moving to a similar airline-style, dynamic pricing plan in the US later in Q1 2025.'

Chris Young, the team's president of baseball operations, said Friday that Langford has a 'very low grade' strain. The second-year outfielder hasn't played since Tuesday in Baltimore. Advertisement 'Feel like it's just the right thing to do. With two off days, it shortens the amount of games missed,' Young said. 'Just getting this right on the front end.' The Rangers, also before the opener of their home series against Seattle, activated right-hander Nathan Eovaldi from the 15-day injured list to start Friday night, exactly one month after his last game before going on the IL because of elbow inflammation. Right-handed reliever Dane Dunning was sent back to Triple-A Round Rock. Michael Helman, a outfielder-middle infielder who was claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh last month, was being brought up from Triple-A to take over Langford's roster spot. Young said Langford's issue was 'just on the cusp' of whether he needed to go on the IL. But the move was backdated to Wednesday, and combined with off days for the Rangers on consecutive Thursdays, Langford will miss only eight games if he has the expected minimal IL stay. He is hitting .232 with a team-leading 13 home runs and 31 RBIs. Bradford's surgery Left-hander Cody Bradford was back in the clubhouse with teammates and went to the pregame pitching meeting Friday, two days season-ending elbow surgery. Young said Bradford's surgery was successful, and that team physician Dr. Keith Meister did an internal brace procedure rather than a more extensive procedure. The pitcher will still be out at least 10-12 months, but that is shorter than if he had needed Tommy John surgery. Advertisement Bradford was expected to be part of the starting rotation this season, but was shut down during spring training in mid-March because of elbow soreness. His rehab had been going good until Bradford felt something in his elbow when he resumed throwing after a recent flu bug. The 27-year-old Bradford is 10-6 with a 4.28 ERA in 34 games (21 starts) for Texas the past two seasons. As a rookie, Bradford was 1-0 with a 1.17 ERA in five relief appearances during the 2023 playoffs when the Rangers won their first World Series title. He pitched a scoreless inning in both of his World Series appearances. 'The brace procedure, optimistically, would mean a shorter timeline to returning to competition,' Young said.
